Ali and Shery M.

Business Owner

Dr. Ali and Shery Mansouri grew up in southern California and earned their doctorates from USC School of Dentistry. They attend extensive continuing education in all fields of dentistry, especially in cosmetic, implant and family dentistry. Because of this, all of your treatment, from simple to complex, is performed with a meticulous attention to detail. They have an impeccable eye for esthetics and are passionate about creating beautiful smiles. It’s the best of both worlds — advanced dentistry combined with an intense focus on your personal comfort.

Our main goal is to build long-​lasting dental relationships one smile at a time and take great pride in helping you achieve your dream smile. On their personal time, Ali and Shery love to travel, cook, dine, play basketball, golf, yoga, hike, hang at the beach and watch USC football.

Told me I needed most of my fillings replaced because of «wear and tear». New dentist confirmed that only ONE needed to be replaced. Told me my 3 year old root canal needed a crown, 1st appointment to do this took 2 and a half HOURS and then didn’t put a temp on, just left a stump. After the crown was put on, it now hurts to chew on that side. I don’t have a nerve there! WHY does it hurt?! Had to go to a specialist who says that they can redo the whole root canal, or if there is something wrong with the tooth, take it out. GREAT.
And good luck calling them, you’ll always be sent to vm. Three thumbs DOWN.

I knew from my first visit my teeth would be good hands. Dr. Mansouri is truly a master of his craft. His patience, professionalism, and decorum exceeded my expectations. He began our first consultation listening to what my goals were for my teeth cosmetically, then provided his advice on what would be best for the overall health of my teeth, in order of priority. After going over the game plan with me, he has been flexible in allowing me to go at my own pace with the procedures I need.
Unfortunately, my previous dentist blessed me with some ugly filings — for lack of a better term. Extremely large grey fillings, fillings over teeth that needed root canals, fragments of grey fillings covered with white ones — to name a few issues. Much of the reason I elected to try a new dentist was to not only ensure my teeth remained healthy, but to ensure that cosmetically they look fabulous.
As far as overall office impressions: Their office is impeccably clean. I’m in and out in record time. Most importantly, their entire (yes, entire) staff is friendly, pleasant, and easy to work with (shout out to Trish for answering my 100 questions).
It’s no secret people walk into the dentist office dreading their appointment — I’m one of those people. As cheesy as it sounds, I actually walked out of their office today with a smile.

I always get so excited to come to get my cleanings done and see all of the amazing staff! If you want to feel like you are getting the absolute best dental care there is and walk out feeling like you have a brand new set of teeth, this is the office for you. I absolutely love everything about serene dental center! I am a vey hard person to please when it comes to dental care, as I despise it. However, at Serene Dental Center I feel extremely comfortable and accommodated from cleanings to root canals. I actually used to have to be put to sleep during root canals before finding serene dental center. I had one a few weeks ago and was out shopping with my daughter right after! The dentist even stayed longer than necessary and did all the root canal steps that involve numbing me in one visit that so I wouldn’t have to do it again. I definitely don’t love going to the dentist, but this is the best it gets!

I was jumping from dentist to dentist until I got to Serene Dental. Both Dr. Sherry and Dr. Ali are great at what they do, they make sure you are comfortable during the procedure and it is always a job well done.
One of the biggest perks of going to Serene Dental is that they have the latest technology — I needed a crown and the entire procedure was done in 1 day! You heard that right, 1 day. They were able to create the permanent crown right there in their office. This saves time and money versus having to go 2 or 3 times for a crown at other offices.
Dr. Ali and all of the dental hygienists are great with kids too. I took my son there for his first visit and they let him «ride» the chair up and down and shoot out water and air from the machines. And they turned on cartoons for him while he was there.
Now that I have found Serene Dental, I will never go anywhere else!

I always get great service from Dr. Ali and Dr. Sheri. I am usually full of anxiety when needing to visit the dentist. Since I found Serene Dental Center, I know I will get in and out quickly with the latest technology and efficiency. Jeri at the front desk is nothing but polite and helpful. I have recommended my entire family here who are more than happy with their services. I would recommend Serene Dental Center to anyone I know!

