I have had the great opportunity to work with the owner and SLP, Amy S. and her colleagues, closely over the last year. She is dynamic and has taken good care of the children that I’ve referred to her professionally. I appreciate her willingness to talk over cases and her vast knowledge with kids that have speech abnormalities. Her colleagues are also amazing as well and my families love the care that they receive at Susan Cohn and Associates!

Best place for kiddo speech therapy in Issaquah. Hands down. The therapists themselves are fantastic, and the owner is AMAZING. It’s always good to find therapists that are a good fit, but to come across that AND an owner that so clearly loves each and every little one that comes through her door is a pretty unusual thing. My two boys have both received speech therapy at Susan Cohn & Associates over the course of two years. I can say, without a doubt, the practice, the administration and the therapists have been amazing. They have met the needs of my kids, been flexible in dealing with a very busy schedule and most important they have cared about my children and their progress. We saw tremendous progress in both boys and watched their confidence grow. I highly suggest Amy and her team!

My two children, ages 3 and 5, started speech therapy about 6 months ago and I am happy to report they just finished their last session a few weeks ago. Both of my children were in therapy for different reasons, but both completed faster and better than I had expected. Amy Smith was our therapist and she was EXCEPTIONAL! I really can’t say enough positive things about her. By having kids of her own, she knew exactly how to relate. My kids had an instant connection with her, as did my husband and I. The kids were genuinely excited to come to «speech school» each week. She made learning fun and that’s what great teachers (therapists) do! She incorporated learning with play, which I’ve always been a big proponent of. With hard work, both kids made incredible strides and I couldn’t be more thankful for Amy’s guidance, techniques, and individual lesson plans.
I love the philosophy at Susan Cohn & Associates. They make learning fun, exciting, and new. Amy Svensson, the owner, knows all the kids who come in. All of the therapists are incredible and their dedication to what they do is just amazing. My husband and I are going to miss everyone in the office, but especially both of the Amy’s. I have worked with Amy with the recent redesign of her office space and the one thing that comes to mind is her focus on patient safety, satisfaction and her desire to have her clients have a pleasant and productive experience while getting the care they need. My son started at Susan Cohn & Assoc. when he was almost 3 with almost no words or sounds, he is now 6+ and we can’t keep him quiet. He has been seeing Sarah O. for 2 years and I couldn’t be happier with his progress. We’ve seen Amy Smith, Danielle, and Toddie, they all are a great group of people who truly care and are passionate about their profession. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My 4 year old son has been seeing Amy for over a year for speech therapy primarily caused by his sensory processing disorder. My son went from not having eye contact, inability to express his needs to a four year old who is learning his prepositions! We are very fortunate to be working with Amy Svensson directly. She is not just an therapist, she’s an educator, a mother and a valuable asset to the community. Learning is so much more than teaching, it’s relationship building with special needs kids like my son. Amy has a natural ability to connect with him. I highly recommend Amy and her team!

My 3 year old son has a pretty significant speech delay. Thank god we found Sarah Oarbeascoa and Amy Svensson at Susan Cohn & Associates. He has been attending twice weekly sessions since September and his speech is so improved! I can actually communicate verbally with him, which is something I couldn’t do before seeing them. We had such success I brought my 8 year old in to be evaluated for some articulation issues. He has been attending twice weekly sessions since January and his improvement is through the roof. If you are concerned at all about your child’s speech, please do yourself a favor and call Amy. You will be happy you did. I know we are.

There are wonderful, caring speech therapists here that will give your child the individualized therapy he/​she needs. When we first started bringing our son here he was 2 ½ and he could only say around 5 words. In the past 6 months since he has been seeing Amy Smith and Amy Svensson he is now talking in sentences and has made amazing progress. I cant say enough good things about them!
