History

Established in 1985.

In 1986, Leon Morris and Charlie Johnson formed a partnership that eventually became L&C Auto Sales. The first L&C Auto Sales began at the corner of Lombardy Lane and Harry Hines in Dallas. With only room for 10 cars, Leon and Charlie began laying the groundwork for what was to become one of the most successful Buy-​Here-​Pay-​Here car dealerships in town! In 1990, after sustained growth, L&C Auto Sales moved locations and made 9764 Harry Hines their home for the next 15 years. In 1991, Mr. Morris decided to pursue other business ventures. Charlie & Cindy Johnson then began running the day to day operations of the car business. Today, with the help of their son Kevin, daughter Debbie and grandson Josh, L&C Auto Sales is truly a family run business! In September of 2006, after being forced to move because of the DART rail system being built, L&C Auto Sales relocated to 1830 North Beltline Road in Irving.

Kevin J.

Business Owner

Born in Irving Texas, his parents moved to Cedar Hill in 1980. Attended public schools until graduating from Cedar Hill High School in 1993. Graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1999. Having worked many summers and weekends at L&C Auto Sales, Kevin always had a feeling that he would end up working in the car business. After graduating college, his parents, Charlie & Cindy, gave him that opportunity. Beginning full time work in January of 2000, Kevin was trained in all aspects of the car business by his father Charlie. Today, he oversees and manages the daily operations of the business. Kevin enjoys keeping up with all the local sports teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys and also shares a love of Corvettes with his father.
