I get it. 4 stars means a very trendy place with good food but I can’t help myself. I love the Phở here. When they first opened they were cash only. I realize now there are several. All I can say that baby when it’s cold outside this place is jumping and the phở is so good. The interior is modest and the staff are friendly and you can call this comfort food regardless of its Vietnamese origin. Do try the Phở with Filet Mignon beef slices. Extra noodles for me and plenty of Jalapeño. I am sweating up a storm. I just wish it was cold outside.

Best place for phở and spring rolls in Irvine. Portions are not as big as others. They give less phở but does have a lot more meat than others in the area. If you prefer more meat in your Phở, this is the place to go. If you want to gorge on Phở with minimal meat, try elsewhere. As for msg, I dont get that thirsty afterwards so it shouldnt be too bad

Love their TK10 item plate, their garlic noodles are bland, but I always get the food to go and stir fry their noodles with garlic, salt & butter to make it better! Just tried their TK phở today and its decent! When I’m in Irvine, this is my go to spot!

Love their broken rice with Korean short rib. The phở is really great, as well! This place is in our rotation; it is clean and service is great — but for whatever reason, yesterday’s service was extremely slow. I had called and placed the order about 10 min before arriving; then waited another 15 min for my food. I guess good things come to those who wait…

LOVE that this place is now in Irvine so i don’t have to drive all the way to Westminster for this amazing food. I will say that the Nem Nuong and the sauce is a little different than the one in Westminster. BUT the 10 item dish is still the same and it’s still amazing! I will definitely keep coming back because i love Vietnamese food and this restaurant is like HOME in my mouth. If you ask for more Nuoc Mam, they’re more than happy to give you some. They aren’t stingy like other Vietnamese restuarants. The Phở broth is also very sweet, so if you don’t like your broth on the sweeter side, you might not enjoy the Phở, but i love it! I thought i was walking in late by coming into the restaurant about 40 minutes before it closes, but people were walking in 15 – 20 minutes before close and they still took everyone. GREATSERVICE!

Okay, so I got take-out from here today and I’m glad that they now accept Visa and MasterCard. I got two orders of the two-item entrees. I opted to get the garlic noodles as the base for both, and the grilled beef & grilled chicken for one and Chinese sausage & egg quiche for the other. I was pretty hungry so I plowed through most of my food pretty savagely. But I didn’t particularly think it was that great. The grilled beef was VERY chewy and had a sinewy texture to it. That was really the only«flaw». Everything else was just fair. Garlic noodles were a tad dry, but I prefer that over greasy noodles any day. The Chinese sausage is still pretty good, as was the egg quiche. I have yet to try the phở so that will be for next time.

The Phở is really flavorful — I love the broth and the thin slices of tender beef with onions and cilantro. They give a generous side of basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos and limes for your add ins too. It’s small inside but they also have outdoor tables. We also ordered their appetizer the ground pork rolls and those were so delicious in the dipping sauce. Thai tea was really good too. :) My picture came out horrible on this… I will have to visit again and fix that. ;)

Came here expecting really good Vietnamese food compared to its counterpart in Westminster, but alas, I was met with watered down nuoc mam for my rice and grilled pork chop, which was way dryer than my sense of humor. The phở broth wasn’t very impressive, and nem nuong was just terrible. It’s nothing like actual nem nuong cuon with chives and the little egg roll stuffed inside that gives the rolls their characteristic crunch. This is the last time I’ll get desperate and get Vietnamese food in Irvine. Next time, I’ll just go home. You’re better off going to the original Thuan Kieu in Westminster.

My mom was wanting a Vietnamese place that didn’t require us to drive over to Lil Saigon, since we were staying in Irvine. After looking up places that would hopefully satisfy her craving we decided to go to Thuan Kieu. Having gone to their Westminster location, I am fan of their com tam dishes. My mom ordered a tendon phở(she’s a tendon fanatic), I had their com tam with egg roll, tau hu ky, grilled pork, and cha. My mom liked her phở and said it tasted good, they gave her alot of tendon. My rice dish was pretty good, though it was missing their bits of crispy pork fat. I only got their pickled veggies. No cucumber, tomato or even one scant piece of lettuce. I was pretty hungry but didn’t mind, but it would’ve been good for some fresh veggies. Service was good and friendly, and wasn’t bad for being in Irvine. They do accept cards which is nice.

