The worst apartment I have ever lived in. I was sold on the location and the price but like that say you get what you pay for. There have been several cars broken into, mine included, and stolen and the management has done nothing to make the parking garage more safe. Also the hallways and elevator smell like pot or dog pee depending on what day it is. I also had my AC unit go out 5 times before they just went ahead and replaced the whole unit. Since trash is out of hand you get roaches and ants no matter how clean you leave your apartment. The only good things I can say about this place are that JD is awesome, Having Lake Carolyn, and the maintenance staff is pretty quick to respond. I would not move here at all and I have told anyone I know that is looking to steer clear of this place.

This is the worst place ever to live. It looks nice on the outside but beware of THEFT. I spoke to the Irving Police Department and was told this place had a high rate of THEFT. Within the past year my truck has been BROKEN INTO 2X and my roommate had their tailgate STOLEN from their truck. The parking garages are not safe whatsoever. Even though This place touts «limited access» to charge renters more money. Its a farce since there is no security patrol and the gated entry to the apartments are seldom locked or working! This week my bicycle was also STOLEN! The cable was cut and it was removed from the bike racks right outside of the elevators. DO NOT RENT HERE! Do not even think about it! Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache! Read the real reviews. The name has changed but nothing else has.

So, I’ve been living here for a month now and I have finally decided to share my own experience as well as honest review about this place, as I could have only wished the same were available to me upon signing the lease. Correspondingly, I paid a down deposit as well as an application fee in the beginning of December 2015 on an apartment that had piqued my interest, although I had never seen it due to it being in the process of «renovation.» Moreover, the down deposit was necessary in order to hold the apartment in my name. Fast forward to February, my move-​in date was 02/​15/​2016, but due to the apartment being unfinished, the move-​in date was pushed back to 02/​17/​2016. Prior to moving in, I was finally able to view the finished apartment the day before our new move-​in date which was 02/​16/​2016. Right off the bat, I noticed several superficial mistakes with the apartment such as the: dirtiness, paint streaks on the floors, messy paint job, graut marks on the walls, and a kitchen drawer that was unable to open all the way. Overall, it was evident that the renovations were rushed and it looked as though they worked on the apartment in less than a week when they had about 2 months and a half to work on it. Other than those first initial problems and after notifying two leasing agents about them, they had reassured me that they will have them fixed by the following day which was also the day I was set to move-​in. With their reassurance and adamance, I decided to follow through with signing the lease contract. Following the next day of which I began to move-​in, all heck broke loose and the minor problems seemed to have grown into bigger headaches as well as issues.
Upon the very first day of moving-​in, I noticed that the toilet was leaking from underneath the tank and that none of the problems that they had previously assured me would be fixed had been resolved. A few days later I found water seeping through the balcony door into my apartment, while it was raining outside. The maintenance guy exclaimed that they «plan to replace all the balcony doors within the next week or so.» To this day, water continues to seep through whenever it rains and I have yet to have a new door. Following the misshapen door, the shower head was not installed properly as water would sprinkle from behind the shower head and get all over the floor.
Day after day, I seemed to have experience as well as find new problems with my apartment, which has made this whole move-​in process frustrating and a nightmare. In short, I could go on and describe every problem I have encountered thus far after only having been living here a month; and everyday has been a struggle to get this rushed apartment improved. In essence, I do love the area/​location as it is right on Lake Carolyn and the one thing the apartment has done right so far is immediately answering to service requests.
PROS: Area/​location, Lake Carolyn, Answers to service requests on same day

There is absolutely no excuse for a newly owned apartment complex to do an undeniably poor remodeling job on a new apartment, especially with several months notice. For the price they offer here, I advise you all to please diligently look at your prospective apartment before signing the lease as well as doing a lot of research.

I currently live here the area is nice the apt are not bad but the constant construction is horrible!!! If you like waking up at 8 am even if you don’t work normal hours then move here. If you love the sound of power tools over everyday life then it’s a great place for you. called the office and even though I am a good tenant pay my rent on time in full they refuse to do anything about any off it. DONT MOVE HERE ! You pay for what you get! SO MANY BETTER PLACES IN LAS COLINAS DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I give this property five starts mainly for JD, he is the best leasing agent anyone can ask for I’m sure he will go far in his career, he has soo much to teach others, unfortunately his great personality is something he will not be able to pass on. He truly took stress off my shoulders helping me move here, I wish we could duplicate JD. The property is going thru a renovation, that is worth waiting to see the final product. Is a beautiful property that needs a lot of polish, but living here makes you feel a European atmosphere.

With the millions of dollars Lincoln Property is spending, Alesio is going to boom! Make sure you ask for JD, I send all of my clients to him and he does a wonderful job leasing each clients I send. Lived here 1 year, it is now getting overrun by section 8 type housing and candidates. Trash everywhere. Haven’t done any work to the hallways in years. I also live on the third story, no elevator… Lol enough said. The parking lot by my unit smells so bad of garbage I gag every time I walk/​run to my car, my guests even refuse to park there. People that aren’t residents come to party at the pool, blast music, smoke pot and get hammered; then leave the place a mess.
Also, don’t expect your mail. The mailman/​leasing office will not leave a slip that you have a package waiting for you, and will send it back if you don’t pick it up in time. We’re not mind readers and some packages are unexpected, please take 2 seconds to notify us.
But on a good note there are some great staff people, mostly just JD. And a couple of the maintenance guys if you speak to them directly they will help right away. I can see the effort the new management is trying to put forth but this place is going so down hill. Everyone I have spoken to are getting out as soon as they can, including myself. I wish this place the best of luck because it truly is in a gorgeous location on the water and has so much potential that has yet been met.

I can’t say enough good things about Alesio’s leasing staff. JD especially went above and beyond to help my husband and me with our move. Alesio is in the transition of changing management companies and my only complaint is that you cannot call the office directly. However the staff was thorough in following up with us and readily help us anytime we come into the office.

I’ve been a resident at Alesio Urban Center (formerly The Shores at Las Colinas) for two years. I hadn’t always had the best experience with (The Shores) management, but the (Alesio) community has been purchased by a large national company, and they’re turning things around. They’ve addressed issues we’ve brought up, and are working hard to improve the community. This property is really large though, and it seems like it’s a challenge to manage everything. It’s nice being by lake Carolyn, and it’s conveniently located. The community is pretty diverse too, and that’s great. They’re also pet and animal friendly here!
