Stayed at DFW Marriott overnight and found this place on Unilocal. Ordered Pad Ka-Paw with seafood and extra spicy. The dish was stirred fries with bell peppers, onion and Thai basil. Although there was bamboo shoot and broccoli as described on the Menu, the dish tasted great. The highest of spiciness fit my taste. I also ordered Grilled Squid as an appetizer. It took 15 min to prepare, so it arrived after I started digging in the Pad Ka-Paw. It also had great flavor and texture. I did not like the sauce that came with the squid. Instead I dipped the squid with the spicy sauce on my entrée. It was even better than the cold green sauce. I will definitely come back and sample more selections. BTW, there is a Karaōke machine in the back of the restaurant. You can enjoy singling along with the prerecord music tune. Forgot to take photos of the dishes before I was half way finished. Will try to remember on my next visit.

After moving to the Dallas area and trying at least 20 other Thai restaurants, my husband and I can finally say we found a great one! Thai E San serves authentic Thai street food. My husband and I tried the papaya salad with crab(som tum bua), grilled issan sausage, and drunken noodles. My kids shared the Thai pineapple fried rice. Everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed how the sausage was served with a plate of ginger slices, thai chili peppers, cabbage, and roasted peanuts(traditional Thai condiments for this dish). What I loved most about this restaurant, other than their authentically Thai menu options, is that the chefs did not add 3 pounds of sugar to their dishes unlike most Americanized Thai restaurants. Sugar does not belong in everything and real Thai cooks do not put peanut butter in their dishes(yuck!). I do not understand why Americanized Thai food is so sweet. Food in Thailand is not super sweet. The difference in such baffles me. Service here was outstanding. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were very nice Thai people. The restaurant itself was welcoming, clean, and charming. We absolutely loved this restaurant and can not wait to go back to try their other dishes, especially their boat noodle soup, shells, and grilled Thai coconut chicken(Gai Yang). Check these guys out today and try something new. If you’re unfamiliar with Thai street food, ask the servers for recommendations. You won’t regret it. P. s. If you’re looking for Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Beef & Broccoli, general Tso, or egg rolls, you’re at the wrong kind or restaurant :(Thai food and Chinese food… totally different.

Well I was so excited that their menu looked so different and interesting. I thought why not! I started with Tom yum soup a small bowl that is literally enough for two. However as I tried the soup i noticed it was super blan! It did not taste like tom yum at all. The broth was missing the sour flavor. So as I tried it I’m thinking well maybe I will try something else! So I got Thai egg rolls! I ordered two thinking they were small like other places! Well I was wrong again! Thai eggs rolls were large! I was excited Bc for some reason egg rolls sounded really good! To my disappointment, they were veggie rolls! I was expecting meat in the rolls but it was all veggie. It to had no flavor. So my kids already ate at an American place but cane to sit w me so I can try Thai. My son did mpg like then either. I knew he wouldn’t as I watched him put the egg roll in his mouth. He made a face lol then I ordered chicken wings and that too was blan. The wings were overly cooked to were the meat was super crunchy and hard. I ordered sticky rice hoping it would help my food, but they were slow getting be the rice. I was done by the time my rice came. So the waitress asked if I needed to order more food ., I told her no thank u, no need telling her why I didn’t want more. I just figured since what I have tried so far is not working. Needless to say I won’t be coming back.

Everything was going fine at first. When I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon it wasn’t busy at all with only one table occupied. I was sat down immediately, the woman was attentive and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. The egg roll was good and the Pad ka-pow was too until I noticed there was a hair in my food!!! She offered to make me a new dish but I said no it’s okay I just want to pay for the egg roll and leave. She charged me $ 5 even though the egg roll was only $ 1.25, however I had already ate some of the food and I didn’t want to argue so I paid the $ 5 and left! She didn’t even offer an APOLOGY!!! There’s also another review from someone else about them finding a baby roach at the bottom of a container!!! I’m disgusted and will not be back!

