My cousin and I decided to have a ‘treat yourself’ day, and looked up nail salons in the area to visit. In spite of a few questionable reviews on here, we decided to give Fuschia Beauty Lounge a try, and truly, it was wonderful! Five stars. I strongly recommend it.
We were walk-​ins on a Sunday, so the wait was long, but it was worth it. We had tea while we waited (although next time, I will go for the complimentary wine over complimentary tea. I don’t know what I was thinking with tea, silly me). The price list very clearly defines what services are included in each level of mani/​pedi, and the price can not be beat. The décor, as mentioned, is adorable, and very comfortable. But most of all, the service is fantastic.
$ 21 for a regular mani/​pedi, which included everything that makes mani/​pedis great, most especially the hand and foot massages. The girl who worked with me was excellent– so meticulous in her removal of my (extremely) dry cuticles, as well as with the painting. You may wait a bit to get started, but that’s because each girl takes her time with her customer, and when it’s your turn you’ll be so glad that they do. I will most definitely be returning, very possibly on a regular basis.

Absolutely love this place! Their staff is very welcoming and they take their time with you. I don’t feel rushed like I do in all the other nail salons in Jackson heights. Prices are great and the décor is lovely.

I love this nail salon. I am treated like a Queen. I don’t mind traveling from Manhattan, or commuting home to New Jersey because they are the absolute best. The owners and the employees make me feel special, welcomed and appreciated. They are generous, use quality products and their prices aren’t astronomical. Not only that, their talent is phenomenal. I had a 24 year old young lady paint an original design on my nails. She did a beautiful and meticulous job. I would rate this place more stars if I could. This salon sets the bar higher than any other salon I have been to in my life. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely love the care and attention they give me every time. I have been a regular ever since they first opened. Also they are very clean; you constantly see them cleaning I must say. Oh and there’s free wine

This is the best mani and pedi salon in the area. The ladies are super sweet and caring. They have the place super clean every time. The prices are really good and they always welcome you with a smile.

I’ve been coming to this spot for over a year. The «new» remodeling job looks awesome and everyone has always been super nice an accommodating. I will continue coming here for all my mani pedi needs!

All I can say is EXCELLENT! First things first the place is so beautifully decorated, Not to mention the place is VERY clean! The quality was wonderful as well! They really take their time when working on your nails. I was VERY surprised to see the prices on things are very affordable as well! The best part of my experience was the customer service. You are offered an assortment of complimentary drinks on top of everything else. It was overall an amazing experience! I have never been more satisfied with any other salon before! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ recommend if you want to have an incredible time and really feel pampered for a day. Definitely my new favorite place to come! This Nail Salon is absolutely gorgeous! I was greeted by the staff immediately and was recognized. huge (+). They were very friendly and the owner made sure that I was taken care of. The nail technician Paola was a sweetheart! She took her time with me and made sure I was satisfied with my service. She didn’t rush like other nail salons. This place was very clean and they used Sterilized utensils and one time use pedicure filers which was a huge plus too. I had a mani/​pedi done and it looks beautiful, note that also there were no bubbles on my nails and the nail polish was up to date. This nail Solon is a Gem and I am very happy they have decided to open their business in my neighborhood in Jackson Heights! I will be taking many trips here again and will also inform my friends… I have been looking for a decent nail Solon for some time now, knowing that there are 4 nail salons steps from my apartment. I tried out this awesome place and I am very satisfied !

This place is a gem. We need more places like this in Jackson Heights. They gave me a nice mani/​pedi offered me coffee and wine. The owners are great and very friendly. The only issue I have is that I wish they would moisturize my feet more so I could get that soft feeling down there but other than that everything was perfect.

Don’t come here! They gave me a nail infection after she injured me nail ! Then they gave my mom fungus ! If I could then I would not even rate them one star and just less. I would prefer going to another nail salon

