I tried for years to skimp on sport coats and suits. Then I found Benjamin Peters. The quality is the best. The clothes last forever. Well worth the price. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Nothing but good experiences here for 15 years now.

I do not give five stars very often because they need to be kept for special occasions. Benjamin peters gets those five stars for me. It is the one place in Ithaca that men can find stylish clothes and that anyone can have assistance if needed. It is my place for a signature go to shirt for any age man in my life. My husband, my father-​in-​law, my cornell intern all have received a «out on the town» shirt. I even saw my husbands Benjamin Peter slim fit paisley button-​down shirt on one of the guys in the hangover movie! My husband also got an awesome linen cream colored suit for a wedding which could not be found elsewhere. Another thing to check out is there year-​round clearance section for men’s clothes and shoes for men and women. I stop in every time I’m on the Commons because someone always need a gift. I think that clearance section is a little known fact for downtown. I need to mention the shoes before I’m done-​They are the only selection for high end, comfy shoes for both men and women in the downtown area. It’s the place where I can get my office shoes and my summer sexy but my feet don’t hurt sandals. All said, you will feel special when you’re there and cool later sporting you’re not from the Bön Ton clothing.

Best men’s clothing store this side of NYC. Every article of clothing I have purchased there (many) has worn well, and has been of the highest quality.

I tried to return a pair of pants they sold me that had basically disintegrated after being worn very few times. They refused to refund my money. And they blamed it on me, rudely telling me that it was my fault. I’ll never go back.

They measured me and my party incorrectly then it was like pulling teeth to have them correct it. They charged me for a suit I couldn’t wear and insulted me when I complained about it. We try to keep our business local but they aren’t worth the hassle or insults. I was completely miss handled and will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
