I’ve been taking clients on since 2013, and launched the firm formally in 2015 as part of a Legal Incubator that provides access to legal services at significantly reduced rates.

I used to practice intellectual property (patent and trademark) law exclusively. I still work on patents and trademarks, but I enjoy being in court so I can help my clients personally. The best that I can explain it is that it makes me feel «important» and «valuable» when a client reaches out to me in a moment of crisis and I am able to help them through it. As ugly and depressing family law and criminal defense can be, that part — the part about helping people and giving them hope — makes me feel really good about myself. That’s why I am branching out.

After reading several reviews on here, I gave Athar a try. Even being a hour and a half drive away. I knew he was the one. How I was blown away. This man right here truly cares. One of a kind type a lawyer. I almost wouldn’t believe he was a lawyer because his concerns were never about the money. Always told me pay when and what you can. His concerns were my case. I could call him at any time of the hour and he would pick up. Never dragged out the phone calls either. He told me that I was venting to him too much and that, that’s not what he’s here for. He was here to help me with my case. And help me do what was right. So he referred me to a therapist. Never have I seen a lawyer respond that way. He did what I needed him to do and in the end almost refused to go to court with me, knowing him being there wouldn’t make a difference except in my bank account. And he was right. I took his advice on everything and never did it fail me. I will refer Athar to every person whom need such assistance. Thank you Athar.

Though I called on behalf of a friend I must say I was blown away. Having grown up and in the legal profession I must say that Athar blew me away. His immediate insights into the problem at hand were very impressive. However even more impressive was his frankness and honesty which I have rarely seen to such an extent within the legal profession. In addition are the following:
1. Very reasonable rates. Probably the lowest in his area.
2. Look at his website and look at his resume. The guy is obviously a genius as evidenced by his multiple degrees and subject matter studied.

I called the offices of Athar Khan to make an appointment during the weekend and he was available to meet me in person. I have called to get a second opinion on my ongoing custody battle. When I arrived, he was very professional and most importantly, he listened to what I have to say. I spend over 1hr, while he was reviewing my paperwork, and giving some advice on my case. Mr. Khan gave me a very sound consultation that was immensely helpful to my case, and he did not want to charge me anything.
Athar is an absolutely wonderful attorney who I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a family law attorney. Not only is he extremely competent and hardworking, but he is also very kind and he cares. Perhaps his greatest asset however is his honesty. He is NOT the kind of attorney who is out to just take your money as he really does care about his clients. The world needs more attorneys like Athar! USE HIM!

I met Athar to do a small business transaction and prior to meeting him I had read his reviews on Unilocal.After meeting him I agree with all the praise that has been given. I had a business idea that I explained to him and since his specialties also include patent law, he offered some helpful advice that was honest and fair, and it was clear the advice wasn’t solely in his own interests. Like all the other reviews, he seems to be focused on the interests of the client and the best possible outcome of any situation, instead of trying to exploit the situation for personal interest.
I’m glad he gave me advice for my entrepreneurial idea and promised the discretion and privacy that all lawyers are bound by. Also he seemed like a really nice and genuine person who wants to change the world.
Although I don’t have marriage issues of my own, I’ve seen the Netflix documentary Divorce Corp and the poisonous industry of family law. If someone is looking for an antidote out there, Athar is definitely one of them.

Athar Khan is a honest attorney. This may seem unusual, and it probably is. If you don’t need court time he will advise you in a way to minimize unnecessary costs (which is fantastic). He also is sympathetic to the issues I faced as a single parent which is appreciated.
If you care about your kids and want to resolve things in the way that puts them first, I highly recommend you contact Mr. Khan.
