Soma Intimates

Happily, my experience at this Soma store was quite different than the other reviewer.
I have many purchases from Soma and have liked the quality and fit of these items.
On this particular excursion, I took my elderly (90 year old) mother to the store to find a robe, not sure that we would find anything to suit her. The sales person (Jordan) was so very helpful, not at all condescending and very patient. She was able to listen to my mother’s needs and concerns and find exactly the right robe.
Having had many many dismissive and uncomfortable interactions shopping with my mother in other stores, I have come to appreciate sales people and wait staff that appropriately interact with elderly people.
And while there, of course, spotted several items that I will be purchasing for myself on a return trip. This store was nicely arranged and had a great selection. I will definitely ask to be helped by Jordan on future visits.

I had a hard time reviewing this store because I like the products, but the salesperson was so abrasive. I live in this area so I wish I could comfortably go here all the time since the location is convenient. There is a woman who works at this Issaquah location who is INCREDIBLY pushy. I’ve gone in here a few times and when she is there, I just want to run away. Two of my friends had the same experience. She wouldn’t leave me alone so I could browse in peace. She kept telling me I needed to be measured when (at 41 years) I know my bra measurements. I’ve been measured at other Soma locations, as well as at Nordstrom! She also barged into my dressing room without knocking, bringing me other things I didn’t want and hadn’t asked for. She walked into the dressing room of my friend while she was undressed, and didn’t even apologize. The biggest issue I had is that she treated me as if I don’t know anything, and she needed to educate me. It was very condescending, and I couldn’t wait to leave. When I left the dressing room and she asked, «How did you do?» and I told her politely that I would «think about it», she looked at me like I was crazy. Its so uncomfortable being in there that every time I think of going, I head to the Bellevue Mall Soma store instead. Sad!
