Do you know what this place is like? Spirit Airlines. THE only thing they have going for them is cheap prices. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. Avoid this place if you have any self-​respect. Their prices are not worth being dealt with in such a manner. Laser treatments are a dime-​a-​dozen on Groupon & LivingSocial.
The sad part is it used to not be like this when they first opened years & years ago; but the new management has come in and it has gone to ruin.
They have a $ 50 cancellation fee; so if you live far from their location and it’s flooding outside, you’re screwed. EVEN if you call hours before your appointment. The manager offered a «courtesy» of decreasing the fee to $ 25. There is a legal term called an act of God; where an event happens that is out of human control such as dangerous weather. So no, that is not courtesy, that is an insult. Numerous places waive this fee in such conditions. We’ve spent thousands at this place and that’s all she can offer? No thanks. Can’t wait to be done with my sessions so I never have to come to this awful place again. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
Don’t waste your time; there are many places that will treat you with respect & deserve your money.

Went here for electrolysis. My experience here at the Beauty clinic was horrific. I think this is the first ever she had done. My very first phone call should have told me to stay away. I originally called to get get pricing. The lady tells me about a special they are having. I ask if she is sure because it sounds very cheap for electrolysis. She assures me that this is the price so I make an appointment for a consultation. Once I am there the owner comes out and tells me (as I assumed) that the lady had told me wrong and that it was for laser and not electrolysis. So the going rate for electrology is $ 75 an hour. Which is about the same everywhere. We talk and she tells me how people fall asleep while having this done. This was also what I experienced at the previous business I had been to. No big deal right?
I make an appointment. I show up for it which is a few weeks later. I walk in and say that I’m here for my appointment. The lady at the desk says I’m not in the system for an appointment but they can work me in. She has me fill out paper work. I give it back and she asks me for my email account. I tell her that they already have it because they had sent me a confirmation for the appointment that I supposably didn’t have. After a little bickering back and forth she says «well here is your appointment for two weeks further out.» Ok I thought you didn’t have me in your system? Literally 2minutes later a woman walks in and the lady at the front counter is telling this customer that she had missed her appointment and she would have to pay a fee. The lady is telling the receptionist that she never made those appointments and how could they charge her for missing appointments that she never made. The receptionist explains that they had sent her an email notifying her of the appointments because they had made some schedule changes. I’m thinking to myself «I would be freaking out right now. Changing my appointments without actually talking to me first then charging me because I didn’t show?» Anyway I don’t feel alone about the lack of organization but at least they aren’t trying to charge me money for it.
I go into the room for my electrology. It is so painful I couldn’t believe it. Worse than any tattoo or major cut I have had. I am literally jumping off the table. After 30 minutes she says she’s done for this session. Which isn’t bad after all of the pain. So I am leaving and I ask the lady at the front desk if I was going to receive money back because she only performed half of the scheduled time. Of course I was told no. Guess this is why I had to pay first. That should have been my second clue when I had to pay first. So I say «she charges by the hour but only does the work for 30 minutes?» Yes of course is the reply I get. By the time I get home I have blood seeping through my clothes. It is now a week later and still have scabs. Most horrific experience I have ver had when it comes to hair removal. Specially the area. My wife couldn’t believe it. She is probably more angry than me.
One pice of advice if you are considering this place. RUN! Run as fast and as far away as you can. Don’t even stop to rest. Do not let this woman get a hold of your body. She literally was stabbing me with the probe. If I could post pics of it I would.

Horrible business! They have made a habit of posting groupons to garnish business they lose through their horrible business practices and then scam the people to bought the groupon! Way to make an impression!
I bought a very expensive groupon from this clinic for a large tattoo removal service. When I called to schedule and appointment they would book me, then call THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT and cancel because their ‘laser machine was down’. This happened so many times it allowed my groupon to EXPIRE. This was my first time buying such a groupon and didn’t know they could redeem it before my first visit. They neglected to tell me that until my groupon had expired. GO FIGURE! After my groupon expired their machine was magically fixed and they refused to return my calls afterwards. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I finally did get ahold of them whoever answered the phone was completely rude and told me that the money I spent on my groupon would now only cover 1 laser treatment compared to the 3 treatments I bought it for. They are rude people and scammers! Will tell everyone to avoid this business! Wish I would have read these reviews first! Wish I could give NEGATIVE stars!

