I have those moments when I crave a Garden Burger and oh man does Veggie Grill do Garden Burgers right! I’m pretty sure it’s not as healthy as a salad, but I can always«pretend» it’s healthier than regular burgers out there! And it’s THE perfect size to fill up my empty stomach! I always get a side of sweet potato fries with my combo and I like to dip it in agave sometimes(I know that sounds weird but it works). I wish there was one in Orange — I would totally go to VG more often if it was closer!

I used to like this place but then I went the other day with my sister– We were waiting and waiting with our table number in plain sight, and after 15 minutes a waiter comes to us asking what we ordered. I told him our order number and pointed to the number on he table but he said, «no what did you order» and we had to repeat. Turns out it was ready but had been sitting out for a long time. Fries were cold, and at that point I just wanted to leave so I did not ask for a refund. Maybe they would have given a refund but I did not ask. the place is slow you would think they could get out their food much quicker. Also tables are dirty.

The food was delicious and there was a lot of healthy options. We got the grilled chicken wrap and buffalo bomber wrap. The were both very good. The white bean and kale soup was also Deelish. The staff were very friendly also! We will be back!

Ah veggie grill… how I wish I lived closer to you so I could enjoy your food every week. I’ve been an avid veggie grill lover for years now but I just recently visited this location. I really liked the ambience and set up of the whole restaurant. It was very clean, well lit, and comfortable. And the servers were very accommodating and helpful when picking out items on the menu. I only found out recently that this was an ALLVEGAN restaurant. I thought for the longest time that this was just vegetarian, but I was so glad to learn that I was wrong. I am in love with their quinoa burger with avocados… not the best veggie burger I’ve had but it hits one of the top. I wasn’t that big of a fan of their mac and cheese but it wasn’t horrible either. The portions here aren’t too bad and the prices are okay. If I lived closer I could see myself coming here on the weekly or so to get my burger fix.

So I have always loved vegan food, and this one is right by my house. So yesterday my husband and I went here for lunch, it was busy but had very quick service. There was a mess up in the kitchen and they forgot to make my husbands lunch, the cashier who was on his break at the time saw this and went to the kitchen to try to handle it(I believe his name was Omar according to the receipt) anyways he got it handled got the food brought out and had our meal refunded entirely. He didn’t have to do any of this, he only had a 15 minute break to eat and still took care of us, I appreciated it so much I paid it forward and gave him a $ 10. Everyone there was so kind, and they serve alcohol so I will be coming back shortly!!! Great staff here!

Trust me, it’s very unlike me to go to a vegetarian place. I’m a huge carnivore and the thought of meat substitute just isn’t very enticing. Surprisingly, what I ordered here was pretty good. I had the Buffalo ‘wings’ and Yukon fries. I mean come on, cover anything in Buffalo sauce and it’s going to be good. The texture was as close to meat as it could have been. The Yukon fries were crispy and thick cut. Overall, a good meal that you don’t feel too guilty about.

Really great food, really mediocre prices. Have tried several things on the menu, from the cauliflower, nachos, chicken sandwich, kids chicken nuggets, to the Tofu Banh Mi salad; and everything is delicious. The lemonade and tea selection is also very good. Wish there was something like this close to where I lived. Service was kind and prompt also. Steve

+ Banh Mi Salad + Quinoa Burger I don’t know how to tell you any better without echoing the words of the previous reviews, but you know already that it’s vegetarian by the title, and the average rating shows that people do enjoy it. It’s great food — boyf is vegetarian and I feel like it’s never a trade-off when we have dinner here. I find it filling. I really like their drink options which seem to switch out every now and then. The menu has a great sense of variety, so there should be something there for everyone.

