Jose was great! He returned my initial call within hours and scheduled an estimate for the next day. He showed up promptly & gave me an estimate on the spot. He followed up with a detailed summary of the work to be performed and expressed appreciation for the opportunity. I was totally impressed with his politeness and professionalism. I had made a couple of calls to other waterproofing companies and have never heard back from any of them. I didn’t have other bids to compare. My only comparison was with my painter who offered to water seal the cracks and deck for about half the cost of Jose’s more thorough job. Jose’s work included a resin/​cement coat topped off with a higher grade waterproofing coat. Jose offered to schedule dates within a couple of weeks so I went with him and was really glad I did. I had Westcoast Waterproofing come out to fix a front balcony that was improperly fixed and has continued to leak for the past few years. Jose walked me through the process during the estimate and explained everything in detail. He answered every question I had and was always readily accessible. Jose was so professional, always on time and prepared. I got three estimates and I went with West Coast not just because it was the lesser of the three but also he told me I didn’t need the plywood, which was another 1,000 and I needed to resize my railing so I didn’t have issues with rot later on, the other companies didn’t inform me of the problem. He also accessed the balcony without coming into the house which wasn’t easy but I totally appreciated and helped me find a color that would compliment my stucco. Also painted the railing that had to have some railing added. He just went over and above what you would expect. He has tons of pictures of other jobs that helped me understand the process too.