We ordered«hot wan» aka sea snails for appetizers, tom kha chicken noodle soup(not displayed), «Som tum e san» papaya salad(level 5), and«crying tiger» aka marinade steak salad. The foods we ordered were all pretty delicious, at least in my opinion, and I will definitely be coming back! My only advice is don’t order a level 5 unless you enjoy setting your mouth on fire. like me!

My new favorite spot! The staff was so friendly and the food was very fresh. Their Tom yum soup is delicious! The establishment was clean. I have dined in and have had take out and each time the quality of food has remained the same. I would recommend the chicken red curry.(spice level 3 if you like a little spice) Definitely recommend this spot!

Love this place! Looks like it’s family owned and operated. I’m Thai so I’m always on the hunt for good Thai food. Papaya salad is pretty tasty, Sai Krok Esan(thai sausage) is good, chicken wings were boring, Soup Nor Mai is good — spicy thai bamboo salad, Pad Thai is solid, Crab yellow curry — great, and my favorite is the dessert! Khanom Bua Loi — try it! Tapioca balls in coconut milk with coconut meat, you won’t regret it!

Like most people when I come to the great state of Texas I enjoy the brisket. After about three days and a bypass surgery I need to switch it up. I love Thai food, I spent two years speaking Laos/Thai as a Mormon missionary so I have eaten quite a bit of Thai food. Thai E San restaurant in Irving just put themselves in the top three I’ve ever had. Super fresh, very very tasty. The Thai Egg Roll is bigger than you’re used to. It’s more the size of a Chinese Egg Roll but with the traditional stuffing. For $ 1.25 such a deal. I went with the Pad Thai. I asked for it to be so/so spicy but I said it in Thai. They treated me like someone who’s eaten Thai food and nailed the heat level. My lips are still a little burny but I’m far from dying. The noodles were sweet and like I mentioned so fresh. They have some Thai light rock playing over the radio which is awesome. The staff was so very polite. If you want Thai food and you’re in Irving(or Dallas or Ft. Worth or Waco or San Antonio or El Paso) come to Thai E San.

Stopped in today and was impressed with the atmosphere, service, friendliness of the staff, price AND food. Ordered the salad spring roll and the Panang curry for just $ 11 after tax. Came out quickly and tasted great. Definitely going on my list of lunch spots!

This used to be Best Thai. Not sure if they have different owner now. I ordered red curry to go with tofu and a side of rice. The taste was good but the tofu was rotten. It had a weird odor to it and plus there was a baby roach stuck to the bottom of my container. That’s gross. I didn’t get to eat any tofu and yes I sure did eat most of lunch before I discovered the baby roach. It was disgusting. Their thai tea was good though. This could have been a better review.

I’ve ordered the pineapple curry and chow mein noodles both of which were subpar. Tofu were over fried corn and veggies tasted low canned quality. I order the spice level 3 but was picking out Chile pieces from the dishes. $ 30 for two dishes, a drink and tip. I’m being generous with a two star rating as one and a half is not possible, would not eat here again.

0 – 2 for me. Not sure if Best thai use to be at this spot, but wish they came back lol. I had their pad ka pow, and they literally put in maybe 2.5 tablespoons worth of ground beef into this ground meat dish and then the rest was 99% vegetables with a fried egg on top. very disappointed. Its suppose to be the other way around ratio wise. Not the first time either, 2 times in a row this happened. sad.

Very good Thai food! I enjoyed the yellow curry with brown rice. Got #3 spicy and it was really spicy hot! Next time I think I will get #2 spicy or even #1 spicy. Also had one of the soups with coconut… yummy! The service was great and friendly! The atmosphere is open and pleasant. Also it is BYOB which I like! :)

Very good … Would come again. Nothing is too spicy unless you asked. Peanuts are in excessive use. No real fear of getting sick with peanut allergy. Kids eating happily. However, watch your spice level. Mild is best. Medium is very spicy, unless you’re from Thailand. I give thumbs up!
