Taste was alright but it was something like 3 oz of chicken and 1 naan with a little bit of sauce for ~10 $. Would be much higher if this place gave half way reasonable portions but these were pathetic.

I got samosas and noodles from the chinese menu and it was all pretty decent. The staff is friendly. The prices reasonable. However, I gotta give a low rating to this place because even though I ate at the restaurant, every plate used at this location seems to be made of styrofoam and they only have plasticware available. I can only imagine the amount of non-recyclable trash this business creates daily. it is 2016 and so many people continue to act like there aren’t 7 billion people on this planet and some of our natural resources aren’t renewable. I think it’s time to hold businesses accountable for how much environmental footprint their business causes and take that into account when we decide to frequent a place. Please use more paper items for take-out orders and use regular plates and silverware for people eating in.

Good flavor. Here is a tip. Order one rice, one naan it’s enough for 2. The staff is genuinely friendly, but not that helpful. Good vegetarian menu.

They serve the food on disposable plates so don’t count on presentation but the food is good! Had the butter chicken and biryani, I would return! Although, I know there are a lot of places in the area that serve Indian food so I would try other ones before actually coming back.

This place is quick and convenient. Food is typically ready in 10 minutes and it’s cheap. You can eat well for about $ 8. While the food isn’t amazing, it’s good enough to satisfy a craving for Indian food. However, everything tastes the same so there’s no real need to explore the menu. This is not a place to bring your date to and that’s all I’m going to say about décor.

Love this place. Although I am a gringo I love my curry. With that in mind Im not the best authority to speak on the authenticity of the food but I can say it was delicious. I have the tikka masala and my sister has the butter masala we’ve tried a few different plates but keep coming back to those two. Would maybe like some metal silverware in the future and bigger water cups but that doesn’t detract from the food.

this restaurant has worst food ever, i feel like puking after having meal, chicken wasnt fresh and instead of paneer they use cheap tofu. Such a wastage of time, money and spoiled out mood completely.

Little hole in the wall located in the Indian Bazaar off of Airport Fwy(183) and N. O’Connor. Food is good and the prices are cheap. Decided take out dinner here tonight after Unilocaling for some local restaurants I haven’t tried and seeing recent positive reviews about Hot N Spicy. Scoped out the menu via Unilocal and saw that you can download their app for coupons. That was cool. The girl that took our order was really nice. Although they were out of vegetable spring rolls, she recommended vegetable somosas, so we tried those out. We sat to wait 15 minutes for our food; Chicken Tikki Masala, Chicken Biryani, and Mixed Hakka Chowmein. I chose to drive there and order in person due to previous Unilocal!reviews I read where customers that ordered in advance still had to additionally wait after arriving.(During our wait, we overheard a woman come in asking if their phone didn’t work?) While we were waiting I realized my receipt didn’t show the Naan and Raita I’d ordered. I went up and asked the girl and she explained I didn’t have to order the Naan and Raita separate unless I wanted an extra order — it came with the order I was already getting. 18 minutes later we were handed two bags and we went home. It smelled delicious! We started serving the food when we realized — there was NO naan anywhere in sight! I was really bummed out because I’d really been craving naan and read an awesome review about how delicious theirs is. I was disappointed because I’d been told it would come in the order. The sauce did. But no naan. My bf especially liked the Chicken Tikki Masala while I am absolutely addicted to the Biryani rice now! The Mixed Hakka Chowmein we got medium spicy and I loved it — only thing I didn’t like was the shrimp but I don’t like shrimp to begin with. The portions are HUGE, we had three plates and still have leftovers. It was too good to not return at least once more — but I will check to make sure I receive naan! I don’t care if I have to pay extra or not, I really love my naan, and I really get disappointed when I don’t have it and I drove over to mostly satisfy a naan craving and try a new place out. It’s also what kept a 5 star rating, and also made me consider giving a 3. I regret to say that I didn’t take any photos like I try to usually, but I’m glad to say that it was because I was too eager to indulge in the delicious aromas that was seeping from the boxes!

