Steak ‘n Shake

Slow and poor service. Brought wrong burger and cold fries. Shake too 15 minutes to get. Too many other good places in the area to go back to this steak and shake again

I ordered a snickers milk shake. I received what I assume was an egg nog milk shake because it had a hint of cinnamon and it was a yellowish color. The manager was working the drive through window. I told her my milkshake was wrong. She told me she made it herself and put snickers in it. There were no snickers. She took it back and brought me another shake. This time it tasted like an eggnog milkshake with snickers… I just gave up and left

It was just bad all around. I have eaten at other locations and it was good. Bad service, bad food, and the place was a mess.

First time here and it sure won’t be the last.
Loved the shake I had, chocolate fudge I believe. And the turkey sandwich was pretty good as well.
Received great customer service from my waitress and some other guy named Luis, very friendly and professional. The place itself was somehow different compared to the ones I normally go to. A tiny bit confusing but I guess it’s cause I’m a rookie.
Great experience overall.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I love Steak ‘n Shake (other locations), but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had with them.
So my girlfriend and I walked in shortly after 2:00 am, around 2:15ish. We were super starving. Anywho, we sat down and waited for a very long 30 – 45 minutes before our drinks and orders were taken. Keep in mind there was one other table besides us, and they were just as neglected as we were. So as we’re waiting to give our order, our «waitress» decides to get into a bit of an argument with the other table. Super unprofessional. To add to it, the waitress was the one who started it.
Okay so we get our drinks, and then our food. Turns out that we got food that we didn’t order. Our waitress was eating hot Cheetos at the bar, ignoring us, so I took our food to the bar and got the cook’s attention. He tried to tell me that we ordered the food that we received. Seriously? I know what I ordered. Finally someone else brings out the food (without napkins). Once again, the food is wrong. Also, our fries were super cold. I didn’t feel like waiting forever and a day, so I went ahead and ate my food.
Lastly, the manager was being really rude to guests who were walking in after us, telling them that the restaurant and drive through were both closed, even though it’s open 24 hours. Please do ME a favor and don’t go there. It’s not worth getting upset.

I gave this place a 2^nd chance and I was disappointed again. The service just sucks so bad I can’t believe they stay in business. We waited 20 minutes before we even received our drink order. It’s not busy it’s 11 pm on a Monday night! Totally unacceptable!

Terrible service. I mean seriously guys, how difficult is it? Let me answer that for you, it’s not difficult, I would know bc I was a waitress for 4 years. So very rude and incompetent. Waited 30 mins for shakes… should have left and gone to Sonic.

Words cannot describe how amazing their food is! The few times I’ve gone, I met with such sweet and kind staff, and their milkshakes are to die for! Anything you order takes long to come, but they make the food fresh so it’s worth it!

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Service here on 7−17−15 has been the worst I’ve ever encountered. Arrived at 12:10, not real busy. Sat immediately. Drink order never taken until 12:22, by that time we had full order ready. Didn’t get drinks until 12:38 when I stood up, waved at waitress and made a drink motion. Got 2 of 5 drinks, no shakes. Finally got up and walked out at 12:49 with 2 of 5 drinks only. Will never go back for the service alone.

Waited for food almost 30 minutes and for shake it took extra 30 min, in the end we had to cancel our shake order. Everytime it feels like they have a small size blender to make a glass of shakes. Very unorganized environment. This restaurant needs food inspection in my opinion.

The burgers are good I get the triple with cheese can’t go wrong for the price average food. The only thing that you need to lookout for is if they are crowded because every time we go in when its crowed it takes for ever to get waited and to get your food. Last month they were busy when we arrive after setting there for 15 min with no greet from sever we left. If it’s busy don’t go in.

This place is ridiculous and has the worst customer service of any fast food place I’ve been to in a long time. Their manager, after having to re-​order my shake and meal 4 times and getting it wrong once again decided to comp all of the food. He offered to re-​make the meal and I refused because lord knows what they would have done to my meal back in the kitchen. The resolution should have been a gift card to another location where I might get proper service and the right order. Also just for note, il when I got my meal it had so much salt on the fries it appeared as if they poured baking powder on my food because it was white. I won’t be coming back here. This manager is a joke.

Carry out on 3÷29÷1 @ 10:50am. Ordered 3 plain sliders and a plain hot dog for my dog without the fries. I ordered a regular hamburger with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion for myself with chocolate shake. Luis who took my order was very polite.
Asked they wrap the fries so they would stay warm for my 10 minute drive home. The fries were ice cold meaning they were not warm to begin with, the hamburger was horrible. I could get a better meal at McDonald’s for less than $ 15. Only good thing: milkshake.

The cook was not a happy camper and complained the whole time I stood there waiting for my food.

Waited 15 minutes watching the lone server check on every table and the rest of the crew including the manager stand around at the counter all the while not even being waited on. Tried staring at the crew and getting their attention before finally leaving… The manager did say thank you and have a nice night as we left…

We love what a great place this is!!! The service is pretty slow on the inside but the drive through is way quicker. Love the French fries and chicken strips! Great meals for $ 4!!! We got 4 meals for right at $ 20!!!

Food was good but the customer service wasn’t. No refills at the table; my drink was empty for 30 minutes. Waiter only came by 3 times once to take the order, once to deliver drinks, and once to deliver the food with the check.
Nobody was paying attention to the checkout register. Another customer had to go find staff and ask them how/​where to pay his bill.
I should note I counted roughly 3 – 4 wait staff and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. That would be understandable.

We are quickly becoming fans of this place. The burgers are great, t he service is great, the prices are great.
Our only complain is that the bathrooms could be cleaner.

Clean & Always Good. The food is the same price as McDonalds or Burger King but its alot better quality. Also you get table side service. If you are on a budget this is the place to go. You pay at the register and the bill will have a spot for a tip.
