Dallas Marriott Las Colinas

Amazing customer service. The bellmen to the room service attendants were extremely friendly, on time, and went above and beyond. Here for a work trip and will return.

Dated hotel. Decent beds and room size. Bathrooms need updating. Gym has a few cardio machines and only a 5 to 50 lb dumbbell rack.

As someone who travels weekly, this Marriott is below par. Concierge lounge food is sparse and low quality. Rooms need to be updated. Rooms are musty and AC does not work well…

Stayed here for a conference. All in all, our stay was somewhat enjoyable. The hotel itself is very nice. Great view from the 14^th floor and nice room. Very nice, large bathroom. Women should love the large countertops while getting ready.
Service in the restaurant was very slow. I had a meeting to get to and was almost late because it took 50 minutes to get our food.
On check out, I got a repeipt but the persons who I shared a room with did not. When they ask for one, the clerk told them to copy mine. I wasn’t with my friend when this happened but I ask them later if everything went ok and if they got their receipt and the said ya finally. Went on to explain the the clerk was very rude and argued with them.
Upon leaving we decided we probably won’t stay here next conference.

Came here for my cousins wedding, and what an amazing hotel for a special event. The hotel is really a eye catcher, great window and patio views.

We stayed here this past weekend and had an overall pretty nice visit. The location is next to a man made lake which means some of the rooms offer some pretty spectacular views! Mine was one of them. The huge window facing east permitted an amazing sunrise viewing. The rest of the room had some pluses and mehs. My biggest thing about a hotel is the comfy factor of the pillows, no joke this is why a simple off the freeway motel can get a 4 star rating from me, it’s all in the pillow nuzzle. These pillows unfortunately had my neck aching a bit by the end of my stay and the mattresses were super firm and uncomfortable. The bedding all seemed very clean though. The room also came with a mini fridge (which didn’t work, but as I had left overs one night and they were super sweet to change it out) and a coffee maker. Bathroom was spacious with a beautiful triple angled mirror design. Shower was pretty slow on draining so I stood in ankle deep water. Towels were large and clean but rather scratchy.
The hotel also has an indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center which all looked nice but I didn’t use them. The conference rooms were very comfortable and well attended. We were provided with breakfast and lunch during our conference and the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy. Everyone I met, either keeping us fed and watered during lecture hours or at the front desk were exceptionally hospitable, best aspect of this hotel!
There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby. I ordered room service one night and was not a fan of the salad. The food supplied to the conference varied, but overall I wasn’t really impressed with the culinary aspect.
It’s on the higher end price wise, which is maybe why I expected a bit higher quality in basics like food and linen. Even with a group discount it was a decent expense. They charge for wifi. This makes me cranky. However, it’s a beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities and hospitable service.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and was ready when I got there early. Room service was fast and the food was good. The AC made the room extremely cold despite having it set to 72. It felt a lot colder than that.

The staff here is AMAZING! Tania, Juan, and Kent were incredibly hospitable to me and my friend and made this stay absolutely fantastic. Not only were they friendly, but they went out of their way to make our stay memorable. If I’m ever in Dallas again, I will most definitely be staying here.

The staff here is excellent.
The hotel is nice and rooms clean.
I will note it’s likely the nicest hotel in the area and it’s quite large.
Couple sad things to note:
*Had hotel soap and body wash in the shower… cleaning staff took it out and replaced with new… thought that was a touch weird.
* Where the fridge was supposed to be… there wasn’t. Rest of my group had fridge’s in their rooms so not sure where mine went?
* Calling a car via the hotel staff became a bit difficult. They forgot to do once.
All in all the stay was good… I had free wifi… the bar in the lobby is nice as well.

I have had the benefit of traveling extensively and staying in many five star hotels. Those are always nice but it doesn’t take the top tier (e.g., Four Seasons) to make it an exceptional hotel stay. I look for room functionality and good service.
My reservation was booked for the wrong day. The front desk staff (on ⁹⁄₁ around 4 pm) did not make an issue and found me a room. One that was great! The room was a nice size, simple shower (which trust me is often a hassle between the shower heads that ruin your hair or figuring out how to work them) and great placement and plenty of plugs to power up! And it was quiet. That’s all I ask for and good service.
Well without going into specifics I will tell you that I ended up leaving my laptop in the hotel lobby. I realized this as soon as I checked in at the airport. My colleague immediately called the hotel and asked if they could locate the laptop (they did as we knew exactly where it was at) and bring it to me in 25 mins. My laptop was delivered in 25 minutes in a lovely town car. I am sure it had a nice ride! I was so shocked that it didn’t require follow up and they did exactly what we requested! I don’t know the name of the gentlemen at the front desk around 2 pm on 9 – 2 but he was wonderful! Gloria also was helpful at the front desk with getting my luggage and handing me a bottle of water as I ran out. Obviously a VERY hectic day.
This Marriott rocks! I am not that picky but it isn’t that often there isn’t something that is «off» and there wasn’t a beat that was missed at this hotel. I love it!

