Dr. Nguyen has been my dermatologist for a few years, and I have to say I will not choose to go anywhere else for a dermatologist.
Andrea and the other PAs are really knowledgeable and attentive to me and my skin needs. If you’re looking for a dermatologist in the Orange County area, I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen. The office one of the nicest I have ever been too and I really appreciate the staff– always friendly and accommodating.
Recently, I had to get stitches and I am so happy with the result– absolutely no scar. Thanks Dr. Nguyen!

The bad place to go to treatment for skin. Made my skin face dark and I had to look for difference place to treatment the things that I don’t have it. So terrible treatment. Costed too much time, money, lost confident, can’t go to work, school, and lost my friends, cuz I look so ugly after I only need to treatment for the pores to make minimize but it doesn’t work and I have to endure with dark spot skin. I Feel suicide. Cuz iam so ugly than original. I must better not going here. I don’t know what to do now??? Doctor need to have responsibility for patient what they gave to me.

Out of nowhere I got a really bad flare up Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (first time for me). Started going to ABC in November and Andrea started me on Enbrel and Laser treatment. I felt the results in my hip, shoulder, and feet immediately and today my skin is about 80% cleared up. They know what they’re doing! The service is always great and one time there was hiccup with my insurance so they gave me samples of enbrel until it cleared up. I’m so glad I started coming here!

I like this location. I’ve been searching far and wide for a good dermatologist and the thing with derms is that it’s a hit or miss. I’ve been to some offices where all they do is sell you their rebranded skincare cream. Most of the derms I’ve spoken to are more focused on trying to get you to sign up for some pricey procedure instead of actually tackling on whatever your primary skin concerns are. You won’t find that hassle here.
I originally went to see Dr. Tien Nguyen at his Fountain Valley location — but some of his staff there were less than friendly (that issue has since been resolved) — so I started going to his Irvine location instead. The office staff and MAs are a lot more professional and courteous at this location. In addition, this is the primary office for the PA, Andrea Nguyen — who is just as awesome. Go here instead of the FV location.
Andrea the PA is very knowledgeable about Dermatology — especially certain skin conditions such as acne or psoriasis. I was surprised at how comfortable and confident she presented when I asked her with my set of questions I had prepared while I was doing research myself. What’s great about Andrea is that she is very personable and professional — and more importantly — was open to any objections I had about trying certain medication or procedures. She would always try to find alternatives, rather than insisting that I try a certain medication or procedure. One thing that really stands out is that Andrea is also sensitive to patient insurance — something another reviewer pointed out. This is important, especially when it comes to skincare medications. Prescription based products are typically on the more pricier spectrum when it comes to skin care, more so than medication for other parts of the body. So while a certain product may be recommended to treat something you have, if its too pricey — chances are, you probably won’t be as enthusiastic to try it out — and Andrea and her staff here does a great job working with specialty pharmacies to try to meet a middle ground that is sensible for the patient.
Also, before you knock off on the PA thing — PA school/​training is still very comprehensive and intense — while it’s not as long as MD/​DO training, PAs still cover a wealth of information that physicians have to cover as well in medical school. Sure, it doesn’t come with some fancy title, but it’s what PAs do with their education post-​training that matters. I have no doubt that Andrea keeps up on her CME courses, as well as up to date on dermatology industry trends considering her breadth of knowledge and how well she understands this field. Another plus I’ve noticed is that PAs in general have a better bedside manner and don’t seem as rushed during your encounter as a lot of the other skincare physicians/​professionals I’ve spoken to.
Can’t give five stars yet mainly due to some confusion over a insurance copayment thing — but I’ll update this once that works out (or doesn’t haha). But that’s mainly more front desk sort of thing. Andrea the PA is five stars.

Had a very pleasant visit. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Dr Nguyen was awesome. Diagnose my situation and got treatment right away. Didn’t have to wait. Was in and out. I’m sure fountain valley office is just as great but really glad I went to their Irvine location.

I love coming here ! Absolutely friendly and professional, it’s very nice and good place to go too. Every 2 weeks I have an appointment with Melanai she is really awesome. I really saw a big changes in my acne. I recommend everyone to come to there office …

I really like this office. I’ve been to both their locations.
Everyone is personable and I never feel rushed here. I saw Andrea the PA for an acne follow up visit. I tend to ask a lot of questions – She was very patient and had excellent bedside manner. My last dermatologist seemed always rushed and I never felt that comfortable – totally not an issue here!
I’m happy with the treatments she prescribed me and they seem to be working well. My skin has never looked better!
This is a great office and I highly recommend them.

