Fantastic authentic Thai food. My wife and I have been coming here for a couple of years. Always freash, quality, consistent food. They get very busy around lunchtime during the week. Once you have a table the food comes quickly. Highly recommend.

First visit here, and no real reason to go back. The menu ranks heat level from 0 to 3 peppers. I ordered the Red Fried Rice, and the exchange with the waitress was nearly identical to the following: «And how spicy would you like that?» «At *least* 3 peppers.» «4?» “Sure. 5 if you’ve got it. Just tell the chef to really hate me.” «…I’ll bring the spice rack.» The Red Fried Rice, described on the menu as «spicy fried rice with Thai roasted chili paste, eggs, tomatoes, carrots, and onions» arrived with the heat level of ketchup. And when I say this, I don’t mean that *I* didn’t find it spicy — I truly mean that practically *no one* would have found it spicy. Other than the reddish tinge to the dish, I have no real reason to believe there was red chili paste in the dish. When this concern was raised with the waitress, we were then informed that their scale on the point-of-sale system ranges from 1 – 20 for heat level, and this might be why it wasn’t spicy. That still doesn’t explain how the dish my wife ordered(at a heat level of 2) was noticeably hotter than mine. While the argument could be made that I got exactly what I asked for, the previous exchange about how spicy I would like my food should ATTHEVERYLEAST have prompted a quick discussion about the discrepancy in scales between the menu and their order entry system to gain clarification on how spicy I really wanted it. But even without that discussion, it is plainly obvious that I was expecting my food to melt my face off, and the waitress understood this — why else would the spice rack be offered had she not understood my expectations? At any rate, nothing was done about it either by re-firing the order or on the bill, and we paid way too much for a mediocre Thai dinner for 2. We were each handed a 20% off discount coupon for our next visit(which they were handing out to everyone, so this was not recompense), which I passed to my wife to throw away at her convenience. The fried rice was cooked in a fashion that wouldn’t kill someone, and the staff was courteous(if not exactly responsive to the idea of customer service), which is why I’m rating this place as 2 stars. 1.5 is a closer approximation, but our Unilocal overlords don’t give us that option. The staff also did not seem knowledgeable about the food or beverage options — I overheard one customer asking about what Thai beers were sold(according to the menu, Chang and Singha), and that she was looking for a darker beer(neither of these fit that description); the waiter offered up a suggestion of Sapporo(a Japanese light lager). There were only 3 tables occupied on a Friday night. The restaurant feels like it’s either in it’s death throes or undergoing a transition in staff. Las Colinas has too many other restaurants to choose from to put forth this lack of effort and stay in business.

This spot hit the spot! If you are looking for tasty Thai in Las Colinas hit this place up. Good basics with nice presentation, friendly wait staff, and smiling owners. They have a happy hour and the place was clean, stylish, and fast!

Went here for lunch. Started with an ice tea… that took a while to bring to the table. The rice soup was actually good. It came with an egg roll. Ordered the pork pad thai. It was very dry and tasted super sweet. It’s almost like they put sweet and sour sauce in it or something. Every time my tea was bone dry empty, I had to flag the server down. She was not checking on my table at all. Lastly, the price. a pad thai and an ice tea with tip should not be 15 bucks for lunch. There are much better and cheaper places in the area. I won’t be back.

Great Customer Service! Happy hour all day on Saturday & Sunday! Could improve a little bit more on the food but not bad.

First visit here, but it won’t be my last! I met some of my work friends for lunch here today and I was impressed. The place is inviting without being overdone and we were welcomed from first walking in the door. Even though they were busy from a large lunch crowd we were seated quickly and our waiter, Jacob, appeared shortly thereafter. The service was great! We started out with crispy chicken spring rolls and they were fried perfectly and tasted delicious. My main course was pad see ew and it was at least as good as some of my favorite ones in the Dallas area. The others at the table all enjoyed their meals as well.

Warm welcome from Mr. Poet and his wife. A comfortable local place to hang out with my dear friend. We appreciate the extended happy hour until 9pm. If you’re nice Mr. Pote will let you pour your own.

This was one of the best thai places 5 years back. I used to go here for lunch with my colleagues and friends all the time. But I had terrible experiences last 4 – 5 times. If you are planning to go their for your lunch break, make sure you have a 2 hour lunch break because every time me and my colleagues went there for lunch we were stuck there for more than an hour. This does not include waiting time. The quality of food also has gone down in the last 5 years. I haven’t visited them for last 6 months so don’t know if things changed.

This place has a really nice vibe to it and I was excited to try it! The service was perfect and our orders were out pretty quick. I enjoyed my Thai tea and drunken noodles with chicken… And everyone else seemed to like their food as well. It’s by no means the best Thai food around but it’s a good value, clean and quick and I wouldn’t mind going again!

For what it is, which is inexpensive Thai food in a mall in Texas, it is PERFECT. Immaculately clean. Very friendly, professional service and delicious, affordable food. Family owned, it looked like two or three generations were there at the same time. We had the crab avocado rolls, which were oddly delicious. Vegetable stir fries. Pad Thai and a shredded carrot side dish. They ask you on a 1 – 3 for your spice preference. I chose 2 for my stir fry. It was fiery in a good way. A cheerful, pleasant, tasty spot. If we lived here, I’m sure we would be regulars.

