Passport Office At UC Irvine

Super fast, very nice ladies working! I needed to get another form from somewhere else and she directed me to the closest location. When taking my picture she even offered to take another one if i didn’t like it. I went around 3pm no wait at all! This made getting my passport stress free! I definitely recommend!

Friendly and quick service. You are in and out within 10 minutes. I paid for their fastest service $ 110 for processing + $ 60 expedited service + $ 20.66 overnight delivery + $ 25 facility fee = $ 215.66. I was dissapointed learning their fastest service would still take 2 – 3 weeks. And someone wrote the application can still come back saying the signature is not valid or similar, so I am worried for my vacation.

This is THE place to get your passport taken care of. Helpful and courteous staff, efficient service, super convenient parking, and they even got my 2yo to take a passport picture! So thankful for this place!
Don’t even try the local Irvine post offices. The next available appts at the post offices on Murphy and League are 2−3wks away; though I called multiple times, I couldn’t even get through to make an appt at the post office on Sand Canyon.

This place is awesome! Just received my passport in the mail, exactly two weeks after going in to get it processed. At the time, they told me it should arrive around late February. So needless to say I was very pleased when it arrived over a month earlier than I expected. The process of getting your passport here is also very easy and efficient. I was probably in the building for total of 5 – 10 minutes. They know what they’re doing here!

Awesome service I found randomly googling «Irvine passport service». I was trying to book an appointment at the USPS and was getting annoyed at the random hours, appointment only, and no one picking up the phone at the post office. This office is great. Easy to get to and park, zero wait, no appointment needed, normal weekday hours opening at 8:30 am and occasional Saturdays. I had filled the forms out already for my son (one year old) and we were in and out of there in 5 minutes. Just make sure you double-​check your own forms. Highly recommended.

This is the place to go for all your passport needs! It is conveniently located off the 405 freeway on Jamboree and has free parking alongside the building (RARE for UCI!!). The staff here are extremely helpful and will walk you through the steps of the application, getting a GOOD picture, and process all your documents. I came here twice and there was no wait either time — I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
$ 110 application fee (check only) to the government, $ 26 processing fee (check or card) to UCI.

A few years back, I had tried to get my passport renewed. However, when I had tried to ask the guy a question when I was waiting, he told me to wait and seemed annoyed while he wasn’t doing much as he told me that in an extremely rude tone. Immediately, I left and decided to take my passport elsewhere for it to be renewed as I didn’t want to deal with that rude individual for one more second. If you want to get your passport renewed without dealing with the wait from not just dealing with rude staff, in addition from not waiting around with lots of immature students that would make it an even longer wait, drive to the Santa Ana Post office near South Coast where there’s barely anyone, but the post office lady that processed my renewal was way nicer and treated me with respect.

AMAZING! This place is seriously a hidden gem. A part of me didn’t want to reveal this secret but then I thought, wait, I only renew my passport once every 10 years!
I went on a Friday (⁰⁷⁄₂₄) after work around 430pm and no one was there except the girl behind the desk. I had my forms and photo ready to go, so it was just a matter of signing the docs & writing a check — plus the $ 2 processing fee, postage? I was out of there in less than 5 minutes!
I just received my passport in the mail today, less than 3 weeks later and I did not do expedited processing!
Such a painless process. I recommend it to anyone who needs to renew or apply for a passport!

I was dreading the passport renewal process because I thought it would be a hassle, but I was in and out of this place in five minutes on a Monday at lunch time, including the time it took to get a photo. (I did have my forms filled out already, but still.) no line at all. Plenty of parking. As others mentioned — bring your checkbook, because the fees to the Department of State cannot be paid by debit/​credit.

Yep! 5 stars easy. Walked in on a weekday (no appointment), think it was 10AM. There was one lady in front of me, so I had a…1 minute wait to be seen. The whole thing took about 10 minutes, as I had my documents and paperwork all ready.
The Passport Acceptance agent was super nice and I could tell was very knowledgeable about the whole process, because she was very methodical and I could tell double checked everything.
If you are heading towards the industrial looking shipping containers, you’re going the wrong way, so drive away from those. There was dedicated parking for the passport office so look for the blue sign that says «passport office» and the passport parking spots are also marked as well.
One more thing, I empathize with the reviewer who missed her trip because her passport wasn’t mailed in time, even though she sent it in 4 weeks before her trip. I highly highly highly recommend using a third party courier to handle your passport in this situation. Yes it will cost extra money but it is totally worth it.
They not only can get your passport WAY faster, they have the process down to a science so they will make sure all your documents are in order, including your photo. If I hadn’t used them, I would have been rejected multiple times, and would have missed my trip.

I originally went somewhere else and even though was told they accepted walkins they didn’t. After doing a quick Unilocal search as I needed to get my paperwork processed ASAP I found the UCI office. They were really nice, super helpful, overall I had a great experience. Highly recommend them to everyone!

The service I thought I was getting was great, the staff was quick and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. Until 4 weeks later I received a notice that my passport couldn’t be processed because my signature wasn’t valid. I went back and the overnighted what I hoped was a properly signed document, which shouldn’t have held up the process but it took another 4 weeks processing time and I missed my vacation. Make sure to double check the forms you are filling out that YOU filled it out correctly and completely since they just skim over it.
The service the first and second times was fine and friendly, but the purpose of going to a processing center is so the information is processed correctly. Which didn’t happen. 9 weeks later I don’t have a passport and missed the trip of a lifetime.

The receptionist isn’t very friendly but hey I got what I needed and it was fast and cheap! I’m happy! :P

This place is great. A little hidden, but still not hard to find. Look for the trailers. I came once at around 11am and there wasn’t anyone else there so I could have been in and out in less than 10 minutes. However, I had an abstract birth certificate and they can’t accept those. The woman helping me was nice enough to give me the address of the closest county recorder’s office in Laguna Hills and I was able to get my birth certificate after 5 minutes of waiting in line there. Came back around 4:45p and this place was much busier. Everyone waiting had kids with them so it was the after school crowd I guess. We were still out in about 15 minutes and we were a family of 4. Come with the application pre filled out and that will save you time. Also, make a copy of your drivers license or else they can do it for $ 1 a copy.

Super easy and convenient! I was totally dreading the standard post office process of renewing our passports and getting one for our baby boy but after finding this place on Unilocal we decided to give it a shot. We were prepared with the necessary forms filled out and documents and brought our checkbook too. There was no one ahead of us so we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. We spent $ 80 on the facility fees, 4 sets of photos, and postage + the cost of our passports.
There’s free parking on the side of the building so no need to park in the lot and pay.

Love this place. So fast and convenient. You dont need an appointment. All you have to do is bring your passport and your check book. Free parking and no line.

I’ve been putting off getting my passport for the longest. I really didn’t want to bother with the post office. Finally completed my application and noticed this place was on the list to have it processed and the reviews were great. Needless to say I made the right decision coming here. In and out in less than 10 minutes. Staff was friendly and service was quick and efficient. You really can’t beat that. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know!

I was a little worried because I needed to renew my passport quickly for an upcoming trip. This location made the whole process very pleasant. But $ 170 for the passport?!! Not so much.

Recently came to get a passport for my baby boy… and it was quick, painless, and easy! We were in and out within 5 minutes. You don’t need an appointment, but make sure you have your checkbook handy. They will only accept checks or cashier’s checks for passport payment.
They have applications on-​site, but I recommend downloading a passport application online and filling it out beforehand. Also, park in the stalls marked passport — there are several of them alongside the building!
It’s on the corner of Jamboree and Campus… diagonally across the street from the Office Depot.
