Super Irvine Cafe

LITERALLY THE BEST PERSIAN FOOD EVER the food is so fresh and totally tastes homemade literally doesn’t get any better than this! Service is amazing, produce is amazing, and prices are amazing! Definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a authentic Persian cuisine! What’s even better is that they also cater !!!

There’s a small café inside the grocery store and that’s where they get all their fresh ingredients! I take the long way home just to pass by Super Irvine Café to grab some delicious food. It’s the best koobideh I’ve had since I’ve moved to Southern California and the prices can’t be beaten.

I will take the long way home just so I can stop by the Super Irvine café and get some tadiig and fesenjoon. I love the chicken kabobs and beef koobideh. The staff is super nice too (and the food is much better than the restaurant next to them). Definitely go to the Super Irvine Café for delicious authentic Persian food

I would go at least once a week to this wonderful place. The food is to die for!!!

Super Irvine Café deserves more than just 5 stars!!!

This is a low-​key Persian café inside the Super Irvine supermarket. They serve the same food as almost every kabob house in Orange County — kabobs, Persian stews, several types of rice, kookoo sabzi, tachin, ash reshteh, etc. Everything except the kabobs are reheated and displayed on the steam table for customers to pick and choose from.
If you order a meat dish, you can be guaranteed that the meat comes from the butcher on the supermarket side. I ordered one of the specialty rices that was running low, and the owner was kind enough to tell the chef to make me a small batch from scratch. The chef was dispatched to the meat shop, where he picked up some beef. He assembled all the other ingredients and cooked the rice dish fresh on the grill.
Unlike at the Persian restaurant next door (Caspian), the stews and rice here did not appear to be cooked very greasy. For once, my order of beef koobideh was not super dry and overcooked! In addition, Super Irvine provided the proper Persian herb plate including fresh mint, radish, and onions, even for to-​go orders, which was nice to eat alongside the main course and helped with digestion. No other OC Persian restaurant supplied this to me, not even the fine dine places like Hatam or Darya.
Why would I ever order take out again at Caspian next door when I can get the same thing from Super Irvine Café at ½ price?

The restaurant is located inside of a Persian supermarket where there are few tables and a area where you stand to get your order taken. The seating area is self service just life a cafeteria. One you have placed your order you simply sit down and wait for the food to be delivered to you. I ordered the combination koobedi along with rice tomato which came with two skewers one of beef and one of chicken. The food was succulent delicious and I just couldn’t stop eating every delicious morsel. The restaurant is located right next to Caspian Sea Persian restaurant in a busy complex so you may need to park at a distance in this shopping center from the actual restaurant. Please come and visit this excellent place you will find the people very inviting warm and wanted to make sure that you’re having a great experience. The restaurant itself is a little old but still is a great hole-​in-​the-​wall to have an excellent meal at a very modest price.

As an avid customer of Super Irvine I have been so grateful for this new restaurant. I have tried pretty much everything from koofteh to baghali polo, addas polo, baghali polo, chicken shish kabob, beef shish kabob, koobideh, ghormeh sabzi and fesenjoon. The portions are extremely generous and the food is absolutely amazing and so delicious. I have to order food here every time I shop and I crave the food from here all the time and you can’t beat the prices. I love that they have seating at the store and the option for take out. Everyone here is always so friendly and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to some amazing persian/​mediterranean food.

Kabob to kill for. Love this place. Absolutely wonderfully amazing and delicious. The meat used can be lamb or beef, and it’s cooked fresh.
The Persian style foods are all fresh and delicious and pretty decently healthy.
Heavy on the rice though.

So I’ve been trying to come here for the past month but the parking over there is crazy… I lucked out and got a 20 minute parking spot. I got the chicken shish kabob plate. It was quite tasty! Wish it came with a salad or something though… But there was plenty of rice… I mean plenty! The chicken was well seasoned and I will try to comeback if there is parking.

It may not be a fancy restaurant but the food is spectacular and the portions are very generous. It’s conveniently attached to the grocery store.
It’s been awhile since I’ve had Persian food and I’ve been craving ash and adas polo. So I ordered both. I would have ordered the fesenjan too but I was too full.
Let’s talk about why this is an amazing little hole in the wall joint, there’s so many pluses here:
— big screen television
— lots of parking available
— can go grocery shopping while waiting for the food or order for take out
— HUGE portions, I couldn’t finish my rice
— the adas polo… so flavorful and full of yumminess, the lentils, dates, raisins, and spices made it a hearty meal.
— the ash reshteh was *almost* as good as my friend’s (probably the closest I’ll get to her homecooking).
— the man who took our order and brought us our food was very friendly and made sure that we had everything
— the prices… can’t beat the prices!
I brought a friend with me, he’s never had Persian food before. He ordered the beef soltanif, obviously he liked it because he ate everything on his plate and most of my chicken too!
I regret not taking the leftover rice home… but luckily for me, I know where I can get my Persian food fix!

Their food is amazing! Unbeatable prices. I’d go there over and over. Gonna bring all my friends next time!

Highly recommend dinning here or ordering take out. Perfect place to get groceries and get a yummy meal. They just recently added a little café/​kitchen with a cute cozy seating area. Since they opened i have been there numerous times to eat their delicious Tachin! Not many Persian restaurants serve tachin and this is by far my favorite. Their make theirs vegetarian and add a skewer of juicy chicken shish kabob next to it. Their portions are huge and prices are very reasonable! Definitely try this next time you are there. They have a full menu of kabobs, stews and mixed rices! Go.Go.Go! You don’t know what you are missing.

This is by far one of the best places to go to for Persian food in the OC (just as good as my favorite place; Bahar in South County). I’ve had the gheime, chelo kabob, kabob sandwich as well as the chicken kabob; all of them have been nothing short of phenomenal & I look forward to going back again in the future (which knowing myself, will be sometime this week). If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor & go ASAP. You won’t regret it!
