The Blue Goose on Main caters to coffee lovers and bike enthusiast. We offer coffee by the bag from some of the best roasters in the state, including Jittery Joes, Grassroots and PERC.

For bike enthusiast we offer two bunk rooms, a common kitchen and outdoor grillin’ and chillin’ space.

The Blue Goose is also a venue for events. If you are looking for a funky place with charm and a laid back approach to everything from cooperate events to wedding… we’re it!

History

Established in 2012.

The Blue Goose on Main is located in a circa 1847 home that we have converted into a coffee shoppe, bike hostel, and event venue. With just under 3200 square feet of living space and 2 or so acres of gardens, there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We are located at 128 East Main Street in Irwinton, GA, which is about 20 minutes from Dublin, Milledgeville, and Macon, and 2 or so hours from Atlanta.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Donna Asbell and Lynn Leaphart own the Blue Goose on Main.

Donna graduated from Mercer University in 1986. Lynn graduated from Mercer’s medical school in 1990 and practices in Savannah. Both partners were looking for something new in their careers and set out to create a new type of business.

They first opened the Blue Goose on Osborne in Saint Marys, GA in the fall of 2011. It’s a wine and coffee shop right near the waterfront. Their second location the Blue Goose on Main followed a year later.

The mission of both business is to «fill a need in the community and create and environment for staff to grow».

We tell our staff, «we made the place, you make the experience».