My husband and I have both been going here for years now, and we absolutely love this dental office. The staff and doctors are so friendly and helpful! They have state of the art equipment and tools which make cleanings and dental work virtually pain free, which is a bonus as I am a huge wimp and hate getting cleanings– they definitely make me feel comfortable here!

My last review was from 2 years ago, and I just wanted to provide an update for any considering going here. After not having dental insurance for 4 years, I will finally be caught up on my dental work on September 8th. Dr. Ali was extremely patient working with me and my financial situation [starving student], and made sure to break my appointments up to wait for my insurance to roll over so I could afford the work I was having done.
Jessica is the most amazing hygienist I’ve ever had, and I always look forward to seeing her and getting to chat about what shows we’ve been watching, how our cats our doing, and just general life stuff [in between teeth cleanings, of course]. I am finishing the program I am at in Irvine in the next few years, and I’m already worried about what that will mean for my dentist visits… I can definitely see why people fly out from places to come here for their dental work!

I’ve been going to serene dental since 2009. I love my dentist and I hate going, but everyone there is so nice. I even trusted them enough to take out my wisdom teeth right there in the office. That’s how good of a job they do. I’ve have multiple people in the office clean my teeth and to be honest they all do such a great job. Dr Ali is obviously my favorite and he really knows what he talking about and he can really crack some corny jokes. Let’s just say, I drive all the way from LA to go to this Dental office, and that’s saying a lot since I live in Venice beach and live in my five mile radius.

Found Serene Dental through my Unilocal search review and was the top rated out of all of the in network dentists in the Irvine area. I have to say, from beginning of entering the office and signing in to signing out, the staff are awesome. Very sweet and courteous. The front desk also calls you back when she says she’ll call you back! How great is that!
Dr. Mansouri was really gentle with my teeth during the procedure and was checking in on how I was feeling through out. He primed me what he was about to do and afterwards let me know how it was going to feel. Plus, he’s hilarious and great attitude! Found my dentist!

Nobody likes the dentist. Even adults. I was no exception. Yes, I said «was». Besides this office being immaculate and comfortable, the faces and smiles at the front desk warmly welcome you and put your fears at ease. Both doctors are so nice and every tech there are extremely patient and gentle when giving you a cleaning. Before I came here in 2013 I was only going to a dentist every few years. But now I go twice a year, like you’re supposed to!
If you hate going to the dentist, come here and that will totally change. This place is amazing.

I really can’t say enough about this place. Every time I come in, and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. TIME… the staff is so professional and courteous and friendly and warm and accommodating. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now, thanks to Dr. Mansouri and the fabulous team.
The office is great, the rooms are nice and big and clean. The parking can be brutal sometimes, but let’s be honest, where isn’t parking brutal at times?
The only slightly negative feedback I have has to do with the office hours. It makes it impossible to schedule without missing work or extending a lunch hour. Other than that, I have never had a problem and I really appreciate the kind of service this office provides and am so lucky to have been referred here.

What a great group here, from the dentist to the hygienist to the office staff. I first came here a year ago for my standard cleaning and check up (moved from a new area) and needed a good dentist. I found the Dr, through a Unilocal review and knowing the urgent care I go to that is great recommended them as well.
Anyways they found two tiny cavities that said I could wait on. Then they mentioned I have a grinding issue. I made a follow up appointment 6months down the road since it wasn’t too urgent.
Fast forward a year later, I called and explained my dire jaw pain (presumably from not getting a cavity filled yet) and the nice receptionist fit me into the busy schedule the next day.
And the next day I found out my issue was due to grinding, root canal avoided! Going to get my cavities filled in another week. The hygienist are also very very good, same with the doctor of course. I really trust the staff there.

No one likes having to go to a dentist.
That said, if you’re going to go anywhere, go to these guys.
Just the facts:
The office is surrounded by good parking.
The chairs are comfortable and have the TVs and all of the other gizmos that make it all better.
My hygienist was excellent. Efficient. Nice.
The front desk is the same. Good on the call backs.
And the doctors, I’ve been seeing them on and off for about 6 years.
Luckily it’s rarely.
When they treat you like family you know it’s good.
Simple.
PS I drive from LA to see these guys. If that doesn’t say it all, then you clearly don’t understand how freeways work in SoCal.
