After having a kidney stone procedure done by Dr. Plaskon at Overlake Hospital I was told I’d need a 2 week follow up appointment and to bring a sample in. After leaving THREE voice messages and calling numerous times to set up an appointment no one bothered to call me back. Even if I didn’t leave 3 messages you think they’d follow up with their patient after surgery. Feeling angry, I stopped in and let the front desk people know I’d left messages, left my sample and asked them to give me the results to let me know what was causing my kidney stones since we were losing insurance in 3 weeks due to a layoff. They did NOT apologize, but said they’d send results. It’s been weeks, insurance is gone and I’ve still not heard a WORD! I would not advise going to this clinic at all if you’re wanting anyone professional to tend to you. I’ve never left an online review before, but felt I’d be doing a disservice if I did not let others know. I wish I’d gone somewhere else.

Well they are a wonderful group of doctors, but I don’t think they realize how terrible their veiws of patient communication are. Don’t plan on counting on them for urgent care because they won’t answer your phone calls or return your voicemails for 3 days later, if your lucky. I don’t think the patient portal they provide for communication works either. They obviously don’t want me as a patient, is how I feel.

For women who appreciate a spa-​like, soothing ambience and an all-​women practice, this is the place for you! Everyone is friendly, professional, and discreet. My provider is great at rendering appropriate care, and treats me respectfully and with dignity.
The major downside involves the phone system and their website. It appears as though glitches exist, as attempts to contact the office are hit or miss and attempts at signing up for the patient portal have been futile.

I was referred to Athena Women’s Health 6 months ago for Uterine prolapse. Dr. Lacombe is a very detail oriented person and likes you to make several gazillion office visits therefore would start from bladder moving upward extremely slow, making it more profitable for the business but not fun for you. My main concern was uterine prolapse. I wish I could have had a greater experience there. Dr. and crew members are wonderful. Just too many visits for useless reasons made me quit going there.

I was referred to Athena Women’s Health 6 months ago for Urge incontinence. The staff is very professional and helpful. I’ve had 2 procedures in the office and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr. Lacombe is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I highly recommend Athena.

Unable to even reach the front desk to schedule an appointment. We have called 8 – 9 times in the last month and even left 4 voice mails. We are yet to receive a call back from the front desk. It seems that this group does not want new patients or that the phone system is broken.

I wish I could have had a good experience there. I loved my doctor but the logistics of billing and surgery scheduling made my experience a giant nightmare. When I went for my first appointment I was strongly urged to sign up for their automated ‘patient portal’ which is supposed to allow you to view your own med records and billing info. After a few pre-​op appointments I started getting calls from a robot telling me to log in the system for info on an billing thing. I tried, and it didn’t work so I called them to explain that I was getting several calls a week from a robot and I couldn’t log in and would like to NOT use this fancy, new, and completely useless system. The very nice woman on the phone looked into my account and agreed there were huge problems with the system and I would be getting old fashion paper bills from then forward.
Fast forward a couple of months, post surgery. Ive been into see the Dr a few times and everyone on the clinic is so nice. I still had not received a bill, made of paper.
The week before Xmas I get a call that I have to pay my bill now or I’m being sent to collections. Problem is, I had not received a bill.
This story has as many twists and turns as your female parts, so I’ll spare you. Bottom line: The doctors are super nice but behind the scenes, the clinic is run in a very unprofessional and amateur manner. I would never ever go back based on this. Beware.

This is a all woman urology office. I was referred to them by my OBGYN, and let me tell you this place is stand up and applaud for customer service! All the woman who work here are super friendly and so very kind! Had a few issues but they got them resolved like champs and with no stress at all! Wonderful staff! Now, Dr. Mia Swartz, this woman is a god sent! She was just the doctor I needed at the very right time! I wish I had her back in 2009! She is truly amazing at her job! She will sit down and explain everything and make sure all your concerns and questions are addressed and answered. Doctors like this are hard to come by! She explains things so easily and well thought out to understand. She is brilliant! Highly recommend this doctor!
