Cool stuff, but sooo over priced. They mark their prices like their stuff is brand new. You may as well go to a department store and get what ever u need new. This stuff should be much cheaper because most of this stuff either is cosigned (used by other people) or come from a model home, «they say».

Nothing but crap here. I made a $ 3 purchase. Maybe you’ll find your gem stone but I doubt it.

I thought the customer service was great! The man helping us told us all about the item we were looking at and when it arrived and even moved other furniture so we could get a better idea of how it would look in our home.
The ottoman was $ 350, kinda pricey and had some scuffs on the wood and was a bit dirty from being moved around, but it fit the style I was looking for even though the quality wasn’t «$ 350» it was a unique piece.
I bought it and I’m happy… but not ecstatic. I’m a bargain hunter and there aren’t many bargains as this place, but very cute, quality things. Just don’t think you’re going to get a great price coming here and you won’t be disappointed.
Parking is easy and they accept credit cards. All sales are final so be sure you want it!

While it seems other found some pretty awesome deals here — my experience fell short of just that. I’m sure if I spent more time digging through every item, I probably could have found a steal of a deal.
We were told about this place through a mutual friend, and after a few mixed reviews on Unilocal,we thought it was worth the drive out. Upon arriving, we were blown away by the amount of inventory they had inside the warehouse. I was eager to find a steal on any home décor items. We started browsing through some selections on the floor. Some items were in great shape, while other looked beat up and in need of love and elbow grease.
The prices seemed fairly steep compared to other furniture and home décor stores around the area. I actually thought Living Spaces & Home Goods had better deals and prices compared to this place — and at least I’d be buying new instead of «gently used».
I’m not sure if this was worth the drive nor worth the bargains people say they are priced at… maybe some have better luck than others.

The manager, Myra, of this store is so rude. She is so unhelpful and is not flexible on pricing, even with pieces that are damaged and overpriced. I saw an Ikea bookcase that was priced higher than it would cost to get it and have it assembled at Ikea. There were a few bargains but the sofas were way over-​priced. I wouldn’t waste time going here. There are far better places with much better deals and nicer people. Try Home Consignment Center down the road or Cort Furniture Clearance Center.

I look at this as a treasure hunt. They have a wide variety of items, furniture, paintings, lamps, plants, and much much more. I follow them on Facebook and they have a weekly coupon — discount. It takes a while to get through this huge warehouse (they have blankets hanging at the entrance to use if you get cold!!) but if you love the hunt, you’ll get your fix. I got a beautiful pillow yesterday for 1.99 and bar stools for a fraction of their original cost. Don’t take it too seriously– it’s just like the model!

Ok… Am I doing it wrong? What am I not getting about this place?
Just left here. Drove from Redondo Beach. What a disappointment! I love bargain shopping and I love consignment but this place gives no bargains for the used state of its inventory. I saw one blue couch that was a «deal» at $ 550. I also saw a slew of good condition furniture pieces but from $ 250 to $ 1000. But to be honest a lot of the items I saw in this price range you can find something similar if not better brand new!
A good gauge for how expensive they are — throw pillows. You can buy new from $ 10 — $ 17 at TJ Maxx. Here I saw them at $ 17. Used.
Another jaw dropping item which actually made me annoyed was a pottery vessel. Looked like your run of the mill home goods find. I saw a yellow one and a white one — $ 99.99!!!
I can’t believe it. I can’t. This place doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?

Less than one star! Overpriced Overpriced Overpriced! Damaged items for too much money you can get the same item not damaged buying it brand new. No negotiations on prices either. I drove from Fontana and I bought just a frame! If you do find something not damaged its still not a deal. Just buy brand new from a regular store and save yourself the drive

I love this place! I just remodeled and have spent many days here. This is one of my favorite places for unique stuff!

I am a huge fan of JLTM, but I will agree with some other Unilocalers that it is really a hit-​and-​miss. I scored two Ikea poang chairs (one regular with footstool, one rocking chair) for $ 100 total! I’ve also purchased two rugs in great condition (one 8×10, one 11×11) for $ 150 total. My personal favorite section to browse are the books. I’ve purchased some great coffee table books for around $ 5/each.You can find some great buys here, but you have to invest multiple trips sometimes before the right item shows up. Follow them on Facebook because they often post pictures/​prices of new arrivals. They are often the first place I go when I am in the market for furnishings.

