They treat new dance instructors like crap. My girlfriend started teaching there and they didn’t provide any insight or any training whatsoever as to how she should instruct her students. She was thrown into the deep end and when she asked questions it took Kim and Taylor DAYS to respond because Kim refused to do anything work related on her days off even though it’s her own business. My girlfriend was told not to worry about technique with her students, who were very young, but to basically let them play. She felt like a glorified babysitter and she felt that the company was wasting the parent’s money. One morning she was fired without reason, even when she asked directly. When she later called Kim out on not following through with her end of the contract, (yes the dance teachers have contracts with OCDP) Kim ignored her message and request as to why she was let go and she hasn’t heard from her since. We feel she was let go because she she received very little cooperation from the locations (which were small classrooms, not studios, where she had to clean and rearrange the room herself, while the 3 year olds ran amuck because she was given no setup time and the kids were dropped off without care from the location. Locations Kim never visited.) and when she talked to the faculty of the location they became upset that she was rocking the boat. Kim did little to help her and instead of helping and possibly losing the contract with the location, she felt it was easier to break her contract with my girlfriend. An extremely unorganized company with a leader who treated herself like just another employee who ignores her business on her «days off» and is obviously in it for the money and not the love of dance.

I love the dance programs from the OC Dance Productions! I’ve enrolled my daughter to two classes through the City of Irvine. She’s had Miss Brittany K and Miss Kierstie and both teachers are so sweet, kind, and patient towards all the little ones! Sometimes, it can be overwhelming to have so many toddlers (18 months-​3 years old) in one room but the teachers are great with the little ones and definitely know what they’re doing. Can’t wait to keep enrolling my daughter in these classes for years to come! Def recommend them– my daughter looks forward to coming every week and has so much fun dancing in every class!

I’ve taken YBB for 3 years now and I can truly say it’s better than any gym cardio class I have ever taken. I’ve been dancing since I was a kid and am picky about what dance cardio classes I take. Often I get bored or the cardio isn’t working on my body like it should after awhile. YBB is the perfect combo of cardio, toning, and cool down. The best part is that no matter what level you are at, Kim makes it appropriate for you. You can be a seasoned dancer or someone who has never taken an excercise class before in your life, and Kim modifies to both low and high impact. Oh and the amount of calories you burn while you’re having FUN is a win too!
I also have daughters who have taken the Cheer camp and had a Hannah Montana birthday theme through OCDP. Both were outstanding. The instructors at camp made it fun, personable, and didn’t leave one girl feel left out. Not only did the girls come away with fun routines and crafts, they felt good about themselves doing it. :)

I have taken the Barre Body, Cardio Hip Hop and Yoga Booty Ballet classes from OC Dance Productions. I found all three classes to be a great workout as well as fun. I have danced most of my life and can get bored easily in fitness type classes but these three classes were both inspiring and challenging. The instructors are approachable so you feel comfortable enough to ask questions. I highly recommend any class Orange County Dance Productions offers.

I have taken Yoga Booty Ballet from Kim and I love this class! It works up a great sweat but you also feel like you get some good resistance work with the toning and barre exercises. The final yoga portion is also a nice way to cool down. I recommend any of the classes they teach, all the instructors are highly professional and FUN! You can’t go wrong!
