Established in 2008.

Bob the owner has been a proprietor of mattresses and furniture for over 40 years. Formerly we were The 4 Day Mattress Store, now we’re The Six Day Mattress Store to better represent how many days a week we are open.

Bob Schwartz, also known as «Bald Bob,» has been running this and other family-​owned companies for the past 20 years. For years, Bob and family have been providing the East-​Side community with premium quality mattresses at discount prices.

We buy locally as much as we can. We believe in floating the local economy. Bob has lived in Washington for 30+ years.

Bald Bob owns both 6 Day Mattress Stores’ in the state of Washington and is in fact very, very bald. He owned ‘Bald Bob’s Mattress and Futon Outlet’ in Monroe, WA for 12+ years and has been running furniture stores since 1973.

Kudos to Ann in the Issaquah store! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Very kind and patient with our tots, had stickers already in hand when we walked in. Went there first, no others stores compared, and we went there last to make our purchase! She even sent us away with coupons for us to get new bedding — THAT’S going the extra mile!

We had a great experience shopping for a new mattress at 6 Day. Ann was very helpful and didn’t pressure us in any way to make a purchase. She just wanted to make sure we picked the mattress that was right for us and how we sleep. We visited the store twice before making our purchase. Both times Ann was there to help us and guide us. I would definitely recommend shopping here for a mattress. It’s a big purchase and we both felt that we ended up with the mattress that worked for us.

We love our new latex mattress, we loved buying it from 6-​day thanks to the great help from Ann. We’ll be back, but probably not for awhile. Did I mention we love our new bed?

Disclaimer: The store gave a $ 100 credit as an advanced thank you of sorts for writing a Unilocal review. So there is no strict obligation to write, I suppose, but I felt it was the right thing to do, plus the store is great!
I didn’t know much about 6-​Day Mattress. Their storefront in Issaquah is under-​stated. Online searches point you mostly to Mattress Depot (good search ad strategy, guys) and Mattress Discounters. So how did I end up at the store? Because their competition named them. :)
The Mattress Discounters (Issaquah) sales associates, at our second visit, probed whom else we were talking to, esp. as we were struggling to find a 100% latex mattress. MD was pushing memory foam or a composite latex+foam mattress, usual good brands, plus accessories (adjustable bed). Very professional, but definitely «looking for a yes.» MD threw out: «so are you talking to Ann over at 6-​Day Mattress?» So I figured, huh, I guess we should. (There’s a sales lesson in here somewhere.)
Ann is a delightful «product-​nerd,» people who are so passionate about what they’re selling and whom they’re selling to, that sales is a «natural» act of «consultation» for them. Ann didn’t push things on us that we said we weren’t looking for; recognized what we weren’t price sensitive to vs. what we were; was not condescending to the idea of budget (they do not give discounts at all — something she stood firm on w/​o being offensive); and so honed-​in on what our core need was: addressing back and shoulder ache, and finding a firm yet somewhat conformable mattress. (Again, there’s a sales lesson here.) We went back twice, and had same experience each time, no degradation in politeness or approach. And she was super generous about our kids being in store as well. Delivery was on time, polite and efficient.
As for the mattresses themselves, full latex does tend to be firm (and pricey). But 6-​Day Mattress has a wide variety of comfort levels in latex. Do check the store out. And they do have variety of less pricey but high quality items as well.

I visited this store several times because it is in my neighborhood. The staff is very knowledgeable and let me take my time checking out all the beds. I probably spent an hour in the store each visit and the manager made sure I had a pillow and took my time to make the right choice. They have so many mattresses to chose from. I was sold on the Talalay Latex mattress right from the start, so that was the only mattress I was really considering. It was a toss between the Beautiful or the Worlds Best Latex mattress. I bought the Worlds Best I love it! I noticed a just don’t need to change position as often during the night and get a better night sleep.
A mattress is a major purchase in ones life, I would shop here again because of the staff and the quality and large selection of their mattresses and other bedding products.

If the big chain stores drive you nuts, this place is for you! The store manager is knowledgable and patient. She really wants you to take your time and find the right mattress for you. They also carry really nice options, including Talalay Latex — which if you haven’t tried these beds you MUST visit this store.
