my best advice to anyone out there is to stay away from this TruConArtists or should I say TruLiars!!!

I have been using trugreen for several months. My service man, Mike B does a great job and always answers all my questions. My lawn is now one of the best in the neighborhood.

These guys are great at selling and sending out bills. As far as maintaining the lawn to look like the picture they show you when they sell you the service, they can’t deliver even if they wanted to. The salesman came to our door showed us a picture of what our lawn will look like if we hire them and we went for it. Never saw the salesman again but saw many different trucks come up and try to make our lawn better but it ended up looking worse then we first hired them. Very disorganized. Different guy almost every service period. Trying various things at $ 49 each visit. A real hard closing sales organization that can’t deliver the product the matter how hard they try,
And they will try time after time and charge for each failed attempt.

Horrible service. I tried getting them to honor their «guarantee of a healthy lawn» when my lawn was 2/​3rds dead after a year of service and they wouldn’t do anything about it, so i cancelled service, yet they kept coming and charged me ridiculous amounts of money for it. My account is now in collections and I called today to at least get them to honor their guarantee if im going to pay them, and they refused.

Zero stars. Scam company. I made the mistake of signing up with this company. I wanted to sign up for only one year without the option to renew. I read the fine prints and noted the one year renewal. I told the salesman that I don’t want to renew in one year. He told me don’t mark the box and insisted I give him my visa card instead of a check! WARNING SIGN!!!
I put a big NO next to the box one year renewal box. I got the contract that night showing I will automatically renew next year. I was lucky to read all the negative comments about this scam company. I immediately called next day and tried to cancel. I was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes, and was able to cancel and was given a confirmation number. I noticed today, 2 days after the transaction that they billed me anyways.
I called Visa and instructed Visa to cancel the payment. I have a feeling the story is not over yet.
Lesson learned: Never sign contracts with salesman who knock on your door.

Zero stars should be an option. Completely incompetent Sh@tshow. The root of the problem begins with Alex the salesman through to the managers – who are completely incompetent at best and total Forest Gumps at worst. Called three times to set up initial appointment… supposedly technicians father died. Through ten more calls and the scheduling, rescheduling, scheduling, rescheduling (on their end) of the appointment (i.e. be prepared to do all of the work yourself to get a technician to possibly come to your house), water the lawn obsessively in preparation (though they do not tell you this the first time), have you or your lawn service cut the grass that week to an inch tall, ultimately, they don’t show up and cancel out the account without calling to tell you that they have decided not to work on your lawn. Stay away at all costs unless you want to be duped, hosed and practice your speaking skills with incompetent customer service reps, managers and salespeople.

I want to say good things about TruGreen, because the associates, on the whole have been decent. But I was pretty upset when they got my bill wrong. When I cancelled, they said I was all paid up. Later we get a bill, so I think it’s a mistake. Within months I get a letter from a collection agency. Now this makes me mad because I have excellent credit. When I call, it seems that it’s a «collections group» within the company. It’s good because my credit is not effected. It’s bad because I don’t like to be scared into paying for something I thought was all taken care of. We ultimately canceled earlier, not because of their technicians who were fine, but because I was not sure about all the chemicals. I am no expert in «most environmental ways to care for your lawn,» but I’ve researched enough to know some of what they use may not be so environmentally friendly. I just didn’t want to take a chance.

Was having problems with the grass in my backyard being torn up by something for some reason. Called this company to see if I could have them come out and diagnose the problem. Was told they don’t send people out unless you buy one of their service plans first. The person on the phone then went on to explain every service plan they have, which did me no good. How am I suppose to purchase a plan when I don’t even know what’s happening or why it’s happening.

Worst customer service ever. Dont ever use this company. They do nothing they promise and dont show up when they promise to do so. Save your money!

I called them after seeing their commercial. My yard was looking pretty horrible and I figured maybe they could bring it back to life. My gardener at the time is one of those that cuts, cleans and leaves. they could care less how the grass looks. So I gave trugreen a call and had them come out. Their sales guy said that they can make my lawn the best on the block. It was already may when I had called them so I was only obligated for 7 months to use the service so I figured what the hell, its worth a try.
I’ll tell you what, my yard looked worse after the 7 months then it did before I hired them. I dont know what their process was other then to fertilize the shit out of my lawn every other month. I had set the sprinkers to the schedule they suggested and that didnt help. It was a waste of money.
Be warned, they will automatically renew your subscription at the end of the year unless you call them to cancel. I cancelled their ass as close to the end of the year as possible. When I called to cancel the guy on the phone said «we recommend you do a full year of treatments to see the benefit». Yeah, sure. your sales rep never said that so this was obviously an attempt to trick me into renewing. You gotta get up really early in the morning to trick me.

Don’t even think about using these people. Not only do they do sloppy work but they are rude and impossible to deal with. I paid them on line for my January service and they applied the payment to another account. After badgering me and my bank for 10 days, they finally found their error but did not call to tell me nor did they call to apologize.
They never came when they promised and when they did show up, I had to make sure that they did what they promised.
I have ended my service with them after this last incident.