I tried so hard to patronize this place. I truly did. But the owner/​manager Brenda made it utterly impossible. I’m with Nam W. If I could put 0 or –2 stars, I most assuredly would. This spot is an absolute waste of money and time.
I bought a laser hair removal deal through Groupon for 2 small areas – bikini line and underarms – and a mini European facial. Went in the first time and the laser treatment was painless. Had no issues, my tech was great, so I bought an upgrade for one more small area – Brazilian. Went in the second time and got a different tech — the owner, Brenda. The procedure was painful and uncomfortable. She acted like she was scouring a pan or something with the hair removal appliance, so I decided her rough azz would not be doing mine again. Third time I went in, I got yet another tech, but she was leagues better than Brenda, so I decided to stick with her. I made my next appointment and requested her specifically, and I explained quite clearly that for the sake of modesty I would feel more comfortable having the same tech each time. It’s not like they’re treating my lower legs or my head. I mean really. Everybody who works there does not need to have access to my private body parts. WTF. Came in four weeks later and was told my tech would be Brenda again. I said, «Oh no ma’am. I specifically requested the tech I had last time,» to which Brenda replied the other lady was busy doing facials and she’d have to do it. I told her and the receptionist «no thanks» and to reschedule my appointment for a day when tech #3 would be there. They then said that they couldn’t guarantee a particular tech, but she would be working that day the following weekend. However, if she was busy I’d just have to go with whoever was available.
So I came in again the following weekend and tech #1 was to do my treatment. I was okay with that, so that session went fine. I asked if she or tech #3 would be available on the day of my next appointment and learned that tech #3 quit and that she was on the verge of quitting as well and why.
I went once more and some new girl called me back like she was going to do my treatment. I asked where was tech #1 and was told she was gone too. Brenda came around the corner then as I was informing the receptionist to cancel all future appointments for me because I would NEVER be returning – despite the fact that I still had 3 sessions remaining, and her sorry tail didn’t say a word. It’s really disappointing to find a black-​owned spa with such potential (quality equipment, nice décor and furnishings, good location) that is doomed to fail miserably due to unprofessional business practices, pathetic mismanagement, offering more services than a skeletal staff can effectively or successfully deliver, high turnover, nonexistent customer service, and an owner/​manager with a trifling, nonchalant, apathetic attitude. When I tell you the woman acts like she really believes customers don’t actually matter, it’s an understatement. I can’t even do her ridiculous attitude justice.
While it irritates me to no end that I lost money fooling with this jackleg place, never did get the facial and didn’t get to have enough treatments done for it to make much of a difference, I am FAR more relieved at not having to be bothered with «The Beauty Clinic MedSpa» ever again in life.
Oh, and if you’re still considering going to this place, make sure you read the «filtered» reviews Unilocal has hidden for whatever lame reason. The overwhelming majority of them are SO ON POINT.

Super Terrible Customer Service and Management!!!