Great place for second-​hand home goods and furniture.
Located in an industrial section of Irvine surrounded by other home warehouses. There’s a few constructions going on in the area, so stay alert. One truck nearly ran into me while I was making a U-​turn.
As far as the items, it’s a hit or miss. Plenty of great looking goods, which is reflective of the cost. There are also many items that I felt were overpriced and you are better off purchasing BRAND NEW versions from HomeGoods or slightly used version from the GoodWill.
The quality of the items are good — just needs a little elbow grease. Some chips on the frames, dust on the vases and a little mishandling of the floral arrangements… nothing too severe.
It’s a great place for purchasing high-​end items (if you know what you are looking for) for a fraction of the retail price. Check it out — you may just find lots of treasures!

I haven’t been to the new location on Murphy Street yet, but let me add my 2 cents worth here.
I have been coming to the place for over 10 years now. It is the definition of «Hit and Miss» and the prices can be wildly inconsistent. I have seen the very same stool priced 50.00 different. I have seen really awful things in bad condition priced very high, but then I have seen– and on many occasions scored– extremely high-​end pieces for a fraction of the price. You can not just go one time and expect to find something great… it is truly a hunter’s paradise.
I have furnished probably 50% of my home with JLTM finds. This was over a period of 3 – 5 years, mind you. At one time I visited this place on a weekly basis (I had a similarly addicted friend at the time I’d go with).
Things I scored over the years:
–Bulletin Board, covered with fabric in ornate frame and HUGE $ 12.50
–Misc art pieces, price varied
–BIG mirror, under 100.00
–ceramic decorative pieces, price varied (I have less luck with accessories, to be fair)
–PILLOWS, Bedding… great when they are 50% off
–Upholstered kitchen stools $ 20.00 each
–Stanley MADE IN USA beautiful armoire (see my pic), which I adore but is so huge I couldn’t get it upstairs to my bedroom… $ 300.00
–Highboy dresser, carved solid wood $ 185.00
–set of night tables, beautiful, $ 59.99 each
–pottery barn solid oak dresser for the boy $ 199.00
–beautiful frenchy white washed dresser for the girl $ 69.99
There is probably more, but this is just the stuff in my house I am looking at. hehe.
Now I want to go and look see what they have!

I’m sure if you spend some time here and walk down aisle by aisle you might find some treasure but this place is not really for me. Found out about this place through a friend and decided to give it a shot since we were looking for a desk. Everything we looked at was over $ 200 and nothing looked nice enough to be at that price. I rather just go to ikea and pick out some pieces since none of the things here looked like they would outlast ikea furnitures. They do have some nice looking couch but again, very pricy and I personally would rather go to a furniture store and get them brand new for what I have to pay.

Once again!!! The owner had shown her true color, I have been in a dispute with Just like the Model about the fake jewelry, I had left them in the store and walked when her manager was going to credit my account before she intervened and stopped her. After few month going back and forth with the credit card company they called her and had me on three way so I can arrange to pick up my jewelry so I can have it checked by an expert and send it to my credit card company.
After she told us yes she have them and I can pick them up anytime I was in her store in less than 30 minuets at this time she doesn’t have all of them!!! So from 12 items I got back 6 she said she sold some of them and she will look for the other 2 and call me. That never happen and she didn’t credit me for what she resold!!! Now I can’t prove to my credit card company anything and am out of the money, I have NEVER in my life experienced anything or anyone like that, how can she still be in business is behind my comprehension.

I have been to their last location and today I finally made it to their new location on Murphy St. Actually this is the second time I’ve been here– the first time was a Monday and it was CLOSED!!! So don’t go on a Monday!
Ok so it can be a bit ‘hit and miss’. Know your prices– today I found chargers/​platters still with the price on from World Market, Target and Pier 1. Just Like the Model had them for a few bucks off, so you could buy them new with a coupon and probably get a better deal than at JLTM. Also found damaged stock from Pottery Barn– again accessories– which was only a few dollars off. Absolutely know what things sell for before you go. A lot of items were scratched, cracked, dirty etc or had been glued shut etc for model home staging. So know that you might need to invest some time to get a product that will be functional for you.
Also there is some ‘consignment’ furniture that has not seen the inside of a model home since 1985– just tragic bad furniture, some strange clothing, handbags and whatnot. Didn’t look through that but it might be your thing…
Now for the best part. I found a Ballard Designs King Size bed for under $ 200. It retails for $ 699 plus delivery + tax. I recognised it immediately but sadly I don’t need a bargain king size bed. So I looked a little harder and found a Ballard bench chair with a thick cushion that retails for $ 329 plus $ 90 for the cushion, then add tax and shipping.
Well this bench was one I had actually been contemplating buying so when I saw it at JLTM for $ 179 + tax for the bench and the cushion, I was so happy. The bench was a little rickety but I thought I could easily fix that with a hex key and a screwdriver. Fast forward 5 minutes and it was in my car and we were G-​O-​N-​E. Half an hour later after some attention with the screwdriver and hex key I have a perfect bench for my guest bedroom.
This place is worth a look, and I am quite happy with my purchase today. Make sure you know your prices because not everything here is a bargain.