We have a problem. You completely ignored the problem: my toe infection from a service provided at your salon. You didn’t even apologize for my inconvenience and discomfort by your employee. Yet you apologize because I never got an appointment until my first and last experience?
You are basically in full denial that the incident ever occurred. In fact, you basically stated that your employees are «good girls,» «experts,» and «clean their tools.» Yet the problem is that the tool was not adequately cleaned… better yet STERILIZED. Don’t you think a tech (who is licensed and goes through their training) would be taught the fundamentals of how not to spread infectious diseases and infections? When you say «the rule to do it in the bathroom where it has been in fact been taking place,» that doesn’t give me confidence that the cleaning process is even effective. Basically it’s behind the scenes of what happens in the front. There is no accountability visible to the client. So now when you say I have «inspired (you) to have our techs clean their tools on the pedicure spot» deeply upsets me. Both Deanna and I pointed out that this wasn’t even happening as a basic rule of common sense. She had cuticles from ANOTHER woman on the clipper when HER technician was removing her cuticles. Are you aware that diseases can be transmitted through blood? The saddest part of it all is that you called her a liar. So essentially, in your eyes, I am a liar too. That this occurrence is completely inconceivable.
Do you see where there is a huge disconnect on YOUR accountability? It’s not OUR jobs as clients to tell YOU how to do YOUR business. Maybe this is an excellent opportunity for us to contact Governor Cuomo’s office and suggest perhaps their basic guidelines for nail salons are inadequate. Perhaps all NY nail salons have to follow the same level of cleanliness and sterilization. That sounds expensive for you — sterilizers, disposable buffers — filers — scrubbers, individually packaged sterile tools… Did you not see the bill they are proposing for tattoo artists to use individually packaged inks to avoid cross contamination? This is a reality.
It wouldn’t hurt to train, provide a manual, and be proactive about enforcing basic hygienic standards. Right now the only thing you give a shit about is handing someone a glass of champagne and provide an atmospheric vibe — which is really insignificant in the scheme of things. Yeah women want to feel special and have a good time… but what’s not a good time is having a swollen pussing toe two weeks. You think I even want to wear sandals at this point?

It took me months before I was able to get a walk in appointment. When I initially came in, one of the girls tried to up sell me on a non-​UV light gel. When I declined, she passed me on to someone else. The women decided to have me do pedicure first. I was supposed to be walked over to the «nail bar» to get my manicure afterwards but they took a bunch of walk in appointments and there were no seats left. The tech asked if it was okay to do my manicure where I sat. I said I was happy to wait for an opening at the nail bar but she insisted she didn’t mind doing my manicure right then and there. I wasn’t in a rush.
I have to agree with Deanna. I didn’t see sterilization of the tools. I saw some disposable stuff, like a buffer, but I didn’t see the tools my tech used come out of a sterilizer. In fact, they came out of a pencil case with a bunch of other tools. I should have said something once I realized. Unfortunately a decent good pedi turned out to be not so ideal. My tech was very accommodating trying to remove an ingrown nail but I am, over a week later, recovering from an infection in the spot that she took out the ingrown nail. I wouldn’t be surprised it was from a dirty tool. She dropped some weird blue liquid over the spot after she removed cuticles. It stung, but I’m not quite sure that was an antiseptic. I’m pretty positive the cleanliness is not up to code.
Overall I wasn’t impressed with the managing of clients or the toe infection. Totally at your own risk.

I went on Friday afternoon and got a mani/​pedi from Gladys, and Gladys gave me an ingrown nail during the pedicure. It was so painful. I had to see a podiatrist today to get the ingrown nail removed. So what was just a $ 21 mani/​pedi has now become a $ 100+ foot procedure and it’ll take 6 months for my toenail to grow back. Bottom line: It’s just not worth it; I’d avoid this place at all costs. It also seems unsanitary: the nail technicians don’t sterilize their tools, clippers, etc. in between clients.

This place is pretty great.
I saw it had good reviews so decided to come here since I was near by. The salon is in immaculate condition. It just opened up in May ’15 so all the appliances are basically new. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. I have noticed that in this area if you don’t automatically speak Spanish the service is not as good, that is not the case here. Everyone is welcoming and if you don’t speak Spanish that’s not a problem at all. As soon as I sat down I was offered something to drink. Marge did my nails and she took her time and was very meticulous. She did a great job. If there is something particular you like about your nails you can just let her know and she’ll do it. Will definitely come back!

I love this place! Came in on a whim after seeing that they just opened. The place is extremely clean and neat and the décor is very glam which I love. All the ladies are very friendly and very welcoming. My mani and pedi looked amazing and I will def be back next week .

Stopped by here on a whim. The place is cute and clean. I was offered water, wine, coffee or tea– which was lovely on a hot day. Loved my pedicure and my manicure was ok. The person doing my nails was friendly but she didn’t do the best job in painting my nails, but it was late so maybe it was that. I was there for too long, I walked in at 630 and left at 9– that’s too slow for what I’m used to.
I’ll be back for sure!

Really awesome service and great prices! I came in with at boyfriend and we were both treated with the utmost respect and warmth. Free wine too! Whenever I’ve taken him in for a pedicure with me he’ll get scolded for not maintaining his nails and they’ll rush to finish quickly. The lady who did his hands and feet, a shorter woman with short copper hair took such great care of him and made him feel great. My girl was super friendly and did an awesome job despite my shitty nail biting habits. New favorite place!

Its so pleasant to walk into an establishment where you are valued as a costumer. There are thousands of nails salons in queens but this place makes the all the difference with their customer service, spa like atmosphere and courteous nail techs. Please keep it up!