Started with a good experience massage. The room was ok. The sheet was clean. The bed was not comfortable. Like another comment said you can hear noises from outside. But it wouldn’t matter if you don’t have to wait 15 — 30 mins before you get your service and it ruins your mood of relaxation like me. After few time I’ve been there, it started to get WORSE & WORSE. The past few times I went there, I always waited like 20 – 35 mins. So What’s The Point Of Having An Appointment???
One day while I was waiting for my facial, I was witness that they argued with a customer. The customer got upset that she had to pay for the cancellation fee $ 25 because she didn’t call to cancel ahead of time which they forgot to collect it last time she came. She said «I remember I did because it was a Spring break.» The receptionist kept saying that I just do what she put in the note here to collect the fee from you. I was doubt that why they forgot to collect the fee since last time she came. Then now I know that THIS PLACE TRIES TO RIP YOU OFF! I got it myself that’s why I can say it.
So I bought a Groupon for 2 sessions of classic Medi-​Pedi. I made an appointment for my 1^st session on Saturday then I had to call back to separate the appointment because I had to go somewhere and I couldn’t finish Meni-​Pedi in one time. I went on Saturday to do my Pedi which again I had to wait like 20 mins to get the service. I got my appointment on the following Wednesday for my meni. I still have 1 session of Meni-​Pedi left so I made an appointment to go in July. On Wednesday when TK did my meni, I did it to rough so my skin broke and breeded on 1 finger. After I finished my meni I got a call from receptionist named Lisa. She said TK (Nail Stylist) told her that when I came on Saturday I upgraded my classic Pedi to Signature one. So she would take my 1 Meni that I have credit left to replace for the upgrade or another option is if I still want my meni I have to buy it or pay upgrade fee for $ 25. I was surprised in a bad way. I didn’t ask for any upgrade so why they tried to take my service out or collect me the fee. And why she just told her on Wednesday in stead of after finish my pedi on Saturday. I still keep that voicemail that Lisa left on my cell. I was very upset. I won’t get service that I paid for through Groupon and they made it sounds like I owe them something.
Then I went in on Wednesday a week after for my facial. I got a chance to talk to a manager named Brenda. I tried to explain her what happen but it seemed like she didn’t want to listen to me at all. She told me that I can wait for Lisa to come in at 1pm because she knows what happened. I was like (in my mind) uhhhh you’re the manager here. Aren’t you supposed to solve this kind of issue. No wonder that employees didn’t provide good service because there’s a bad manager like this. I waited until Lisa came and she kept saying same thing that TK told her that. So I told her that I looked it up what’s the different between classic and signature. I told her that 1 thing that I got more than classic pedi was TK scrubbed my callas. I asked them if they have a camera to review for what TK did for me but she didn’t answer. Lisa said that «From what you said it was a part of signature service». So I asked her it was «a PART of signature» but why do I have to pay full fee amount. And why do I have to pay anyway because I didn’t even ask for the upgrade and I wasn’t even aware of it. She had no answer and said I’m sorry. At this point, I just asked her to canceled my last pedi and told her I will never go back to do meni-​pedi again. I shouldn’t even go back for any service at all.
For the smart consumer like you who read this, I recommend to stay away from this place. If you don’t want to wait and wait to get a service. Or be the one who get a jackpot like me!!!

This was my first time visiting this place, but it’s ok for it to be a fairly new business. I purchased the groupon for the Mani-​Pedi for a good price. There was only one nail tech by the name of TK and she was nice and took her time finishing my nails, although there were people waiting on her. Also, there are plenty of nail polishes to choose from. I tried to schedule my aunt at the same time, but because they are short staffed my aunt need to come another day. They need more nail techs!!!

We have yet to use our group for $ 129 for two massages, facials, manicure ad pedicures for two people… Long story short, we purchased the deal in February and could not get an appointment scheduled until MAY! — I mean, why put your spa on groupon if you are not able to truly appeal to people who are wanting services within the next couple weeks…
It has been a pain in the butt to use these groupons because the spa said they could, «not fit us in their schedule» … We have called, emailed and left plenty of voicemails trying to set up appointments without any return call… It just seems very unprofessional.
The receptionist said, they were so busy because they have «high end» clients… well, truth be told — if your clients were so «high end» then chances are you would not be advertising on groupon to gain new clients…
either way, it’s not working because OBVIOUSLY people are not happy with your services.

