Brrzaar

Located right next to the train station, they have become my morning go-​to spot for iced coffee or a latte. The pastries are delicious and the people there are great. It’s definitely best addition to Irvington in quite some time.

Love everything about this place it is so unique from the design of the outside and interior not to mention the treats are to die for!

Interesting yogurt flavored. So far I’ve had the caramel and the coffee and both were very good. Only mix-​in I’ve had was the caramel popcorn but they should stock caramel syrup too. The coffee is really good, both the hot and the iced. Nice addition to the neighborhood and to a building that has been vacant for far too long. Nicely decorated inside and very clean.

Great place — strategically located near the train station. Owners put a tremendous amount of thought into the décor and products they are selling. Yogurt is top notch as are the baked goods and coffee. Run don’t walk to to Brrzaar!

Yogurt was in general very good. Green tea flavor wasn’t quite sweet enough for me. Pomogranate was good, as was sea salt caramel. Toppings were really good, especially cookie dough balls. Would have like to see mochi. The thing that my wife and I didn’t appreciate was the prices. $ 18 for two cups of yogurt???

I was visiting college friends in Irvington, and they were driving me back to the MetroNorth station. One of them mentioned Bzzaar, always seeing it near the train platform when commuting to work, but never entering. After getting some dessert, she was so thrilled that she (and we) had gone, but was kicking herself for not going sooner!
Let’s be honest: NYC is pretty saturated with self-​serve froyo places. I’d trade ‘em all in just to have Bzzaar down there. The people of Irvington are indeed lucky to have this place! The selection of froyo is relatively small, with only 8 flavors, but many were unique and could satisfy most noshers; all were organic and three were vegan. The toppings bar included fresh fruits, sweeter options, and all were denoted if they were gluten-​free, vegan, et al. I opted for the vanilla and blueberry pie froyos, along with fresh cherries, strawberries, blueberries, and sprinkles. I regret not getting the lemon curd to top it all off; I didn’t see it until I sat down! Haha. My friends and the beau got more decadent chocolaty selections, and all were utterly content with them.
My mere complaint, which is part of my own neuroses? The wooden spoons may be more environmentally friendly, but the wood used in those spoons (similar to your average coffee stirrer you’d see at Starbucks or any other café) is a texture I despise! The texture of that wood on my mouth is equivocal to nails on a chalkboard for some people. I got goosebumps eating it, and it wasn’t because the froyo was cold! I had to laugh at my own quirk, and soon, the froyo coated the spoon, masking that texture I hate. (Oh. Allison. You are a little strange, girl. Ha!)
The bottom line is that Brrzaar is a step above many self-​serve froyo spots, and the beau and I joked about just aking the train from Marble Hill up to Irvington and back for dessert one day. (And by «joking», with MetroNorth tickets only being $ 3.75 each way, there actually may be some truth to that… haha…)

Hopefully the machines are calibrated properly, it was pretty icy last time I went but toppings were awesome!

Finally tried this new frozen yogurt place. The setting is really lovely – simple and fresh design aesthetic makes this little spot feel open and welcoming. It’s in the old train station building and has a lot of character but doesn’t feel old at all.
The yogurt here is self-​serve, including the great variety of toppings.
The yogurt is all organic. They have a bunch of different flavors, mostly non-​fat and also some vegan options. I tried the vanilla and the peach – both good although i missed a little creaminess (because they are both non-​fat.)
There are a ton of toppings – cookies, granola, seeds, nuts, sauces, fruit, etc. Almost everything is organic and gluten free. I got coconut flakes, sprouted watermelon seeds, dark chocolate flakes, blueberries, raspberries, and almonds.
Fill up your cup and get it weighed at the register – easy!
I’ll definitely be back to try different flavors and toppings.
Just be careful – it’s easy to overload that cup!

I just stumbled upon this place today outside my office building and on a whim decided to stop in and try it. I loved it! Staff is very accomodating and friendly and the yogurt and toppings were delicious. I had the salty caramel. They even have chocolate chip cookie dough balls for a topping. I will definitely be back!

Solid flavors, cozy décor and great toppings make this a fine place for fro-​yo treats. The only downfall is that the cups are ridiculously large, especially when you don’t want to feed a family of four out of it. I get that it gets weighed and larger cups accomodate bigger portions, but I would prefer not having to fish around in such a large cup for my human-​sized portion.