I made an appointment to see the dermatologist at this place. The place is ok. However, I was greeted by the physician’s assistant, not the doctor himself. My insurance paid a DERMATOLOGIST’s visit price not for me to see an assistant. If you can’t come to your office during open hours, then don’t open the freaking office.
All they do is urging me to do facial so they make more money. No thanks. Not helpful at all.

Looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor to treat skin disorders? Look no more! They are a best in class group to treat eczema and psoriasis. Andrea Nguyen, PA, is hands on and in her own right, one of the most knowledgeable, bright young, medical experts on psoriasis. She is conservative in her approach and relentless in her quest to help patients find relief from this disease. Dr. Nguyen and Ms. Nguyen are kind, compassionate and practical in their advice and treatment. I’ve treated with many dermatologists over the years and they are lazy about getting educated about the most up to date medications and practices. Dr. Nguyen and Andrea are on top of the new meds and procedures. They are very accommodating and even open on Saturdays! They are very interested in helping treat your condition, and will work with you on your insurance. Dr. Nguyen absolutely holds to the Hippocratic Oath of «do no harm»…to that he adds, «and whatever I can to help you». This is a first rate staff and facility! Can’t say enough about this group. Even if your insurance does not contract with them, it is worth treating with them as a cash patient!

This is my very first time meeting Dr. Nguyen and his staff, and I have to say this… Dr. Nguyen is one of the kindest doctors I’ve ever met! His staff is very friendly too. After completing the initial «new» patient paperwork, I was called right in. He actually told me, «thank you for being my patient.» He asked me questions and told me that he was going to give me nothing but the best. He gave me samples and coupons for some of my prescriptions! Wow! He is very engaging, and I could tell that he genuinely cares for his patients and he ensures the best treatment for his patients. He really put me at ease. As we all know too well, finding a specialist is like spinning the big doctor Wheel of Fortune. You just never know who you’re going to get. There are way too many doctors who treat you like a number – not Dr. Nguyen! I’m so happy that I found him! He is just a delight!

I had a MOHL Micrographic surgery performed by Dr. Tien Nguyen on the side of my nose. I am very impressed with Dr. Nguyen, he really cares about the needs of his patients. I would highly recommend anyone with skin detemology needs or a desire to achieve the best care for their skin to see Dr. Ngueyn first. I can assure you will not be disappointed. Thank you Dr, Nguyen, Andrea and all his staff, great professionals.

My experience was top notch. I had some moles removed and had a young PA named Andrea doing the surgery. She was very nice and professional. She would tell me step by step what she was doing. They even stayed after closing because I had a late appointment dude to my schedule. This place cares about their patients. The stitches are small and very neat. I will be coming back here for all my dermatologist needs!

Must have been a bad day for one of the front desk receptionist but I was treated very rudely on the phone when I was making an appt. I dont expect to be treated like royalty but don’t cut me off when I’m talking… thats pretty rude don’t you think? When I got there, she charged me for copay that was already paid. She was adamant I needed to pay it, so I paid (I should’ve just walked out). Sorry Dr. Nguyen, I’ll be looking for a new dermatologist.

Do NOT go here. I had 3 appts. here and from the very first one I had my doubts. Too many problems/​issues to even type! If you are on this page to see what others are saying about this office in order to make your decision about going here, please find another doctor.

Waiting area is cute but small, receptionists are very friendly.
The first time I came here with my sister I was driving around for 15 minutes before I found it. It’s located in a building on the corner of mcgaw and Von karman across the street from a go karting place.
I was able to do a walk in without having to wait forever despite the fact that there were about 8 patients with appointments. The dermatologist himself was REALLY nice, he took one look at my face and recognized my trouble areas and whatnot and gave me medication.
He made his own skin care line, and my sister has used it before and she’s in LOVE with the retinol serum but it’s a bit pricey, $ 45. The lady that gave me a facial was a bit rough, but then again I’ve never had a facial before and IT HURT. It wasn’t relaxing and a couple days later my face is still trying to heal. I felt that she was thorough, but not enough because when I went home, I still saw noticeable blackheads. Hopefully my face will be better soon.
Although everyone in the office is REALLY sweet, I felt like the doctor rushed through my visit. He gave me the same samples that he gave my sister, who has far worse acne then I do. He gave me two coupons for the samples, but I can’t get those at the pharmacy without a prescription… I’ll be back for another facial, maybe, but not another office visit.