I purchased this service through Groupon and then realized that my friend was currently using the same service for full body hair removal. She was not impressed overall, but the specific treatment service was fine. After two treatments I have to agree with her. BOTH of my treatment technicians so far have been great. Of course, after my 2^nd round of laser I was given a list of things I could not/​should not do for 48 hours… but I didn’t get the same tips after my 1^st service. After my first service I just got «have a great day».
The ‘behind the counter’ service is well below par. Failed appointment reminders (OK, this is not the receptionist’s problem, but it still falls «behind the counter» in my book). If you call and they are busy you get «Thanks for calling… May I take your name and number and call you back?» But you never get a call back (twice this has happened to me). Sometimes you flat get hung up on. When they moved from Southlake to Las Colinas they didn’t call people, they only sent emails. So, if you didn’t get the email and went to Southlake to an empty office they said «oops. Sorry. We sent you an email.»
I’m a bit jealous of the people who know their technicians names. I’ve never been formally introduced to anyone in that office! Nor have I been given the Laser 101 talk.
Today the technician tried to upsell me with a promotion that was «going away and won’t be brought back… the prices will double» (the same promo that the receptionist tried to upsell me 6 weeks ago). I declined. Laser treatments are a dime-​a-​dozen on Groupon. If you want me to come back to your office you need to have top notch service from the phone to the treatment room.
Also, today a woman walked out because she had been waiting so long for her appointment (I don’t know the details). It appeared that the «new» receptionist is not making friends. If you can imagine, 6 weeks ago the receptionist was «OK». The new one is plain «AWFUL». God love her, maybe she will get the hang of it soon…
If you don’t care about customer service, friendly faces, and competent administrative practices — feel free. This place is great! Otherwise, move on!
As far as location, the Las Colinas location is perfectly fine. It is in a nice shopping center, well lit. The laser rooms are small, but clean and tidy — nothing to write home about, but not «gross». My second treatment was after some winter weather had come in. They (Beauty Clinic NOR the shopping center) didn’t bother to do any de-​icing so that was disturbing. Also, they CLEARLY had no heat. It was just as cold inside as it was outside (29 degrees!!!). Even the staff was bundled up. Imagine stripping down to nothing and having cold gel slathered over your bits when it is below freezing inside and out! The staff didn’t acknowledge the cold, even when you did!
There was a notice that they would not be offering Groupon services after the new year, I wonder if they will stay in business because it is clear this was a bulk of their business.

I purchased a groupon for two massages. The first massage was pleasant enough but nothing special. I actually really disliked the massage table because the pad on both the bed and headrest was so thin that after about 5 minutes of being facedown I felt like I was facedown on a rslab of concrete. Very uncomfortable!
The 2^nd appointment didn’t go as well. Again, the massage itself was pleasant enough, but that was the only thing going for it. First of all I was stuck in the little waiting area with a screaming child and a woman who wouldn’t take her out of there. Who brings a 2 year old to a «spa»? My appointment was also more than 20 minutes late because the receptionist spazzed out. During the massage I could still hear the blaring music from the waiting area through the paper-​thin walls, along with the massage music. Oh, and that kid was still screaming for another 15 minutes. And through it all there was some odd buzzing/​beeping sound that I assumed was something to do with lasering. Aaaaaand I’m back on that uncomfortable thin pad on the massage table. So what part of this was supposed to be relaxing?
As I was leaving the receptionist almost apologized for the earlier wait by saying «these things happen». I suspect they happen to her a LOT.
So my recommendation is this: If you’re there for waxing or laser or whatever else they do there, OR you’re deaf as a post, I’m sure it’s no worse here than anywhere else. But a massage where you want to relax? Fuggeddaboudit.

I purchased a laser hair removal package via Groupon for this clinic. The only reason I’m continuing my treatments is because I’ve already paid for them. The level of customer service at this establishment is zero. I recently had to reschedule an appointment because I had to go on antibiotics and they say not to have treatments until you’ve been off antibiotics for 12 days. I called the day I went to the doctor and tried to reschedule my laser appointment for the alotted time after I completed my meds. This has been more a pain in the neck than it is worth. I called and was told there were no available appointments in the time frame I needed but that I should call back in a week and see if there were any cancellations. I waited a week and called back. Turns out they’re completely booked up (overbooked in my opinion) and can’t get me in until JANUARY. I find this completely ridiculous and the staff didn’t seem to care that this was a complete inconvenience for me. They could care less. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment but to be honest, I’ve had over half my scheduled treatments and haven’t seen any results so I’m not sure I’ll even keep the appointment.
I also purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute massage for me and a friend that expires on December 26^th. I was told that they couldn’t get us in until the 30^th of December (which is a Sunday) and that they could only take one of us in the morning and one in the afternoon. I paid $ 60 for these groupons and they’ll go to waste because of poor scheduling and customer service on the part of this clinic.
I will say that the laser doesn’t hurt as much as other lasers but I haven’t seen the caliber of results I’ve seen with other lasers. I will not be gracing this place with my presence ever again once I’m through with my laser hair removal.

