Stephen Scheller, CPA

This was my first year using a CPA. I am a self-​employed marketing consultant, operating as a corporation, and my taxes are somewhat complicated. Mr. Scheller immediately put me at ease! He had a wealth of suggestions — so I was able to substantially lower my tax liability. I was amazed at the quick turn-​around; he had my business and personal taxes e-​filed the next day! Tax time for most people often ranks right up there with a trip to the dentist, bad weather during vacation, or your mother-​in-​law dropping by for a visit during the big game. Thankfully, for our family, we discovered Stephen Scheller at Scheller Financial Services. When I think back to times past when I used to go to a fancy CPA office and I would sit there feeling like a naughty kid waiting to see the principal. I would then be ushered into an office that looked like something out of a movie about a crooked Wall Street investor and the CPA would spank more money out of my checkbook than I ever got back in tax refunds. All of this would take place as he used his best condescending, «I am doing you a favor,» attitude. With Stephen Scheller you can avoid all of that nonsense. He is a savvy, finance professional with a casual approach to people who will never promise you the moon. He called me last year during a break in a tax law seminar he was taking in Florida to calm my nerves and give me some solid advice. Just like he does for me he will tell you the facts, advise you of your options, and let you make up your own mind, plus, and here is the free bonus, he will deliver on his promises. I do my own investing and trust only two institutions with my money; the lead financial officer at my bank and my taxman, Stephen Scheller at Scheller Financial Services. P. S. I don’t have time to do my own taxes and am very skeptical regarding who I trust with my personal information. I needed a knowledgable CPA that didn’t treat me as just another number. I consulted with a friend and was referred to Stephen Scheller. When I called Stephen’s office, an appointment was quickly scheduled, (not 2 weeks out as other accountants I called). When I met with Stephen, I was immediately impressed with his tax knowledge and attention to detail! He quickly alleviated my concerns and structured a game plan on how we were to tackle my return. I didn’t feel like he was in a hurry to get me in and out, he actually took the time to explain the pros and cons of my return. He set my expectations that he should have my return completed in 48 – 72 hours but I received an email with my drafted return before I had even arrived at my home after leaving his office. He followed up with me by phone the next day to instruct me on the next steps. I must admit I was pretty impressed that he took the time to walk me through even the simplest of steps. I needed it and honestly didn’t know what questions to ask and I think he knew that. If you are looking for a CPA in the DFW I recommend Stephen Scheller. Taxes are not fun, and I was highly nervous about completing mine, but Stephen helped me knock this to do item off my list and I am glad I found his services!

I’ve been using Steven for about 3 years now. He is a very tall man. His size alone is intimidating but he is as nice and gentle as can be. He knows his stuff forward and backward. He helped me fix a old IRS problem and it went very well. At times I was worried with all the scary mail I got from the IRS but Steven assured me all was ok and it was. Not sure if his pricing is competitive, but his knowledge is great and so is his customer service. His wife helps out during the busy tax season and she is just as nice. I haven’t had experience with his other staff. Seems the receptionist person is different every time I go. the last one i meet back in Feb 2010 was very nice. not sure why Unilocal is saying Stephen is closed. he is not.