Good and bad be sure you know about what things cost. I saw a few pieces of furniture that cost more then what you can buy brand new online or in a store (IDENTICAL). Some stuff was good deal and others were overpriced or extremely scratched up crap.

Remodeled my place and needed furniture, I was on the lookout for a sofa, tables, and possibly chairs. I really didn’t want to pay over $ 300 for a couch and look hard for awhile at so many different places. I checked out consignment furniture stores and even looked at goodwill. I was hesitant on purchasing a sofa from goodwill or didn’t see many that looked somewhat clean. Then I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal,read the reviews and googled it. It seemed very intriguing being a warehouse in Irvine that was stocked with the staging items from «model» homes that have all sold. I thought it was a pretty cool concept and I have been through a couple model homes when my folks were looking, so I knew the furniture was going to be good looking and not too used.
When I found this place, I entered the doors and a huge smile came across my face. I was like gold mine!!! They have literally everything here and some items are priced high but give it time then come back, those items will be cheaper the longer they are still in the warehouse.
My first time here I was accepting the fact that I was going to be paying $ 300 – 400 for a nice solid sofa… As I was searching the sofa aisle, I came across this one sofa and the price tag read $ 189. I like had to look or read it twice, I called the employee over and even asked, «is this the correct price?» She responded «yes» and I automatically responded «wait, are you sure it’s not like missing a 0 or another number?» She laughed and told me that was the price and well soldddddddddd!!! Leather looking, comfy, good looking big sofa for under $ 200! I was and still am such a happy customer! I have found many other pieces here like two tables, artwork, plates and pillows. The items here are from stores like Macy’s or crate&barrel and are good quality. Some of the plates or kitchen ware are glued together because well remember these items are from model homes and are meant to be staged. The prices are beyond fair.
Only downside is the transportation or moving any big items you purchased to your home. They provide a service but it’s a bit pricey, I decided to go with the u-​haul. I definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for furniture, changing your place up or just really in the area! They constantly get new items, so it’s a place that you got to or may keep up/​check in with.

Our interior designer brought us here to pick out unique pieces to help furnish our crazy house. Great store with lots of treasures! Staff (girls/​guys) and owner were all friendly and smiles, very professional and polite.
Yes– it is a consignment store so you do have to sift through and spend a bit of time, but
we bought $ 5000 drapes for $ 199 a panel and a gorgeous art piece for under $ 200. Holy cow!

Large warehouse with lots of furnishings ranging from complete living room sets as well as beds with bedding to pictures and other decorative items. Since this is a consignment store — inventory changes and I believe everything is sold «as is». With that said most of the furniture was in good condition. The best part is their pricing — just a quick visit to the furniture stores at SOCO just a couple miles away and you’ll really appreciate Just Like the Model’s prices!
Another nice benefit — no sales person following you around!

I almost don’t want to post this because I want this to be my little secret. So when people are done staging homes, all the furniture goes somewhere right? Shh… it comes here.
Some of it is expensive: $ 30 for mismatched throw pillows.
Some of the merchandise is absolutely destroyed: broken TV hutch
Some items are completely useless: empty wine bottles
But if you make a regular habit of coming here once every few months, you might land upon something cool. I found two silver or pewter colored mint julep type containers from Pottery Barn for under $ 10 each that I have been using to store makeup brushes and pens. We also snagged a modern mid-​century style grey couch that the staff assured us was a really expensive brand (uh huh) on super sale on Friends & Family discount day.
Which brings me to my last point. You should sign up for their mailing list because they send you emails with photos of the new merchandise and coupons.
