This place is great and the locals know it! Not just for Cuban food, the seafood is excellent! And, for celiac sufferers there’s grouper Caesar salad. Will definitely be coming back!!!

As close to Cuban food as you will find south of Miami. The fish selection is limited but always fresh. The sides are all great. Try the rice and beans with tostones or maduros for an authentic Cuban experience.

A great(no so secret) spot on Lower Matecumbe. With a diverse menu, great staff, and awesome food. Enjoyed probably the best vaca-frita I’ve ever had. And in the keys, you won’t find a better value.

Great authentic Cuban food. The seafood pizza, «Friday-night Picadillo»(ground beef) is to die for. Also the shrimp creole and grilled chicken steak is outstanding!

I have never ate pork like I ate here. It was fantastic. It pulled apart with little to no effort and it melted in your mouth. Completely recommend! The staff was very attentive and the appetizers came out very fast. But I wish I hadn’t gotten an app so I could’ve eaten more of my pork! So amazing.

Been eating up and down the Keys for the past week. Best value we’ve found. Terrific food(Cuban wrap was great). Nice setting by a marina. Language was a bit of a barrier with the staff but didn’t deter me from giving 5 stars. Only a couple of outdoor tables but we needed a respite from the sun anyway. L

«Best food in the Keys«!! If you like Cuban food, look no further, drive to the restaurant is beautiful, the scenery is relaxing, great restaurant in Islamorada, excellent selection of seafood and authentic Cuban dishes, excitement food like it’s passionate people. Cuban cuisine is a blend of native American, with some Caribbean influence in spice and flavor, this results in a unique, interesting and flavorful, one of the main influences on the cuisine is from Spain, another important factor is the Cuba itself is an island, making seafood something that greatly influences Cuban dishes. I always enjoy a delicious meal here, love the food, what a surprise at the end of the walk through the restaurant is a little beach to Wach the sunset. They offer home ice cream, the staff always friendly and efficient, excellent job;) !! Thank you;)!! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to get a taste of old Cuba.

Delicious! After a number of overpriced and mediocre dining experiences around town, we found a winner. Very flavorful food! Everything from the fish to shredded steak to pizza to surprisingly tasty veggie stir fry, not to mention plantains, conch chowder, conch fritters and rice. Added bonus is that I didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg on it. Even the chocolate shake and were very good.

Pros: Incredible value, lots of seating(some of it waterfront), huge and tasty Cuban sammy, top-notch Cuban coffee and a big pitcher of domestic beer for $ 10. Cons: The men’s room was disgustingly filthy, the servers like to chit-chat among themselves vs. actually working and it can be tough to get back on the southbound Overseas Hwy. when you leave. Although lacking enough pickles, mustard and/or mayo, the Cuban Sandwich is an incredible bargain at $ 7.95. Good luck eating the entire thing. The fried plantains($ 3.50) were also abundant and well prepared. With The Marlin closing their doors in Key Largo, this place will pick up more business. Hope they can handle it.

A very authentic Cuban restaurant Best cook your catch spot in the keys. The chef is very talented up to date in creole Cuban seasoning. Has the best trio for hook and cook beer batter, blackened and grilled combo. It is the best. Coldest jingling on tap

My husband is Cuban and his parents make the BEST Cuban food I have ever had, so with that said, I’m not a huge fan of this restaurant. I guess it’s okay if you haven’t ever had Cuban food before. I was disappointed because they didn’t have my first choice and they didn’t have my husband’s first choice either. I changed my order to a grilled chicken dish and the chicken was very chewy, I couldn’t eat it! I won’t go back.

Oh my goodness this place is amazing the marinated flank steak black beans and rice were fantastic! This little Cuban place is wonderful, the best Cuban coffee, I mean the best. Very reasonably priced, staff are friendly and attentive. It’s on the waterfront and we make a point to stop here when we come down to Ialmorada to vist family. They will even cook your fresh catch. Have not had a bad meal here and the place has always been, not a fancy place just great Cuban food.