No bueno! I purchased 2 laser pkgs that came w/​2 mini facials. First couple experiences of my laser were fine. They moved into a new facility that was an upgrade from where they were. The only thing nice about the facility is the entry. I noticed they started having high turn overs w/​their staffing. Not to mention, you can never make your appointment w/​the same tech. As a matter of fact, you can’t schedule appts for specific techs on any service you want w/​them. You get who you get. There used to be a man that did laser that was the absolute best and now he’s gone. Here is what finally did it for me. I decided to use one of my «free mini facials» and showed up for my apt early. Of course they were late attending to me… they said it was because they were trying to get the room together. I walk in to pretty much a small walk in closet. Was not a relaxing atmosphere. It was extremely tight. You couldn’t even open the door all the way and the tech had to squeeze in/​out and around. Not sure what exactly they had to do to get the room «ready». She did not look or act like she had been in this field for long. No music, no comfortable bedding, she kept having to go in/​out of the room to get water, towels and the cleansing products. Not relaxing by any means! Not to mention every time she would have to go in/​out I would have to move my feet or the door would hit them. Then someone busted open the door (hitting my feet) during my session and didn’t even bother closing it once they realized someone was in there. Absolutely ridiculous. The facial itself was no facial. The tech acted like she did not know how to touch your face, she barely would touch you and not to mention smelled like cig smoke! Needless to say I will not be using my 2^nd free mini facial. It gets better… as I was getting another service done 2 employees get into an argument and curse each other out. Unorganized, unprofessional, poor customer service and atmosphere is thumbs down!

I’m not sure if I feel any different after reading the other negative reviews, knowing that I’m not the only person to be so thoroughly annoyed with the Beauty Clinic’s customer service.
I started out with Brenda for micro-​dermabrasion, in 2010 when she had only one location before she offered laser and eyelash services. Thinking of Brenda and her shop as an upcoming women-​minority establishment, i didn’t mind continuing to support her and purchased more services, including eye-​brow threading and laser hair removal. As stated by another reviewer, I would have a different inexperienced technician every time, giving me different instructions for the next visit and treating me with different settings. One of the treatments majorly exceeded my pain tolerance — and the next would barely register.
Rescheduling an appointment is almost impossible, because no one answers the phone or ever returns your call. If you leave a message and don’t follow up, you WILL be charged a no-​show fee. I finally had enough and spoke with Brenda about a refund. She stated that I could not receive one, since I received a promotional price, and had the nerve to tell me that I owed a no-​show fee.
This is not the type of establishment with which you want to employ inexperienced technicians that handle vital body parts and sensitive areas. Even the eye=brow threading was weak and unsuccessful; I ended up tweezing when I got home!
Horrible experience — enormous waste of money.

Purchased full body laser removal on groupon and love the results! I have had my first session for upper and lower body with Jessica and Debbie and felt extremely comfortable. They were very informative and professional. After one session, I could see a MAJOR difference.
The rooms were very very clean and the location was in a nicer shopping center.
Would definitely recommend for painless hair removal!

I love waxing but it can be so damn expensive so when my co-​worker mentioned to me about a Groupon for laser hair removal, I jumped right on it.
The service was quick and the pain was minimal. It did slightly sting in some areas but i think it was because I missed a few hairs while shaving. If you have waxed before, then laser hair removal will be a breeze. It has been a few weeks since my first session and a lot of the hair have fallen out. I’ve shaved a few times and I noticed a lot of the hair isn’t growing back. I’ll definitely update my review once I have completed all six sessions.
They offer monthly deals that are similar to the groupon deals. I actually purchased the whole leg package after getting my underarms, bikini area, and upper lip lasered. The special at the time for the entire leg was $ 300.
I think the other Unilocalers were reviewing an old location because this one was pretty decent. I wasn’t scared and the waiting area was pretty comfortable. I do wish they had better signage because I drove by it a few times before finding it.

