Specialties
The classic barbeque joint.
Proudly serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for more than 32 years and counting, Fred’s is the premier barbeque restaurant to meet your «down home» barbeque needs.
The restaurant is cafeteria-style; grab a
tray and head down the line. Décor is timeless, with big wooden beams,
wagon wheels, ceiling fans, and ambience to provide that «authentic» experience.
It doesn’t get much more original than Fred’s.

Meet the Business Owner
Leon and Queenie B.
Business Owner
Leon and his wife, Queenie, bought Fred’s 25 years ago, from a guy named Bob. (Still no Fred!) Some people call Leon «Fred», and that’s OK with him; his mind is on the barbecue: the brisket, the sausage, the chicken, the ribs. Be grateful for his focus, for this is some of the best barbecue around and is frequently cited as a top contender among legends such as Angelo’s and Sonny Bryant’s
Fred’s offers a generous one-meat plate, called Big Bob’s. But you have to wonder what’s the point in that, when you can get a two-meat plate, the Big Tex Combo. At lunch, you can get a quarter-pound of meat with two vegetables .
The ‘Famous Fred’s Stuffed Baked Potato’ has taken Dallas by storm. Just wrap your mind around a baked potato with butter, cheese, sour cream, grilled onions and jalapenos… topped with sausage, brisket, BBQ baked beans and sauce. YES, all of that on ONE potato!
