History

Established in 1995.

While growing up I worked part time renovating lawns, personally servicing thousands of lawns. Though I did not yet have a degree in turf science or agronomy, I was able to learn a great magnitude of knowledge through my experience.

As I expanded the business, «GoldenRule Lawn Solutions» seemed to fit perfectly with my ideals for the company. I come from a family where ethics and integrity were taught from the start, and treating others with respect no matter their differences was always expected. At «GoldenRule,» this is the standard for how we treat our clients and their lawns.

While in college, I was able to grow the business from simply myself to crews working all over the Puget Sound Region. I studied Business Finance and Turf Science, giving me both a greater knowledge of how I wanted to expand, and the power to improve each lawns final outcome.

Meet the Business Owner

Scott Y.

Business Owner

Currently I live in Issaquah, WA with my wonderful wife Aubrey. We love spending time with our sons, Ben and Jake. We enjoy playing sports together, hiking, skiing, exercising, playing ping pong, and working on home projects together.

I grew up in the Issaquah, where I attended Issaquah High. After a service mission to Australia, I went on to get my Bachelors Degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Turf Science.

In the community, I enjoy being involved with the Boy Scouts of America, and currently serve with a Varsity Crew (14 – 16 year olds).

One of my favorite accomplishments was summiting Mt. Rainier with my dad and brother. Growing up my dad would often say «go to the top of the mountain,» meaning to do your best and finish hard things. After reaching the peak, I can say I have been to the top of the mountain, and I know it takes hard work and perseverance to get there in all aspects of life.
