I started going to Dr. Lomboy when I worked in Irvine and I stayed with him because he does awesome work. Since then, I’ve had my own family and we all go to him now because there is no one else I trust with my family’s dental health. He and his staff are always very friendly and pleasant and they make you feel like family.
Also, if you have kids in sports, he makes mouth guards that are comfortable to wear and don’t restrict breathing– just like what the pros wear. Other places charge $ 300 for this and since he has his own lab, he makes them for a third of that!

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Lomboy for about 15 years. We’ve moved out of the immediate area but make the trip back to him for our dental needs because no one is better. Not only is his office staff lovely and feel like family, but he truly cares for his patients, makes time for them and feels more like a family member than a busy dentist. We appreciate the honesty and integrity Dr. Lomboy’s entire practice honor. Make them your doctor!
By the way, the televisions at the end of each chair and the view of the outdoors makes the visit go quickly and seem ALMOST like a spa date!

I’ve been going to Dr. Lomboy for years. He is the only dentist I trust. My whole family sees him. I refer my friends to his office often. I’m currently in braces and see him monthly. What a guy! My family and I have been going to Dr. Lomboy for over 15 years. He has always been highly skilled, compassionate, and patient. Over the years, I’ve had to get numerous cavities filled, root canals, crowns and now an implant. He always makes sure that the area is sufficiently numb before the fun begins! I trust his judgement and have never been sorry that I followed his advice. His staff is excellent, too– always cheerful and skillful in their various duties.

Dr Lomboy is great at what he does. Knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything. Made a custom mouth guard for my daughter for hockey as well as doing all of her dental work.

As a daughter of a dentist I’m very picky. Dr. Lomboy and his team have been taking care of my kids and I since 2003. He and his team are top notch. Elise Strain is the best hygienist.

Best dentist I’ve ever had. When I was referred to Dr Lomboy’s office I had a significant amount of dental work to be done. His staff was wonderful and Dr Lomboy was extremely gentle.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lomboy for about 8 years. He does a great job giving painless injections and is very gentle and meticulous! His hygienist, Tasha does a thorough job in cleaning and maintaining my teeth. His staff has been wonderful in providing great care and service and is the only place I trust!

From the moment you walk in you know you’re in good hands. The front office employees are welcoming and helpful. Dr. Lomboy is patient and caring and helped ease my nerves. There a lot of dental offices closer to my home but I am willing to go out of my way to Dr. Lomboy because he is a great dentist!

I was a patient years ago and moved too far to keep going, Now that I am back in town this was the only dentist I would recommend to anyone in the area. Leilani the office manager is amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Lomboy is gentle, caring and has an amazing chairside manor. I would highly recommend becoming a patient at Woodbridge Dental.

Dr. Lomboy is the BEST! My dentist for life! He’s honest and gentle. I have referred many friends and family to his office. My husband had braces done with Dr. Lomboy and loves the results. I had my First crown done and it was painless you can not tell which tooth is a crown. My kids come every 6 months and have never had a cavity.

I have been with Dr. Lomboy for many years now. He is wonderful, and his staff is wonderful! Prior to finding Dr. Lomboy, I had a huge fear of going to the dentist. Not any more. They are professional, experienced, and make you feel comfortable. My entire family comes here and we are just so happy to have found him.

Dr. Lomboy is by far, the BEST dentist I have ever met. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and sincerely cares about his patients. His staff is wonderful, very helpful and caring.
I recently went to see Dr. Lomboy because I was having some discomfort with my teeth. He pointed out that my problem was that I was grinding and clenching my teeth, which I was also getting jaw and ear pain. He recommended me a night guard and he also adjusted my bite. After a few days of wearing my night guard my teeth and jaw pain quickly went away!!! I’m so grateful to have a dentist that is extremely qualified and very professional.
Another thing that I want to point out its that Dr. Lomboy is excellent with kids!!! I took my four year old daughter to see him for the fist time and of course she was a bit scared. Dr. Lomboy was very patient and kind with my daughter, he was able to check and cleaned her teeth without any problems!!! It was definitely a GREAT first experience for my daughter. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lomboy and his staff.

So my college-​freshman son falls off his skateboard heading to class. Does a face-​plant on the curb and snaps his two front teeth in half… damn. I took him to Doc Lomboy in Irvine who we have been going to for years. He was able to bond them without the expense of a crown, all in one visit. They look totally natural, color blended perfectly, no edges… real artistry. Doc Lomboy went to a top dental school (USC) and it shows in his work. Austin was happy and so were we… also worth noting — growing up my son was in sports and Doc Lomboy is great at fixing those kinds of mouth bang-​ups…

