If you don’t have a resume, I will compose one for you. We can meet, and talk through your job experience, bringing up the important points and finding the right phrasing to emphasize how you can bring value to a potential employer.
If you have an existing resume, I can review it and rewrite it. By identifying the common mistakes many people make, we can make your resume more effective in helping you find that ideal job. If your resume is perfectly fine as it is, I will honestly tell you as much, at no charge.
Will set up your Resume on Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, USA Jobs.gov, etc, along with a generic cover letter. Will provide you with the password and offer basic tutorials how to navigate the website.

Established in 2010.
For years, I have been helping friends, co-workers and people they know with their resumes. Also, as someone who has been a supervisor, I have seen many resumes come across my desk, and I quickly developed a good understanding of which formats work and which ones don’t. More importantly, I’ve seen a lot of the mistakes people commonly make in composing their resumes.
The thing is, most people don’t really develop a skill for writing resumes Why should they? It’s something you might need once every five years if things are going well.
About two years ago, a good friend of mine asked me to help her with her resume. I realized that I couldn’t essentially change the whole thing without hurting her feelings, so I took the time to explain each and every change I made. In the process, I realized that I can use what I have learned over the years to help people in this tough economy.

Competitive Edge Resume Service was started by me, Joseph B, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. After College, I served active duty Army for six years, leaving at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Since then, I have spent the last 18 years working in Logistics management. I have worked in both manufacturing and distribution environments, and know the Chicago Labor Market well.
