Jess is so nice. We had a new born session and few family sessions with her. I needed the pictures for my sons red egg and ginger party and she drove all the way to my house to drop it off to me. Love love all her work!

Jess did a great job on my boudir photo!!! She made me feel comfortable in my skin. The session was fun, I got my portrait just in time. Can’t wait to do another one with her. I highly recommend Jess. If there were 10 stars I Will give her 10 stars.

I recently bought an hour session with JEssography for $ 75, which includes one print & a CD of both edited and unedited photos. (2−20−15)The shoot was a lot of fun! My fiancé and I felt so comfortable w/​Jess, as if we’d known her for years! After the session, Jess sent me, I think it was 6 sneak peaks within an hour! They were awesome! We can’t wait to see them all!

In April 2012, I bought a LivingSocial voucher for $ 75, which included a CD of the images and some prints. It took about a week for her to give me the CD, super fast! Jess was great at returning phone calls, emails, and texts.
Flash forward to present time… at the beginning of January, I remembered that the package I bought included prints. My fault for dropping the ball and forgetting. From January through March, I’ve emailed her 4 times, and she’s not responded back about those prints.
Maybe she’d probably deleted my pictures due to her growing business and needed to make room which is fine but at least let me know and don’t leave me hanging!

I received a living social voucher as a birthday gift from one of my clients. I hadn’t had professional pictures taken of my family for a while so I was looking forward to it. I tried calling multiple times to schedule an appointment and she never returned my call. Eventually the voucher expired. I had to go back to my client and tell her Jessography never made good on her voucher. She contacted living social and said to contact her by email. I finally received an email back saying my voucher has expired but she will give me a 30min session but I have to travel up to San Francisco now. I won’t recommend her to anyone.

We found Jessography through a living social deal. My boyfriend and I wanted to do an on location photoshoot and we found a great deal so we decided to try it out. We were very pleased with the pictures! We were so nervous because this was our first location photoshoot. Jess made us feel comfortable and she definitely captured the perfect pictures of us. We definitely recommend Jess because her talent is amazing! We recently got engaged and of course we came back for more! Jess photographed our engagement session and maternity session recently. We absolutely love the pictures! Her work is beautiful as always. Don’t pass her up because she will definitely capture your special moments!!! Thanks Jess! We will definitely be seeing her for more of our events!

My wife got her living social deal and had the exact same issues as everyone else has mentioned — she was late, unprofessional, the CD of photos took MONTHS to arrive, were totally mediocre (at best), and we never got the prints that were part of the deal. Pass.

Horrible. Will never use her again. Took photos on sept 3, 2013 and just received them this Monday January 27, 2014 with the help of contacting living social not once, not twice, but three times. Living social was a great help. Without them I would have never seen my photos, which by the way were awful. I waited so long and the photos were terrible. I would have been better off having my 6 year old take the photos.
Do not use.

We bought a living social deal and took our pictures at the beginning of November. On the day of the shoot she was half an hour late and texted me as she was on her way. The hard part was we had a 2 month old and I expressed to her that we had a very limited time window given how little he was. The shoot lasted 30 mins bc we had to try to keep him busy while we waited for her and by the time she arrived he was pretty much ready for his nap. She offered to have the pictures done early enough for us to get holiday cards done, but two weeks after the shoot I received 4 «sneek peaks» and nothing else. I’ve been trying to contact her regarding the pics and still have received nothing. We even tipped her an extra 40 since the deal seemed so good… apparently we were wrong. Very disappointed at this point.

I bought a LivingSocial voucher ($ 75) in January for a One-​Hour On-​Location Photo Session, CD of 50 High-​Resolution Images, and 20 Prints.
We had the session in June 2013. We had my husband, my two small children and 2 grandparents. She charged us $ 45 extra to include the grandparents. There was no mention of a limit on # of people in the photo shoot but I paid anyway.
We are STILL WAITING for any product whatsoever. I have sent multiple emails, voice mails. I have never been angry or rude in my messages, to the contrary I even sent words of support to her in August when she wrote back about an ill family member.
The result — NO PHOTOS, NO CDs… and she has taken $ 75 + $ 45 of our money.

