I ran a 5k on 12÷06÷14. This event offered the half, 10k, and 5k. It was very well organized. The run was easy along a creek in Irvine. There was one water station at the 2 mile mark. After crossing the finish line, there was a giant expo/​after party. My boys were at the finish line waiting for me and there were no crowds fighting for a spot.
For the price of the event, it was a great deal! I not only received a customary t-​shirt and medal, but got a free meal after the event (courtesy of three food trucks), and free beer! This event definitely pays for itself. Also, there were plenty of national sponsors so the freebies were plenty. It was a welcoming and lively atmosphere. I recommend this to any beginner (that would be me).
I’m deducting one star because I used a promo code but the discount was not given to me when I registered.
