We currently are #1 in Anaheim and do the majority of our group classes at various major hospitals throughout Riverside County, OC, and LA County. We provide the most affordable classes in the area, in addition to providing the high quality of instruction from paramedics & nurses when it comes to CPR, Basic Life Support, and First Aid! History

Established in 2012.

The CPR Hero Training Center started off with the beginnings of UCLA students that went on to become trained as healthcare professionals in emergency medical services. With instructors that total over 10 years of experience and having certified more than 3,000 individuals in American Heart Association guidelines — the CPR Hero Training Center was created to bring the most affordable, energetic, and student-​focused health education to the communities of Southern California. With major contracts and satisfied students from UCLA Medical Center, UC Irvine Campus, UC Riverside Campus, and various youth oriented & community organizations; The CPR Hero Training Center is proud to be one of the première American Heart Association training sites in the area. It’s business is founded upon the core ideals of bringing the most cost effective solutions to individuals that have a desire to respond in a medical emergency, or become better healthcare workers. Business Owner

Michael Pham is the lead educator and director of The CPR Hero Training Center. With several years of EMS experience, Michael has served the Greater Los Angeles County as an emergency healthcare professional one patient at a time. A former Volunteers Director and alumni of UCLA, Michael continued his education through the UCLA Daniel Freeman Paramedic Program. His experience as an American Heart Association educator comes from 3 years of experience at the UCLA School of Medicine as a Lead Clinical Instructor for the Basic Life Support Program. Having certified and helped certify over 3,000 individuals in various AHA courses such as BLS, Heartsaver CPR/​AED, First Aid, ACLS, PALS, and more — Michael takes great pride in his skills as a healthcare professional and educator. What makes his toes curl is the passion he finds in educating the community, especially the youth, in being responsible Good Samaritans and advocates for the underserved. Each person certified leads to a safer world!

It was very informative and an interactive class. The instructors were very funny and entertaining and made a 3 hour class feel like it flew by in regards to time. I also liked the book that they gave us. The dummies that they used were well maintained and it was great practice. Will come again for a refresher and reccommend to other people.

We found a class through Babies-​R-​US. It was a great price compared to the other places I was researching to do it. I signed up the night before and they had room still. Our instructor was great. She was thorough and moved through the class quickly which I appreciated.

I had BLS with Jeannie for the 9am class; however, she did an amazing job with giving us a fast and detailed instruction on how to give a proper cpr. She was very friendly, cool, and comfortable to be with. Overall, amazing instructor!

I came to the Basic Life Support class at 10am on a Sunday morning at UCSD not expecting a classroom full of people who wanted to get certified also. It was really cool to be there with others who wanted to have the skills to «save a life». or as Jimmy calls it. «to help delay the time of death.» Jimmy was the instructor of the BLS session who had an impressive background serving as a medic in the Middle East. Not only was his presence exuding professionalism but also a friendly and approachable persona. He was comedic too despite the fact that we were talking about serious situations where saving lives was on the line. That kind of took the pressure off the topic as well as reinforce the importance of not joking around when it comes to helping someone with cardiac arrest or choking.
ex) When enlisting help from the public while you are initiating compressions, checking airways, and giving breaths to a victim, you must DEMAND that a person nearby calls 9−1−1 and gets an AED and comes back with the AED. You can’t just be a pansy in a life-​threatening situation and softly ask «Can you call 911 and get an AED and come back?” – You can’t give someone the chance to say no. You NEED help so the cooperation MUST be enlisted. you shouldn’t ask for it. HAHA. Ok – lesson learned Jimmy.
There were chairs set up in a large circle with adult dummies and baby dummies aligned against them. Each set of dummies was given to 2 people. Luckily, I was paired up with a friend who I ran into at the class and also wanted to get certified. It was more fun too doing it with a friend.
Jimmy explained everything very thoroughly, carefully, and succinctly. He also had very good help from the people who helped facilitate the class. As a person who has taken an EMT class myself, his explanations were on point and in-​line with emergency rescue situations.
Definitely would love to come back to this class in 2 years.
My first BLS certification class was horrible and was with another company.