I love Veggie Grill because i feel guilt-free eating here(LOL). However, — On the PRICIER side, considering the small portion size for some of their dishes. — Every time I come to this location, our order gets messed up and i’m not sure why. We always call in for a take-out order and whenever we get home, either(1) completely wrong order or(2) side dish is missing. Now regarding the food: + BANHMISALAD: is DELICIOUS. I mean I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life. I love kale, which is the base for this salad dish. The tofu is the perfect texture and has a sweetness from the glaze. I love the dressing. I love the pickled carrots. I love the mushrooms. I LOVETHISSALAD(5 stars). + KALESOUP: I imagined that this soup would be really bland tasting when I ordered it. But to my surprise it was really well seasoned and delicious. Tasted like a milestone soup with kale in it.(3.5 stars) + Fried PEAS: Yes Please! It is so good! Their sweet potato fries are also equally delicious. I can eat this forever. BUT i do wish it was BAKED, so I don’t feel greasy and gross after. I think what makes their fried appetizers delicious is their DIPPINGSAUCES. The sauce that comes with the fried peas is SOOOGOOOD. I licked every inch of this sauce from the togo container! It’s that good!(5 stars) — Veggie QUINOABURGER:(so we didn’t order this, we asked for the Quinoa Bowl but we did’t check our order in store and only realized when we got home). NONETHELESS, this burger was not good. It had a funny sweet and grainy taste to it. Never ordered this and won’t be ordering it again.(1 star) — Strawberry Lemonade: ehhh… TOOSWEET and don’t like drinking the seeds of the strawberry. Tasted too artificial.(1 star)

I came here for the first time on a Thursday afternoon around 2, there was only one person up front. It wasn’t busy, but he could use some help. There weren’t any forks. But I promptly got one after asking. I ordered the crispy chick’n plays with seasonal veggies. It was AMAZING. so full of flavor, chicken was perfectly crispy, great texture, mashed potatoes and gravy were super, veggies were perfectly sautéed and seasonings were on point. Even the drinks were great. I opted for the ginger hibiscus tea. Excellent. Will definitely be back with my friends! :)))))

I have been to this Veggie Grill more than a few times and never had any issues with the food or the customer service. In fact, they seem to go above and beyond. In one instance, after an uncomfortable misunderstanding with one of their employees, my order was automatically comped, which I greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend their quinoa power salad, it’s a nutritious favorite of mine. Before going vegan, it was commonplace for me to indulge in a certain fast food burger chain at least once a week. It would seem hard to give that up, but their quinoa and veggie burger is amazing and so is their Veggie Grill cheeseburger. The Veggie Grill cheeseburger tastes EXACTLY like a real burger. I can’t even tell the difference! Very happy that eating out as a vegan doesn’t have to mean giving up delicious food. Thanks to Veggie Grill, it just means healthier substitutes that taste even better!

Parking sucks! Good times for sure during the lunch hours! O_o Spacious indoor dining; smaller canopied outdoor seating. Similar to Native Foods, the Veggie Grill offers plenty of vegan /plant-based protein options. The menu changes periodically. Currently loving their Glazed Tofu salad. Also, the Glazed Tofu Banh Mi is delectable! This brainchild of co-founders Pillan & Boylan seriously saved me from messing up my perfectly pristine gourmet kitchen since 2007 :-p Huzzah! Eat your veggies, people!

Let me just put this out there: I LOVE Veggie Grill. I was introduced to this place a few years ago by an old coworker for lunch and after I tried the chickin plate, everything else was history. Haha. Can’t stop, won’t stop! The cravings are real. The crispy ‘chicken’ topped with mushroom gravy atop a bed of cauliflower/potato mash is divine. Paired with steamed kale with a miso dressing, I’m in heaven. Since returning endlessly when cravings strike, I tried out the All Hail Kale per Julie H’s recommendation. Instead of her fav with grilled chicken, I opted for tempeh instead. The kale was crisp and the papaya dressing was very light. It was an interesting mixture I would try again, but perhaps with grilled chicken next time. Since introducing this to coworkers, it’s a biweekly ritual. Now that I go more often, I’m trying to tackle the rest of the menu. Anybody got some great recs?

