History

Established in 2005.

Our family law firm focusing primarily on divorce cases started in San Diego in 2005 and expanded to Orange County and Irvine in 2009. Our managing attorney Brian Mullen is a veteran family law attorney with superb experience and skill.

Manager

Mr. Mullen practices family law for the firm, handling all facets of the family law practice area from straightforward negotiation and preparation of pleadings to complex divorce litigation. He has tried many divorce cases in front of many of the Orange County Family Law judges, and he has years and years of experience. He also routinely handles paternity, domestic abuse and move away cases (including international move away matters).

I have been separated since September 2012 and i tried to get my divorce finalized and after two attorneys and incompetence from the other parties attorney it delayed everything. When I came to Bryan with my problem he found solutions and his staff is by far the best. Great customer service, attention to detail and can do attitude which made me feel like i had a great team with my interest in mind. It was settled and mediated without any problems. In July 2015 i was free to make better plans with my daughters and no restrictions from the other party. I highly recommend Bryan, Cheryl, and Dollie to all your family dispute needs.

I just wanted to write a review about Andrew Tran. He is the most wonderful attorney! Andrew took the time to answer all my questions even though he was very busy. He was thorough, honest, Andrew was supportive and was the attorney that got the job done. We worked so hard for the truth. I could never, ever of won my case without him! Even though the first part of my case is taken care of, we still have unfinished parts of my case that he is still working on. He’s still working just as hard for me and my family. Andrew is the one I turn to with questions no matter how small, he has a brilliant answer. He is also very patient with me. He has brilliant decisions and what my next step should to be. I will never forget the day we went to court, Andrew was professional, well dressed, kind, knowledgeable and got me and my family what we deserved. He negotiated even though it wasn’t necessary but was the right thing to do. I will never forget how patient he was with me the day and night before court :). I was stressing but he calmed me down and everything worked out. Thank you Andrew for you efforts, hard work and winning my case for my family and I! I will always appreciate you! My experience was not very good. I hired the firm for my domestic partner dissolution, child custody visitation. Over all my case was handled poorly by the attorneys on the case. Brian Mullen made a rookie mistake in court by not writing up a supposed agreed upon stipulation while we were in court, which ended up costing me when the agreement was never signed later. I was then handed off to a very inexperienced associated who was very nice and tried but just didn’t have the experience to handle my case and opposing counsel. I ended up signing a poorly worded order that was pretty much written by opposing counsel for my ex. I agreed to the terms, but the wording of what I agreed is what was terrible and causes so many gray areas and loopholes I had to go back to court (with a new attorney) to fight to see my son and spend even more money on attorney’s fees.

I was represented by Matthew in a post divorce alimony issue. They all seemed friendly & competent. Matthew said I was sure to recieve alimony. When in court, I didn’t feel Matthew spoke up and was not aggressive enough. My income is difficult to estimate and the opposing party fed on that. I lost the case which nobody I know thought would happen, Matthew even said he didn’t see that coming… Then speak up before it happens! I’m out thousands which I can’t afford, receive no alimony (seriously, married 27 years and he makes twice my income) I cant recommend this firm.

For circumstances beyond their control, my attorney switched to Brian towards the end of my case but he did not miss a step. Brian is very quick and clever and was great during trial. During a very emotional and challenging time in my life, Wilkinson & Finkbeiner’s staff was supporting, understanding and most importantly very thorough with the details of my case. Brian Mullen, most importantly explained and helped me to understand each step of the way and guide me to best decisions for me and my family. Our situation ended up working out and again with the help of Brian and his staff he assisted with a postnuptial. Our family is once again back together which is an exception in these days. What once started to be the very worst time of my life ended up to be very positive reconciliation with my husband. Wilkinson & Finkbeiner handled a very complex case of mine with integrity and precision. W&F allowed me to go on with my day to day life without letting this case consume me.
W&F always respond to my emails and phone calls promptly which is more than I can say for the previous law offices I have hired.
W&F truly cared about the outcome of my case and I never felt that they were only in it for the money.
They went out of their way to help me and even did a lot of work without billing me for it!