Very professional, engaging and enthusiastic instructor, Jimmy. He made the information easy to absorb and made the class fun and pass by super fast. I was worried that i would be sitting in a chair for two hours trying to keep my eyes open. But that was definitely not the case. The class was engaging and the information was presented in a way that it was easy to remember. I would definitely recommend this class. Not only because it is affordable. But because the quality of training you are getting is so great! Will definitely take this class again when i need to renew my certification.

I just finished my CPR/​First Aid class with Joseph and he was great! I was the only person in the class since the other two people somehow didn’t show up so I was able to get all my questions answered. Joseph provided an extensive amount of information that I was able to retain. He also did a recap of every area just to make it simpler and it did help. There were no video provided which I was actually thankful for because that wouldn’t have given me the hands-​on training that I was seeking. I definitely recommend this class for anyone who just wants to know for the safe side. Also, if taking it at the Newport location, I would recommend getting to the Mariners Church a little bit before the scheduled time seeing as though it’s a little bit confusing and I was lost for 10 – 12 minutes!

This program not only helped me get my CPR certification, but also managed to create a really relaxed and fun environment in the process. I truly enjoyed the two and a half hours I spent learning how to save lives. Our instructors were engaging and kept the class exciting at all times all while maintaining an air of professionalism, swapping their own stories and experience throughout the afternoon.
And of course you can’t put a value on what you learn in a class such as this. Overall 5/​5, an amazing experience!

Honestly, I had a great time learning CPR. The instructor was informative yet interactive, which made my experience much better. Before I went, I thought it would just be a two-​hour tedious exercise where I had to take a test at the end, but my instructor Jimmy was able to teach us a lot in an efficient, organized, and memorable way.

Super awesome! 5 stars all around! Even though the class was early in the morning the instructors definitely made it enjoyable and easy to stay awake. They were pretty funny as well. Such a quick, easy, and informative class. The cost was not bad at all and it helps that there are multiple locations. I have nothing bad to say about them. I thought it would be intimidating but wasn’t at all. Just don’t forget the things you learn! I’ll definitely be going back.

Ever been to a really lame CPR class with an old salty person that just plays a video and doesn’t care about your learning? Yeah well… I’ve been to maybe three of those. I needed to get re-​certified for my BLS for my internship program, and I’m so glad THE CPR HEROES were the recommended providers J I learnt more in 3 hours than I ever did with the last 3 years of CPR classes. The education is just simply amazing — you have to be there to see the style for yourself. It’s basically an entertaining show, with you on center stage doing compressions and singing to the beat of «Staying Alive». I love it! Can’t wait to recertify!

Last week we use the CPR Heroes at one of our work sites! The class was for 10 people and they brought out 2 instructors. We spoke to Michael on the phone and he set everything up with our registration online, set up a date, and came out within the week! Our employees absolutely loved the class. Our instructors Jimmy and Joseph were able to facilitate the class in both English and Vietnamese, which was really helpful for our employees. The most enjoyable part was first aid, since we got hands on time to use the epinephrine pen, splints, and tourniquets. A lot of these techniques are just so useful, no doubt. I’m very content with their services!
Overall: They were professional, informative and I hope to renew with them in 2 years!

I took the CPR certification and BLS course with Michael Pham and it was the best course I’ve ever taken. I almost didn’t go because I remember my last class being long and tedious, but this one seemed to fly by. The staff is not only professional and energetic, but teaches in a way that you remember all the facts for the test at the end. I feel like I received enough personal attention and that my time and money was well spent.

I’m super grateful that I was able to take this class because I feel as if I learned a lot. The only downside about this one day class is that we only have one day. Not much time to really review and retain the information… but I would recommend this class to others!

Really awesome class! I’m so glad I took this class. It was held at the Fountain Valley Hospital for the volunteers, and it went a lot better than I expected it to. Went over basic life support and got to practice on dummies. The instructors were really nice and were able to answer all the questions proposed. It felt very relaxed and comfortable.

Very professional and enthusiastic staff! Loved my instructors at fountain valley hospital! Jimmy is very knowledgeable in the training material and helped everyone in the class. He even went around to answer questions on a personal level. I learned so much from this one workshop. The different topics that jimmy covered were very easy to understand and I feel confident in what I learned. Jimmy made the class very comfortable and fun. The environment was not intimidating in the least bit.
