History

Established in 1991.

I began Chaya Spector Bookkeeping and Consulting Services at a time in my life when I needed flexability to take care of an aging father.

What I found is that working for myself gave me pleasure and a sense of completion that I did not have working in a larger environment. In the past, prior to 1991 I was both Operational Manager and then Controller for a few small business while living in the Bay Area. Although I have the skills for both those positions I have found that I enjoy (and am good at!) working more one on one with small businesses. I offer complete bookeeping services as well as training services.

Business Owner

Chaya has been doing bookkeeping and small business consulting for over 35 years. She has had her practice since 1991. Having lived in Ithaca NY in the 70’s she moved out to California where she lived for 28 years before returning «home» to Ithaca in 2009. She is still working virtually with many of her clients from the Bay Area as well as with clients in NYC.

Working Virtually has been a great asset to her business and has allowed her to keep intact business relationships that have existed for close to 20 years.
