Team Up! Teambuilding and Ropes Course @ UCI

I love playing games and physical challenges so what better way to celebrate my birthday than to bring all of them to a rope course? The process of talking to a team member was quick and easy! Go to their website, send an email, and a rep will get back to you quickly. Jason was nice and quick to helping me target my group’s wants and needs for their experience.
Team Up! works with various group sizes and group needs. From small birthdays like mine to large company team building, Jason helped create a full days worth of fun games and challenges for my group. After a few emails between Jason and myself, the hardest part was getting a few of my friends to commit to facing their fear of heights. Lucky for me, I pulled the «its my birthday» card and I got’em!
On the day of, park in front of the UCI Rec center and follow the path closest to the Rec center. It will lead you up the stairs towards a field and from there you’ll see the rope course.
Although I went to Team Up! not too long ago, I’m already planning to go back! I assure you, it is an unforgettable experience!

Tremendous experience. Instructors stuck a great balance between supportive and pushing us. It can be as physically challenging as you want. Overall a great team building excercise.

Great experience challenging myself (mentally and physically) and showing/​seeing vulnerability amongst colleagues. The staff was amazingly patient and did a nice job of tying the learnings back to the workplace at multiple intervals throughout the course. Overall a very worthwhile team bonding experience.

There is a reason Team Up has nothing but 5 star reviews. Drew and his team are doing amazing work. Not one of our group of 30 left that course the same as we came in. It changes how you view others and yourself. I am a skeptical person, so I waited a while to make sure that the review I wrote wasn’t influenced by adrenaline or the rush you get from the experience. I genuinely believe that this experience can improve you as person and as a team. This is something unique that affects your framework of thinking and everyone with the the opportunity should experience once.

So AWESOME! Helene was an amazing leader. It was great TeamBuilding experience. I would highly recommend taking your team here!

This is SO MUCH fun! We did a team bonding day here with 11 people and it was a blast.
The staff gently pushes you to explore how each exercise helps us work together as a team, but they do it without being cheesy. Honestly, most team-​bonding programs get cheesy and boring. This is NOT the case at Team Up!
Staff was amazing, course was challenging, and the entire day was incredible. I’m definitely going back there if I get the chance!

This is a great way for you to conquer your fear of heights. Also, it is a great thing to do for team bonding.
The ropes course definitely challenges on how well you and your peers communicate and work together.

What better way to start of 2012 than to go on an Odyssey?
Odyssey, also known as the Team Up! Teambuilding and Ropes Course, is a program at UCI that promotes «team building through different communicating, problem-​solving and recreational activities.» Instead of battling one-​eyed monsters and resisting the charms of fatally attractive Sirens, UCI’s Odyssey is a hanging ropes course that tests your ability to work with teammates to move from stage-​to-​stage using only ropes, harnesses, and your own man-​strength while hanging 50-​feet above the ground.
