Joyce Tips Nail & Spa

I go here every two weeks to get my eyebrows waxed by Coco. My eyebrows grow in naturally a little weird one is curved and the other kind of V shaped. I have been to a lot of salons that could clean them up but Coco was the only one who could get them to match perfectly. I tip her more then the cost of the waxing because her attention to detail is priceless. I would definitely recommend her.

I’ve been here twice. I don’t think it’s a very professional location. They’re not very friendly, which isn’t a huge deal. However, the woman who did my nails two weeks ago had me keep my hands in the uv light for far too long. My cuticles actually burned when I took them out. Since then, the skin around my nails has peeled. It bothered me because I did tell the nail technician that my hands were burned, but she still insisted that I needed to keep them under the light for at least 10 minutes. It was really awful. She did the same for my friend, too. My friends skin has not peeled. I don’t think I would go back. There are better selections and service available elsewhere.

My girlfriend and I went for a mani/​pedi and pedi/​fill in. We didn’t get to sit together for the pedicure and the woman who did my fill in (tenny) rushed through the whole thing. She didn’t smile or even bother to ask me what I wanted. After I told her, she just snatched the colors from me and put them on. I got gel on my nails and needed a color to match for the pedicure and when I asked them if they had one, I got told I had to go find one myself and she couldn’t do it. Then, I got a half-​assed pedicure (maybe 10 minutes or so 15 tops) and after tipping, they asked «what about the other girl «who we had already tipped and seemed unhappy about the amount we tipped which would have been significantly more if they would have bothered to be nice and not rush us out of their chairs. My nails came out good but the experience was anything but relaxing.

I went on a Wednesday, not busy !!! The girl that did my nails worked like she didn’t know how to do a pedicure, I couldn’t even relax cause I was telling her how to do her jobs, omg first time here and I’m never ever ever coming back !! Omg

Joyce and Ricky are absolute miracle workers! Joyce has been doing my nails for over 5 years now, and i will not let anyone other than the two of them touch my fingers! I hate to say it, but I’ve been known to be super picky, and a bit of a nail snob, and when i found them i fell in love! The amount of time, effort and perfection they put into their craft is incredible! I also have a couple crooked fingers, that they manage to shape the nails to so you cant notice at all! they truly are not only great at what they do, but are also wonderful people.
The pedicures there are also amazing as well! whether i am in a rush, and get a basic pedi, or a fabulous spa pedicure, you never feel rushed and are always pampered. In the Islip Terrace salon (as they also have one in patchogue, and i go to both and as i said i can be super picky), Harrison is amazing, and gives the best leg and foot massages, so request him!
Yes sometimes you may have to wait, but all good things in life are worth the wait! Make sure you check them out, you wont be disappointed!

If you come on a weekend during prime time hours expect to wait. Just waited 45 minutes for a manicure. Ran out of time and had to leave without my nails done. Typically short staffed. However when you do finally get in a chair they do great work.

This is a new location for this salon which also has a location in Patchogue, which I have visited many times. This one is near my office so I gave it a shot.
The salon was modern and clean. I was able to get an appointment easily and Joyce, the owner, did a great job on my fill in. There are not many good nail salons in this area, I would recommend checking them out.