A bit more expensive than the accommodations warranted, but it’s a business district in a seller’s market (insert witty Texas joke here)
Room Service was fast. Everyone who worked here was tremendously polite. The room was clean and quiet, even with a balcony room 2 floors up from their outdoor bar/​patio on the lake (balcony by request so I could be Alive with pleasure from Newports!) Net/​Net is Ill be back to visit my client nearby and likely stay here as it’s a corporate approved hotel. I just wish they had Cuervo instead of Sauza. In N Out burger was only a mile away so yeah, there’s that as well.

As a frequent traveler, and a Marriott regular, this is one of the nicest business hotel stays I can remember in quite some time!

I stayed here about 10 days ago for a business meeting. I arrived late from my connecting but delayed flight from Atlanta. I was famished by the time I got to the Marriott at 1130 pm. I checked-​in and inquired about food. They said the kitchen was closed so there was no more room service. I saw that the bar was open so I asked if I could order there instead. Again, he said there was absolutely no food but I could buy alcohol! Wow. NO food? That floored me. He said I can order pizza for delivery. Now that was a ridiculous suggestion. Why would I get a whole pizza for myself and if I did, by the time I got to my room and made the phone call and everything, the pizza would have been delivered by 1230 am or later. I cannot believe a Marriott would let this happen to any of their guests. I thought this was a hospitality business. If I were running this facility I would have made a vending machine available for those late guests. Or even, offer a complimentary small snack to those late arriving guests. Believe me a small packet of chips, peanuts or pretzels would have made a difference. I am diabetic and had to have something. I ended up eating a packet of sugar and drinking the half n half creamer packets that night from their coffee nook. Just a bad experience.

They seriously need a courtesy shuttle or vehicle. The property is not near many restaurants, and they few within walking distance is still quite a hike. The concierge lounge is a joke and the food is disgusting. It taste like cheap bar food. This hotel seriously needs some renovations. Doesn’t seem like its up to par for the Marriott hotel brand.

Marriott is just OK. The lobby’s nice, but it is not up to Marriott standards.
The rooms are comfortable and nice, but I think the room temperature doesn’t work very well. It’s hard to adjust down or up. Additionally the rooms are old and in need of a remodel. Secondly, they don’t have a mini fridge and can’t bring you one. I called once to save my leftovers and they said «oh sorry, we’re out. nothing we can do to help.» They don’t offer anything complimentary (and basic) in the room like water — you have to get access to the concierge lounge to get it.
The hotel itself lacks basic amenities, like forgotten toiletries for travelers (i.e. contact solution) and doesn’t have a 24 hour store where you can buy it on site. Additionally, this hotel is basically in a business park in Las Colinas, so there’s really nothing around where you can get stuff you need if you have forgotten. Additionally, this hotel lacks any sort of transportation service (which is unheard of for the Irving/​Las Colinas area) — I’ve stayed at 3 others in this area that all offer some form of a transportatoin service.
The staff isn’t particularly helpful and I have 2 interactions to cite this opinion. 1) They don’t know the rate specifics so rarely set you up with all the perks negotiated in the rate. People are missing out on the benefits negotiated with them. 2) Every single time I’ve called to ask a question about modifying a reservation, finding a room, etc. they cannot help me so I do it online myself.

Hotel was very nice! Staff extremely friendly and help full. We stayed here a week and enjoyed every minute. The parking is set up strange but its not awful. The pool was hilariously dumb not even a full lane to swim in which was strange. I couldn’t under stand why there would be such a small pool.
Also the toilet location in my bathroom was so strange! But over all it was a nice stay!

It was TX/​OU wkend at the state fair, so of course all the hotels near downtown were all booked up. Found this place on
and they had good reviews for an okay price. Went for it and really had nothing bad to say about this place. We had a great lake view from the room to watch the sunrise and the service was good. They do have free parking and surprisingly, a pretty big garage, so you have covered or uncovered options. I do like they had a pretty spacious bathroom with a three angled mirror, which was unique. I think the only gripe was that they haven’t actually upgraded anything, it’s still the small tvs and the control didn’t work that well. The lounge was pretty big and nice. They even had daily flavored water. This place was a bit better than your usual Marriotts, so If you’re not looking for anything fancy and want a solid hotel, this wouldn’t be a bad option. The lakeview bumped it up, personally, for me.

We had a room with a balcony and the view was amazing! Overlooked Lake Carolyn and Williams Square.
The front desk and bell staff were amazing.
That’s it.
The rooms are outdated for the price you pay
We ate breakfast in their dining area and the customer service was ok, with the exception of the guy making the omelettes. He was rude and had a terrible attitude.
I’d stay there again for the view from the balcony, but I will choose to dine elsewhere

Stayed there for the Play Tri triathlon in June. Totally solid hotel for a stay!
Positives:
–The beds were comfy
–The room was good size and had a nice view of the sunset
–They accommodated a bunch of triathlon dorks incredibly well, hosting not only the expo before the race, but the race itself was in the lake right outside and transition was set up in their parking lot.
Negatives:
–Room service got our order wrong twice. They did comp the item, so no real complaints, but a turkey sandwich shouldn’t be so hard.
–My grilled cheese sandwich cost 16 bucks. I’m talking about a piece of cheese and two slices of bread. I ordered it off the kids menu which showed 8 bucks. Apparently they charged me double for being an adult?
So, staying here is awesome. You just might skip the room service.