It is a small venue but has very friendly staff and great inexpensive but jammed packed flavor in each bite. we ordered chicken biryani, shrimp biryani, momos, palak paneer, chicken noodle dish and all of it was very tasty. All Plates Are Very Generously Served With Humongous Portions Of Rice And Meat. very nice juicy chicken biryani. The rice is always such a nicely flavored, love the texture and fluffiness. my personal fave is the paneer, spinach creamy Indian cheese… awesome :) the only bad thing was that they had ran out garlic naan!!! :/BUT. The reg naan is always fluffy and delish as well. Overall very nice dinner. Btw, I used the Unilocal coupon 35 for 50. Very nicely spent. All dishes with double naan order and 5 drinks was 53 and change. So had to pay a little difference. This place rocks! Try it out

They need to hire somebody to clean up the mess on the table. Specially in weekend evening. The new big female working there does not know how to deal with people. Made me pissed off.

This place is awesome! One of my favorite Indian places in Dallas. The food is delicious, generous in portions, and the staff is super friendly. Normally I order the chicken masala, the chicken biryani, and an order of samosas. Of course this is an order for two or more. :) The nann is also really good. It’s is always soft, and warm whenever it hits the table. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Haha I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a really good masala or looking for a delicious meal that won’t break the budget. This place is definitely a favorite!

Go to the website or use the app to get coupons! Cheap prices & good food. The Naan is huge! It’s not the best service so don’t expect expensive quality service especially with the prices SOCHEAP. If service is the issue then don’t tip! I give it a 4 because they could give me a little more chicken in the chickn tikka

Okay I had to write a review because there were so many unfavorable ones. First off we drive from Keller regularly to pick up food to go. It is not a fancy or super shiny clean place but I didn’t find it to be awful either. This is a small family owned hole in the wall, not to be offensive. Sometimes these are the best places. I’m not snobby and don’t require constant upscale wining and dining. We order on a reg basis the goat Korma, Butter Chicken, chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken Biriyani. I have also enjoyed the samosas and the Mirchi badji. I have tried other dishes as well that were good but these are our favorites. The upsides are they are very reasonably priced and they have an app called hotnspicy that has coupons on it and you can also print coupons online. This makes it even more reasonable in price and I appreciate the coupons. If you want fancy pick it up and take it home light some candles and pull out your fancy table cloth.

***Warning*** The plates they serve are enough for two people! I am still navigating the world of Indian/Pakistani food and this place was on my quest list. It will stay on my list of places. Hot N Spicy is nestled in an old Albertson’s shopping center in Irving and a lot of other things have sprung up in that space. It is a small spot but full of nice people and flavor. I LOVE spicy food and this place delivers. I ordered the Chicken Biryani which is only mildly spicy. I asked for super spicy and they delivered! My sinuses clear in seconds! It was so much food, I had to get a to-go box and I have enough for a late snack or lunch the next day. I also ordered the steamed chicken dumplings. They were also very flavorful with the right amount of spices. Also too much for one person to eat in one sitting. They have a new app for Android and I think that is why they aren’t honoring the Unilocal check-in deal. Someone needs to update Unilocal! But other than that, I liked the place and will return.

Ordered 3 items chicken 65, chicken pakoda and chicken mughalai. Pakoda was horrible, it was over fried, 65 was more onions and not that tasty. Mughalai was okay.

If you are really fed-up with the tone down version of Indian food, then this is the place to go. A small place in the intersection of 183 and O’Connor blvd, it is the closest to authentic spicy Indian food we can get in DFW. They have wide varieties of veg. and non-veg items to select from and even some delicious Nepalese Momos and Choila. Amply spiced and flavorful… and very reasonably priced. Good Stuff !!

Worst restaurant I be been to on par with other worst restaurants in the US Ordered chilli chicken, chicken 65, ginger chicken can’t distinguish from one other Tastes like crap, had to throw away all of them Don’t even dare to go to this place. They won’t even accept the Unilocal coupon saying they won’t accept it although valid on Unilocal

This place is good for cheap Indian food. You order upfront and can chose between mild, medium, or spicy. I couldn’t tell much of a difference between mild or spicy. The biryani is only ok, not very flavorful, but I can justify buying it for the price. The naan is too soft for my liking so I end up only eating the edges. The boiled eggs aren’t as fresh as I would like. I could tell by the off texture like when you eat a boiled egg that’s been sitting out for a while. I like how the menu separates vegetarian items so you can easily distinguish them. If you’re on a budget and want an Indian fix I’d recommend trying this place if you’re in the area.