I’m sorry that some other have had bad experiences, but I have only had very positive experiences with this salon! I’ve had MANY mani-​pedis around the DFW area, and the Shellac /​gel manis and pedicures I’ve received here are by far the best.
Their new location is great, and much better than the previous spot. Perhaps thy have also upgraded their nail staff, because I’ve been very impressed with Jessica, the tech that has serviced me several times. I also appreciate how flexible and accommodating the management team is.
It’s important to note that I’m extremely picky and critical, and I don’t just Unilocal for any company — only those that I feel very strongly about (either positively or negatively). I’ve purchased many Groupon /​Living Social deals for various spa services (hair cuts, highlights, mani-​pedis, waxing, etc.) with the expectation that I would find a high-​quality place and then pay full price once I found best. After literally dozens of deals, I’ve finally found the one that is worth paying full price for — and it’s the mani-​pedis at The Beauty Clinic!

This place is terrible.
1) I got a groupon for $ 1,000 to have my whole body treated. My first visit, they called me at 9pm the night before on my cell phone to tell me that their offices had moved. Of course, I didn’t get the message, and I drove to the wrong place the next morning. I imagine they knew before 9pm the night before my appointment that they were moving.
2) One day I locked my keys in my car and called them telling them I would be late, they told me to come anyway, and then when I showed up they said they couldn’t see me and charged me a «no-​show» fee even though I did show, I was just late, and I had called them before to tell them and they had said it was okay. Why they told me to still show up so they could turn me away and charge me a no-​show fee is beyond me.
3) I asked to have the same technician for each of my appointments because I’d rather not 6 different people look at me naked, but I’ve had a different person each time, all of which clearly seem to be fresh out of school — two have even told me that — and still trying to figure out the machine and exactly how to do it. Apparently the boss is a teacher and he hires his students fresh out of school.
4) My first two appointments they did my whole body at once so I wouldn’t have to drive out to Irving from Richardson 12 times. Suddenly they said that that it was never allowed to do whole body treatments at once, though I had specifically asked before I shelled out $ 1,000 for the Groupon and they had already done my whole body twice. Finally, the owner allowed me to do my whole body in one visit after rudely arguing with me, but it’s been an issue all over again every time I’ve visited after that.
5) They scheduled my next appointment for Labor Day. When I called to confirm this was right today, they said they were closed Labor Day. Why would they schedule me for a day they were closed? Glad I checked because they certainly weren’t planning to call me about it – like the move. I would have driven out there to find them closed. They said they couldn’t get me in for another month, which will jeopardize my results. The receptionists (especially Dimira) and the owner are unapologetic and rude when these mistakes are repeatedly made. I’d like to go just ONCE and not have any problems!
The only positive about this place is that the laser doesn’t seem to hurt that much when compared to the last laser place I went, but I’m not too impressed with the results and I’ve done 4 out of 6 appointments. Save your money and go some place where they have their act together!

I always feel bad giving bad reviews– however, I was so unsatisfied with my Laser Hair Removal purchase on Groupon I asked for a refund. Was that even laser hair removal? It was a very unprofessional setting. There was also a baby running around with a poopy diaper… that was gross…
The lady running the place, Brenda, is really sweet & nice. However, the setting just isn’t right. I was scared.

So my sister and I thought it ‘d be an awesome idea to purchase a Groupon deal for this place to get a mani-pedi…pretty striaght forward and simple right? We had a $ 29 deal for the mani-​pedi combo. We call in to make the appointment, and evidently they have had a ton of customers purchase the same Groupon coupon deal, so they were kind of booked out. No big deal. We set our appointments for a Saturday two weeks out. We call in the week of the appointment and reschedule the appointment for Friday, and the receptionist said that was perfectly fine, and she would see us on Friday at 4pm. It was clear that they were going to be open that day. We get there on Friday and there is NO ONE there. Lights are off, and it is very apparent that they were closed. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited an extra 20 minutes. Still no one showed up! On top of that, the place is located in the not so great part of Irving, and the building it was in was not very well kept and was old… smelled of my Grandpa’s gym socks. All of that probably wouldn’t have mattered if they had shown up! We called and left them a voicemail, and they didn’t even bother to call us back to either reschedule or apologize for making us drive all the way to BFE for nothing. Thanks Beauty Clinic. May you get a customer with several corns, open sores, and warts all over.
