Dan Hartnett is committed to providing quality mobile shredding services throughout Southern California. He’s driven to deliver secure on-site shredding, protecting his customers’ data and privacy. Dan is particularly knowledgeable of state and federal regulations, helping businesses adhere to laws like HIPAA, FACTA and FERPA.

Dan is also passionate about the environment and sustainability. His state-of-art shredding trucks consume less fuel per pound of paper shredded than any other system available. Sustainability doesn’t stop with fuel efficiency; all materials shredded are recycled. That’s why Dan has made sure that Sergeant Shredder doesn’t add to Southern California’s landfills.

The company takes up to a week before they can send a truck to your site to do your shredding. There is a two hour window of time where you have to wait at the site until they show up. Once they arrive they do good work but they do not shred the boxes that your documents are provided to shred and you are stuck having to haul away and dispose of the boxes. They have a 24 hour cancellation fee and even though they call you the day before and confirm whether or not the job is going forward. I found another shredding company that can come immediately, for less cost, they shred boxes too, you do not have to wait around for up to two hours, and they do not have a cancellation fee policy because they can come right away.

We had a garage full of very old documents and called Sergeant Shredder for their services. They were on time, quick and efficient. Their representative, Anthony, was very nice and we really appreciated his great demeanor and professional attitude.
Our goal was to get everything done before our clients began arriving at the office and the job was completed with time to spare!

Last year our Boy Scout group went to Japan an amazing trip with some amazing stories. We had to fundraise to come up with most of the money needed for the 3 week trip. Sgt. helped us earn a few bucks and helped many with a lot of paperwork they didn’t know what to do with. Sarge will be there.
Many «older peeps» keep every scrap of paper that they get. Some of this paperwork has personal info like name, address, SSN, phone so they are very reluctant to toss em. My father in law used to burn his until a few years ago when I got him a personal shredder. Another dentist friend of mine paid for storage for old doc’s that he didn’t know what to do with.
Sargent Shredder to the rescue! The Sarge runs a pretty tight outfit for your precious documents. They come out with a giant 4×4 shredding truck. The coolest I’ve ever seen. He pulls up and the shredding begins! He even has a video monitoring system where the old fogies and other folks that are super paranoid can watch their documents being shredded live!
I so wanted to put other stuff like watermelons and spray paint cans thru the video shred.
Sergeant Shredder helped my sons Boy Scout troop with a shredding fun time and some cash too! Call the Sarge.

Fantastic guys. We had what turned out to be 900 pounds of shredding to get done. They came when they said they would, they handled it fast. There was a slight billing error (it turned out to be higher than at first noted, simple mistake and a very small difference, the added charge was totally valid). However, Sergeant Shredder said they would honor the first (lesser) amount.
These guys are former military and ex-firemen, and while I still demand an outfit perform and do well, to me it still seems good to work with and support brave men and women like this.
Will use again and would refer them. Note check the filtered stuff on them, I noticed two bad reviews were NOT hidden (both uninformative and one sounded like it was written by a very angry young boy or something), yet they have tons of rave reviews in the hidden area. With my luck I’ll be joining the hidden ones too, lol… anyhow if you did manage to get to this review, I say there is no one better.

Just found these guys through a friend recently and became an instant fan of the company. They guy that runs it is named Dan and he is top to bottom, one of the best people I have come across in business. They will come to your house, business, or you can drop off at one of their authorized outlets. The thing that makes them unique (besides Dan) is they do all of their shredding on site. I used to use ShredEx but never liked the fact that my customer’s sensitive info, was taken back to their warehouse and destroyed there. Sgt Shredder’s truck can destroy your stuff while you watch. If you’re too busy to follow the guy to the truck, you can have them email you the video of your stuff being shredded. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. I will be trusting these guys with mine, and my customer’s info for years to come!
