History

Established in 2015.

The business started 5 years ago as «The Lost Lobster» The original owner ran away and got married and a guy name «Rick» took over for a few years. March of 2015 he decided to retire & spend more time with the family, That’s were I came in. The Maine Lobster Rolls were a big seller & Sooo Good so I kept them. Have added a few more home made items, Cuban Sandwiches w Home made Black Beans & Rice. Great burgers and my Sinful Meatloaf Sandwiches. Have a extensive coffee menu with Café Cubano, Cappuccino, Latte & Espresso.

I’ve been in The Keys more than ½ of my life. Won’t tell ya how many because it will give away my age :) Avid fisherman & active in preserving the beauty & character of these beautiful Islands. Still believe there is hope for humanity & given the chance people want and try to do the right thing.

Quiet very personal, type of spot where the owners the one serving you cause no one else can do it as right. Lobster roll was by far worth the drive down and didn’t have to go all the way to key west for it.

I loved this little Mom and Pop place! The relaxed atmosphere is welcoming and pinturesque. I highly recommend their lobster Roll, it has about 3 pounds of Lobster! I ate the roll with their Fresh Squeezed lemonade. The Owner was very sweet and funny! Loved it!

We had the lobster roll and the Cuban sandwich. The pasta salad with the lobster roll was delicious! The whole meal did not disappoint in the least and it was reasonably priced. The owner was working the counter and very very friendly. The food spot is on the side of a little group of shops that were fun to walk through too which was a bonus.

My boyfriend and me stopped here while on our way to the keys for a quick snack and honestly i didnt think i was gonna find such a cute little place! Owner is so nice, coffee is delicious and the ambiance is beautiful. I loved this little hidden place!

My husband and I visited this spot last month on a visit to the keys. We were searching the area for a decent cup of coffee one morning and saw Kate’s sign for Cuban coffee. We were not disappointed. We ended up getting a couple of breakfast sandwiches and enjoyed this little shopping area. Behind the store are other independent vendors with nice selection of gifts and food.

A must stop in the Florida Keys! My husband and I stopped at the Lobster Shack for a quick bite while driving down the Keys. I’m a very picky eater so I just ordered a salad. My husband ordered the lobster roll and I decided to try a bite. It was so amazing that I took over the sandwich and he had to order another one. In fact, we made a special trip back to the Lobster Shack during our vacation just to have another lobster roll. The second trip we also had the Cuban coffee and Key Lime pie. It was the best coffee I have ever had and we even took an extra piece of Key Lime pie with us. I enjoyed walking through the other shops with my Cuban coffee and just taking a break and enjoying the island life. The only thing disappointing is that we did not discover this place earlier in our vacation!

Look for the giant lobster out front and walk on back to the Lobster Shack! The lobster roll was delicious and paired with home made pasta salad. We initially came back for the Cuban coffee, but thought we’d give the lobster roll a try. Delicious!!! If you don’t stop here, you’ll be missing out. We’ve stopped at various places for lobster roll, but the Lobster Shack has the best. We’ll be back.

I love this place! Every time I make my way to the Keys, I make sure to stop in for lunch. My favorite is the mahi sandwich and the pasta salad, it is always fresh and delicious! Katie is awesome. She always recommends different things to do while I am down there. This is my go to place for lunch when I am island hopping!

The lobster roll was really good and the lobster itself was really fresh and sweet! Not a big fan of pasta salad but theirs was on point! Key lime pie has an excellent creamy, sweet tartness to it, that makes it absolutely awesome! They are a bit pricey but make up for it in flavor and service!
What makes this place stand apart from other food places is their customer service! They were very engaging and friendly. When the found out it was my wifes birthday they brought her out a piece of key lime pie and made excellent suggestions of local spots to hit up that evening!