Had lunch here with a friend recently and had a solid food experience. We ate family style so that we could try two of their dishes instead of getting just one dish. I was very pleased with the food and the speed for the lunch rush was pretty good. We had the Druken Master other wise know as pad see-eew. This is one of my favorite Thai dishes and this one reminded me why I like it. The sweet spicy sauce and the flat rice noodles are the perfect canvas for the flavors of garlic and chili to provide a burst of flavors. We also got the green curry which was flavorful and spicy. We did not go crazy with the spices, and yet felt like it came out with the right flavors. The rice that is served with the curry comes out in the unique sculpted cone and the presentation was very nice. I would share that there seemed to be a lot of wait staff, but the service did not stick out in my mind during the visit. I was also shocked when I stepped outside to see their company vehicle. I guess that the restaurant is tied to a restaurant that I had reviewed very negatively in the past and has closed in Southlake. They are doing a better job here on the food than they did in Southlake, but makes for an interesting story to follow.

Always fresh and flavorful!!! This time we tried the avocado crab roll and crispy spring roll: that was so good!!! Served with a sweet green sauce for the avocado/crab and peanut clear sauce with crispy roll… Yum! Then, I got the roasted drunken duck with big flat noodles, that was awesome!!! Very nice and discreet service. I highly recommend that place.

The two times I have been to this place during lunch has yielded the same results– tasty food but poor service. The owners seem very nice and helpful but I feel the staff is unprepared for such a large lunch rush. I waited 7 mins before being approached by a server this afternoon. Luckily my companion was running late so it didn’t matter too much, but I at least wanted some water. When my companion arrived, she asked the server to suggest something. He stated, and I quote, «that’s not my job». Uh, it most certainly is your job, sir! Also, when she asked him how high the spicy levels went, he said 20! Hah! Yeah, I’ll have a spicy level 17 please… My noodle salad was delicious so I will be back for take out.

I came here after church one Sunday with a pretty big group and it took close to an hr before our food came out. They say hunger is the best sauce and all of us devoured our food, but I don’t think that quote refers to restaurants making their patrons wait. Service: 1 The restaurant was so understaffed that they had a server join in to help cook. That unfortunately not only meant our food was delayed, but so were refills on water. Food: 3 Food was actually pretty decent. My go to at a Thai place is pad kew mow. Their’s was actually pretty decent, but lacking in heat.

Pad Thai was super oily and salty. I got Level 3 spiciness, but didn’t feel a thing. My sister’s yellow curry was maybe worth eating, but I don’t think I’ll be returning. If you’re going to leave the receipt so we can pay early, perhaps you ought to check on it periodically so we don’t have to wait.

Had lunch today here with a friend. I had no idea where we were going but I was pleasantly surprised once I saw the building and realized it was Thai food. I don’t remember the name of my dish but absolutely delicious is what I call it! It consisted of noodles, broccoli, egg, and beef. I thought about getting shrimp and scallops but I am half I stuck with the beef, perhaps next time. The restaurant is nice and clean, the people are very nice. Our waiter was very informative, polite, and professional, I wish I remembered his name, Hispanic guy, he was great! On the way out an older man asked how everything was and I happily replied, «wonderful!» I’ll definitely be coming back here and I’ll bring friends along! Prices are totally reasonable and the quality of food is wonderful.

It was… ok. Would return and try again! As many have reviewed there are some pretty bad Thai places around and Blu Ginger is owned by owners who know what they are doing and care. Came here for lunch and has the jalapaleno fried rice(hottest they could make it, 3 chillies). It was ok — a little salty for my taste and not spicy enough but has good flavor, lots of chicken and flavor was throughout(some poorly fried rice out there folks!). Blu Ginger has some really good looking noodle dishes, which I think I will try next. Based on first experience, didn’t wow me but certainly want to try more of what they got!

Food(3⁄5) I came in with some coworkers for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We came in shortly after 12, and it was packed. It didn’t take long for us to get seated though. I had ordered the pad thai lunch special with chicken at spicy level 3, which is the spiciest level on their menu. The lunch special comes with complimentary soup and egg roll, so that was a nice plus. The pad thai, however, was not super memorable nor was it really spicy. It was more sweet than anything, and the lime slice provided with my meal was pretty measly… I couldn’t squeeze any juice out of my lime :(Overall, the food isn’t terrible but it’s not great either. Service(0⁄5) Our waitress was snappy and MIA, which made for a really poor lunch experience. It took 10 minutes after seating for our waitress to show up and take our order, and then it took another 10 minutes afterwards for her to bring our waters. No smile, no apologies for our wait. She just drops off the water, the entrée, and then she leaves promptly. A table beside us was seated after us, yet their waiter was always there for them, and they ultimately received their food before us. The only thing I could say our waitress was fast at was bringing me the check and closing out the bill. So basically she was slow on everything else except when it came to taking my money. Atmosphere(4⁄5) Admittedly, Blu Ginger has a modern looking dining room. Chopsticks are cute and colorful, tables are set with fresh flowers. There’s an outdoor patio as well for those who wish to sit outside. Bottom Line Food was okay. Service was terrible(maybe we had bad luck with our waitress?). Atmosphere is pretty good. I wouldn’t come here on my own volition. I’d probably only stop by if my coworkers wanted to grab lunch from here again.