This is the first Veggie Grill location that I’d ever tried. My first time here, for some unknown reason, the food was really slow although Veggie Grill was kinda empty. I had the mini wrap and the All Hail Kale salad. The wrap was just ok, but that salad was so good! It seems so simple, but it is so tasty! I came back again several more times and brought my bf. However, each of the times we’ve gone back, Veggie Grill seems to be kind of hit or miss! We’ve gotten the Mondo Nachos, Santa Fe Chick’n Sandwich, Banh Mi Sandwich, and they’re either all delicious, or all just kind of bland. Maybe depending on the shift, the chef/workers are really good or not so good… Veggie Grill isn’t exactly cheap either, so if you get a not-so-good dish, well that just sucks! Mondo Nachos is one of T’s go-to items. I’ve gotten the Banh Mi as a salad, a sandwich, and a sandwich wrapped in lettuce. It’s one of my favorites, when they make it well! There are lots of tasty looking dishes, and I really want to try so many of them, but I keep going back to the banh mi! Make sure you use the Veggie Grill app! For signing up, you get a special treat, and each time you go, you can accumulate points towards more delicious veggie grill items! Veggie Grill is great for vegetarians(stating the obvious I suppose) and has become one of my favorite go-to spots to eat, but I think the Jamboree location might be better.

Veggie Grill is a great answer for Vegetarian in Irvine. Some weekends(such as last) I totally fall into a culinary trap and and eat everything that comes in front of me that sparks interest. Foie Gras, Bone Marrow, Sweetbreads, Kimcheese Burgers… you get the idea. When Monday comes around I realize I need a meat vacation and places such as Veggie Grill and Native Foods become my mainstays along with exercise. I have tried a large segment of the menu at this point and seem to only order one item after over a year worth of patronage: The B-Wing Salad. An unlikely favorite since I consider myself a Buffalo Wing professional but I will admit that this dish feels a lot like I am cheating. Chopped Romaine, Celery and Avocado is donned with a Tomato/Corn Salsa and a Ranch Dressing and the lot of it is crowned by the Pièce De Résistance: 5 or 6 «B-Wings». Somehow Veggie Grill figured out a way to make soybeans have both the mouthfeel and relative flavor of Chicken, down to the crispy, chewy and absorbent skin. It had me do a double take. «Meatless should not be this easy» I said to myself but alas, I actually enjoyed the faux-wings. On par with Duff’s, Anchor Bar or Runyon’s? Well, hell no. But undoubtedly a quarter of the caloric and fat imprint. The rest of the menu for the most part tastes like Vegan kibble, but I have no problem suggesting the B-Wing Salad to anyone interested! Veggie Grill truly is A-Okay.

I’ve heard great things about Veggie Grill and decided to give it a try when I was close by to one. Parking was shared within a lot but it wasn’t difficult to find around 11:30am when we arrived. There was no line and only about 3 other parties inside. I guess no one eats lunch that early! I was a little confused since there is somewhat of an island which holds menus in the center and no line signage so we weren’t sure whether we should walk around the island or not! Plenty of booth seating, high tables and even patio seating available. Bombay Bowl($ 8.95): Quinoa, beans, veggies, almonds on a bed of steamed kale with green cilantro/curry sauce. First things first, the sauce is absolutely AMAZING. I would have never thought of using curry sauce as dressing but i’m not complaining! Everything went very well together and definitely gets you full ¾ of the way with the grains. Almonds add a nice crunch and taste to the bowl. B-Wing Salad($ 10.75): Romaine salad with avocado, celery, corn salsa and ranch dressing with the buffalo«chicken.» The chicken itself was really tender and delicious! You could tell it wasn’t the real thing but it was a different type of good. Everything else about the salad was too average. There wasn’t much corn salsa added to the salad. Wish there was a little more jazz within the dish. I would definitely be back to try the quinoa power salad and the other bowls! *Utensils, hot sauce, water, etc located on the left of the cashier!