Horrible horrible photographer. worst experience from a professional ive ever had… i was a maid of honor for my best friends wedding on june 29 her mother booked and paid for Jess in full prior to wedding. Jess was late for wedding we had to wait for her to arrive before we could start :(she finished… and promised to uphold her contract and get the photos and CD to my best friend SHE HAS NOT RECEIVED HER WEDDING PHOTOS it is now sept 30… over 3 months and no photos!!! Cds nothing except excuses of family emergency! My friend understood and waited patiently but still nothing 3 months later… i also just got married sept 21 2013 last week and I DID Not use jess and have received my photos… this is an outrage! Not professional and heartless!!! She does not have the memories of her special day from JUNE!!! I emailed jess for a quote on my wedding in july she was willing to take my deposit and made it clear to be paid in full but was available to do my wedding sept 21 !!! But she is to busy to get my friend or even respond to our cries for something anything from her special day!!! Horrible human being!!!

We paid Jess $ 60 cash in advance for a CD with all the RAW images of the photos from our photoshoot. Jess gave me a CD, but it didn’t have the RAW files on it, it only had jpegs (which we already had). We asked repeatedly via email for the RAW files, and several times Jess said she’d get us what we paid for. This was several months ago, and after repeated requests, we still don’t have the files we paid for. So Jess got $ 60 and we got nothing. This is not only unproffesional, it’s stealing. I either want the RAW files or I want my money back.
We also selected several images for prints from our shoot, and we never relieved those either.

I wanted to use it for my son’s 4.5-year old photos (around May/​June). The voucher expiration date was July 9, 2013. I contacted Jessyka Marquez on June 10^th to request an appointment (ok, my bad for thinking that one month would be sufficient time to request a photo session). She replied that her next availability would be ⁷⁄₂₈ at 9/​10am, but that she would still honor the voucher, since I contacted her before the expiration date. Cool, I thought.
So in the next 6 weeks, we made special arrangements for my dad and BF to be in the pictures too, and we even moved travel plans so that we could make this appointment. We were super excited about taking family photos (they are a big deal for me especially, since I am usually behind the camera, and I rarely get photos with my son).
At 8:11pm on Saturday, ⁷⁄₂₇ (less than 14 hours before our scheduled appt time), I got a text from Jessyka stating: Hello Jill. due to visiting my grandpa tomorrow I will have to r/​s our session. I will contact you once I can r/​s. thank you. O
WTH? I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt — perhaps she meant she had to visit her grandpa in the hospital or something, in which case, she could’ve just said she had a family emergency, I would have understood — but she texted me less than 24 hours prior to our appt time to tell me that she was canceling the shoot, and there was no apology for the inconvenience (and it was), nor any information on when you might be contacting me to reschedule? So, it could be next week, next month or next year?
Today, I noticed the fine print on the deal voucher, and it reads: Merchant cancellation/​re-​scheduling policy of 48 hours applies; voucher subject to forfeiture
Interesting — so if I had cancelled last night, I would’ve had to forfeit the voucher, but since she was the one who cancelled, I am at the mercy of whenever she will be available next? Needless to say, I am very unhappy with this unprofessionalism and lack of customer service and have requested a refund from LivingSocial.

Jess did a wonderful job on my graduation photo session. I just wanted to take some very simple grad photos with cap and gown and ended up wishing to have thought of having her shoot on the day of commencement! The photo session was fun as she made me feel comfortable, cracking jokes with me and suggesting flattering poses. She also works with a talented hair and makeup artist which was very convenient. I was very pleased with the final products and so was my family! Thanks Jessography!

Just purely bad. I went through reviews and bought a deal.
She is really bad with small kids. In her CD literally 2 of the shots were clear and well taken. None of the others were close to even satisfactory. I think we could have taken with my canon. The post-​processing was just plain horrible.
Also, i think she does not know to direct a photo.
We were so disappointed that we could not even get print of the photos done. eh…

Jess did an amazing job! She took pictures at the location of our choice of my family (two young kids and hubby=NOT easy), and was professional and easy-​going the entire time. She took great shots in a variety of settings and was super easy to work with. You cannot beat her price. She is a great steal and really worth every penny!