I have been going to Dr. Lomboy for over 5 years now, and still love him and his staff! I have never liked a dentist as much as I like him, and am kind of sad I may have to switch because our new dental plan does not have him as an in-​network dentist.
He is such a perfectionist, really kind, and works hard to make sure everything is exactly as it should be. I have never experienced some of these claims other reviewers are saying about upselling, and recommending unnecessary work. If anything, I find Dr. Lomboy to be really conservative in his recommendations. He usually says, «I want to try this first because I don’t want you to get a root canal if you don’t have to», and he’s never given me x-​rays above and beyond what I need. Usually he’ll just take an x-​ray of the area around the tooth that might be bothering me to see exactly where the cavity is, and that’s it! I can’t remember the last time I got a full mouth x-​ray done — except maybe my very first visit?
Every time I need to get work done, they show you the breakdown of costs, so you know exactly what your insurance will cover and what you’ll have to pay out of pocket. For example, I recently came in because I had a bad cavity, and that tooth was completely cracked and weakened because of the decay… so I had to get a crown. Dr. Lomboy walked me through exactly what that tooth looked like, why it was a problem, and what his recommendation would be. Then someone came over, pulled up a screen and showed me the price breakdown for the crown work. Dr. Lomboy even recommended that I do not get the nicest crown (the really white porcelein one) because nobody is going to see it since it’s a tooth in the very back of my mouth. That sounds like the opposite of up-​selling. Anyway, I trust Dr. Lomboy and his staff completely. I’ve also never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room for an appointment either. That is an excellent streak considering I’ve been at this practice for over 5 years now!

I’m terrified of the dentist. I hadn’t been for many years as a result, despite having insurance, and I’d rather have jury duty than go for a check up.
That being said, I would highly recommend this place. It came heavily recommended to me, and I resisted for over a year before I just absolutely had to go.
The place is clean and nice, staff are all friendly, and I swear there’s no normal scary dentist smell at all to trigger the onset of your fears. They make sure you’re comfortable and numb before they get into it via a rinse, topical ointment, or a shot. They use a bit of the ointment before they give you the shot, so even the needle doesn’t hurt.
I had a check up, deep cleaning, and two fillings done so far. I’ll put it this way – I could’ve fallen asleep during the fillings (I can sleep through loud noises). Not because it was comfortable, but because it was so painless.
I’m loyal for life to this place now. I’m also a firm believer that a good and painless dentist that you’re comfortable with is worth every penny. However, being realistic, I have my own financial obligations and Dr. Lomboy worked with me on a payment plan option. I’d gladly drive from my home in LA to this place anytime.

we have lived in Irvine for 11 years and have gone through 4 dentists. Dr. Lomboy is the first one that we really like and will stick with. He is great with the kids as well as the parents. He is straight forward, honest, and only recommends services you really need.

Dr. Lomboy was highly recommend by two ex coworkers of mine. I’ve been going to him for about 10 yrs.
I had lots of work done, from root canals to crowns and even gum lengthening surgery. I grew up in Brazil and the dental technology back then was not the greatest so when I started going to Dr. Lomboy he suggested that I change out all my silver fillings to porcelain. It wasn’t just for aesthetics purposes but since the old amalgam was starting to shrink, it was forming cavities around the old fillings.
I did get them all replaced and haven’t had any issues so far.
I have a problematic #4 tooth which I was told (12 yrs ago) by a previous dentist that I would need to have it removed and have an implant done ASAP.
Dr. Lomboy believes that keeping your natural tooth (as long as you can) is the way to go. He suggested a gum lengthening surgery so the crown would have more surface to «grab on». Over a decade ago, implants were not as popular as they are today, the technology wasn’t there and I was scared to do it so I decided to do the gum lengthening surgery instead. It was painless and quite fast, I went back to work straight from the dental office.
He has a great team working with him as well! His entire staff is super friendly and professional as well.
His office open office design works really great, patients don’t feel claustrophobic and you get to watch your own TV while getting your work done!
Dr. Lomboy has always been very comforting and gentle with all his procedures which makes me feel less anxious. He was able to fix my smile without making me traumatized! I can honestly say «I don’t hate going to the dentist».
I highly recommend Dr. Lomboy!

Not good! I went to Dr. Lomboy for a few years and had a few crowns done. He told me I needed several more because there were cavities around my old crowns. At first I believed him because he seemed honest. However, I began having second thoughts about his work after a bungled root canal he performed (perforated one of the canals and missed another one entirely!!!). An endodontist had to fix his work, what a TOTAL nightmare! After that, I started seeing another dentist, who told me I did not need any more work done. Hmmmmmm… according to Dr. Lomboy, I needed several more crowns?
Always get a second opinion!
FYI, check out Dr. Lomboy’s license status at the California Dental Board website, click license verification. He has been disciplined and HIS LICENSE IS ON PROBATION. This is from other incidents, UNRELATED TO MINE.
Update 10÷7÷2012: One of the crowns Dr. Lomboy did 3 years ago fell off! I had to have it recemented. Thanks Doc!

Thanks Dr, Lomboy With your help, we got my biggest baby into the treatment chair!
He was so scared to have his root canal, he literally played basketball the next day!
I think he really trusted Dr Lomboy, he said they talked basketball, I guess thats all it took. My son actually asked me if Dr, Lomboy could take his Wisdom teeth out! Best of all they accept our insurance, which isnt the best. I am grateful to have found this office and hope to take all my children there.