This place is nice. Like any other Vietnamese Restaurant this one serves Phở as well. What maybe caught my attention was the«Create your Plate» which allows you tho choose between Vermicelli and Broken rice. After that you can choose either 2 or 3 items. This menu comes with a small soup. I tried it and it was nice. The dishes came out fast and there was no wait to be seated. Unfortunately it’s CASHONLY.

After watching two games of intense NFL, we headed to Thuan Kieu Noodle & Grill for some good olé’ ph. Most Unilocalers seem to opt for the broken rice dish, but I typically don’t order that so I went for the soup noodles. I have to say I wasn’t overly impressed but it definitely on the top half of the median for me. The soup was good, light, but still the same as it should be for ph. The meat quality was average, it definitely wasn’t the tastiest fall-apart meat I’ve gotten before. The egg rolls were just as expected with the fish sauce. The A/C was broken on this 104°F day though. Not their fault, but yeah, damn it was hot in there. The service was really good and prompt, very friendly. The ice waters were huge so we didn’t have to ask for a refill. Not really too much to say about the place, it was a good choice if you’re local, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had. I would come back though, based on its convenience.

Came here on a Sunday night at 7PM and it was crazy busy — wait time was about 30 minutes! Typically when I pass by during the day it looks empty, but I guess everyone was craving Vietnamese food or something. You can dine in or take your order to go. so my party decided order to go! Shorter wait time plus we’ll be able to eat outside at our own leisure. Apparently, if you order to go and eat outside, they actually bring you your food to you as if you were dining in. A bit strange. why would I want to ever dine in then if I can order to go and still get the same service with lesser wait time? Got the daily special — vermicelli noodles with chicken and eggroll. YUM! The chicken and eggrolls were flavorful and moist. They ran out of cup waters though. Isn’t that a bit illegal? I know in the food industry you have to have water available for customers just like how restaurants have to have a restroom. Anyways, scarfed down my food without water — delicious. Lack of water won’t deter me away from this place. I’ll just bring my own water bottle.

Came to recover from a crazy night. Maybe it was because we came right when they opened but their doors were wide open… Which was a bad idea because flies were coming and going and at one point during our meal a bee was buzzing right in our face. –_– I got my default phở Thai, egg rolls and Thai iced tea. Heck, I don’t even remember whether or not I liked the food because we were too busy trying to shoo away the flies the whole time…

+ Large portions + Reasonable prices + Fast service + Inside/outside seating This Vietnamese place has very large servings at a reasonable price. Food is very good and the wait staff is friendly and fast. I had the 7 item dish and it was almost too much for one person to finish. I do have to mention that there was a small rock in one of my eggrolls but I don’t find it to be a big deal personally. Luckily I didn’t chip my tooth. It wasn’t intentional and sometimes things happen during food processing. I mentioned it to the lady at the counter and she was very apologetic. I won’t stop me from eating here again. I’ll probably bring my parents here too. They are very particular about restaurants so I’ll be interested to hear what they say.

For under $ 10 I got the tu chon(make your own combo): garlic noodles with egg cake and shrimp. It is served with a bit of salad and pickles and some fish sauce. There was a good amount of food.6x shrimp and a slice of fluffy, well seasoned steamed egg. It was a delicious takeout lunch. Make sure you’re clear on your order. I said egg and some shrimp and almost got shrimp cake instead… Not whole shrimp. 4 stars for being near home. I’d come here again for the rice dishes. I haven’t tried the Phở. The service was a bit slow, but probably because the staff were also having their lunch at 2.30pm.

Came by for dinner the other night and this place is located right next to Albertsons in the mall owned by The Irvine Company… Staff was very friendly and the restaurant is clean and spacious. Egg rolls came out hot and fresh but they were the«smooth» egg roll wrapper vs. the«wavy» type they had in the pictures… Combination Phở was very good with a flavorful broth and tender cuts of beef. There were also two huge pieces of tendon! Noodles were al dente too! Grilled Beef and Pork from the broken rice plates were decent too! Cash only! ~$ 10/person after tax and tip for dinner.