We had purchased the Living Social thinking what a great deal– We definitely got what we paid for. I thought as we were doing the session things were going great. My daughter was only 5 months so our session was cut short by 30 min because she was tired and not cooperating for more pics. Jess said in a couple days we would get sneak peaks. We got the sneak peaks and loved them– couldn’t wait to get CD and see more of the images. We finally got the CD and started going through pics trying to decide what we loved and wanted to order for our 20 sheets. We also were going to order a 16X20 for a frame we had used in some of the pics. Jess told me the extra price and that was fine– I asked her to crop the photo a certain way and after 2 or 3 tries it just wasn’t what we wanted so we settled for the original. When we got our sheets I was so disappointed. The 16×20 was so grainy and she had her watermark on it still. I emailed her immediately and told her how upset I was and asked if she could fix it. Her reply was all sales final– no exchanges or reprints. She said whenever you enlarge a photo there is possibility of distortion or grain. She never mentioned that in our emails leading up to the order– A heads up would have been nice so I could have been prepared. As for the watermark she mentioned I was the only client that didn’t like it. She said she only removes watermark if clients ask– I would have asked for it to be removed had I known! Again, not mentioned in one email. I also had noticed I only received 19 prints and was missing a sheet of wallets. I emailed her about the missing sheet and her response was «I am pretty sure I gave you all the prints and even counted it before I sent it to you».
I had someone look at my CD and they said the resolution of the photos were only web quality, very low resolution and no matter how good my printer is I will not be able to print a good quality photo.
I would have given higher rating for just the photo session but with all the issues we ran into in the end I could not give a better rating.

We got a deal through LivingSocial for a two hour photo shoot with Jessography (the worst $ 50 spent!). It was a pain to book our photo shoot. Jess didn’t return our phone calls/​texts on time. We had to contact LivingSocial for a refund, which didn’t work out. After a month of missed phone calls, voicemails, texts, she said she could squeeze us in (she was overbooked). She didn’t talk much or try to engage our kids during the photo shoot. She didn’t have a flash, reflector or any photo equipment besides her camera. She didn’t try to compose photos – not saying everyone should look at the camera – but she just didn’t move around at all. So, the composition in our photos is awful. At the end of the first hour, she said she was done. A month later, she mailed us our photo CD, which has ~350 photos and of which 90% are blurry. I cannot imagine a professional photographer to look at those photos and say these are good enough for the client to see. Either her camera was malfunctioning or her skillset is limited. She shouldn’t have sent those blurry photos and instead she should have asked if we were interested in another photo shoot or give us a refund. The only photo editing she did was to put her logo on the bottom right corner of each picture. I’d definitely not recommend Jessography.
Response to Owner’s Comment… This review is about our experience with Jessography so that people hear the good and the bad about your business. It is not meant to change how you conduct your business or how you deal with your clients publicly, it is meant to let everyone know how our money and time were wasted. Do not take it personally. We have a CD full of blurry photos and nothing else matters at this point. Attached you will see photos from our shoot (only a couple of photos have been selected to protect the privacy of our kids, no photo editing has been done on our side).

Jessica is an absolute professional. She is so patient with children and really takes the time to capture the essence of each photo she takes. My children were not very cooperative but yet she was able to capture photos that were just amazing! I highly recommend Jessica for anyone in need of a photographer. I will definitely be asking her to do another family shoot. Thanks Jessica!

The only word to explain the quality, experience & skills that Jessica possesses is – amazing!
This is an overdue review on my wonderful experience for a photoshoot I did with my son. Jessica was so patient with my pesky 4 year old and she took so many amazing shots that captured various candid moments. My son is naturally shy with new people, but because of her good nature and fun spirit, he opened up instantly. I highly recommend Jessica if you’re looking for a great photographer!

Jess was good with taking pictures. But her background had lines in them which showed in my pictures. And I have yet to get the high res pictures on a CD. She has sent me .5mb res pics TWICE and has not sent the original high res ones. I’m very disappointed because this was my son’s first birthday pictures and it’s very valuable to us.

Jess is a very fun photographer to shoot with. She’s very professional and accomodates your needs. She has a lot of fresh ideas and is flexible. She’s done two shoots for my boyfriend and I and they were very fun and stress free. She also has studio set ups and a makeup artist available for package deals. When I get married I’m going to have jessOgraphy shoot for me forsure because I know what quality and professionalism I will encounter.
