Irvine Acupuncture

After a year of suffering from a right SHOULDER injury, I finally decided to try acupuncture and found Irvine Acupuncture. Reza immediately went to work on my shoulder and after the first session, most of the nagging shoulder pain subsided! After several more sessions, I’m pretty much pain free!
I can’t say enough on how glad I am with Irvine Acupuncture. Reza is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and the office is very clean.

I have had 3 sessions at Irvine Acupuncture now and I have to say I feel great. I have suffered from chronic migraines for many years. I’ve been on and off various medications mostly barbituates (the pain is that bad) and after 2 sessions I was migraine free for 3 months. I need to keep going to Dr. Reza to ensure I keep them at bay and don’t have to take all that medication. I also have sciatica which Dr. Reza was able to help with as well. If you’re concerned that acupuncture will hurt because it involves needles, don’t be! It’s a totally pain-​free process and in fact very relaxing.

I am so glad a previous co-​worker of my husband recommended Dr. Reza. Dr. Reza takes the time to listen and explain the source of the problem. It’s great that he also explains to you the treatment that will be performed. Not only does he provide the acupuncture therapy he recommends stretching exercises and provides follow-​up via email to make sure you are okay. Since I have been going to him, the pain has subsided.
Although my job consists of sitting, there are times it will flare up again, however, with just a few treatments the pain goes away. I’m much happier with this method of treatment than having to take pain relievers.
I’m a true believer in acupuncture now and feel anytime I have discomfort I know I can call Dr. Reza to help resolve the problem.
The office is not only clean; it is in a great location which allows for me to go during my lunch hour or even after work. If you are looking for an office in Orange County, I definitely recommend Dr. Reza.

I came to Irvine Acupuncture after suffering for over a year with Chronic Migraine Headaches and Vertigo (MAV). I tried Irvine Acupuncture for my chronic hip pain. After receiving a steroid injection 4 months ago, my pain progressed again after a workout. I researched acupuncture and decided to give it a try instead of my traditional methods I have used to treat the pain (anti-​Inflammatories, steroid shots, etc) I found Reza’s office on Unilocal.After 2 treatments my pain was gone! Scheduling an appointment is very easy and his office is very nice. He took a lot of time to understand the best treatment for me. He also communicated to me promptly via email with any questions I had regarding my treatment. I was shocked how soon I had recovered. Many thanks to Reza. I will definitely keep seeing him in the future.

It has been probably 5 years since I went to Irvine Acupuncture and I am still enjoying a pain free back! I probably went 4 – 5 times for long term chronic back pain. Prior to this, I went to a spine specialist, physical therapist, and saw an athletic trainer 4x a week for about 8 months. Nothing gave me any relief for more than about an hour at a time. I came here and in one session felt 90% better and after a few more sessions, I felt almost totally healed. 5 years later and I’m still in great shape.

Acupuncture, in my opinion and experience, it has been the best pain killer and anti-​inflammatory treatment I have ever had! The thought of needles made me nervous; nonetheless, with Reza’s techniques and patience I confronted the idea and it has been his acupuncture treatment what has brought me back to better health after a very serious cervical spinal surgery. Thank you Reza, it has been a blessing finding such a great acupuncturist as you. You have contributed to my well being beyond your imagination. I picked up tennis after a long hiatus. Shortly after that I picked up tennis elbow.
Ice and ibuprofen did not alleviate the constant pain. I decided to give Accupunture a try. Since Reza is in my building, I stopped in for a couple of sessions.
Amazing results. The tennis elbow resolved 80% a week after the first session. A couple of weeks later, I had a follow up visit and that did the job.
I have to fess up: I was not a compliant patient. I didn’t drink the herb packets fearing it would interact with my Western supplements. But very happy to report the tennis elbow went completely away.
As for the racquets, we’ve put them away until I get a coach. Not risking another injury.

I am so so grateful to Reza at Irvine acupuncture. I had persistent hiccups for 7 days– every breath with a hiccup. Couldn’t sleep well and tried urgent care, emergency room, ct scan and saw a gastroentelogist. A little helpless, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time and called Reza.
I went there and in a day or so my hiccups stopped. I felt more calm and just can’t thank Reza enough. I have become a huge believer in Acupuncture and would highly highly recommend Irvine acupuncture.

I would highly recommend Irvine Acupuncture. I have received so far 7 treatments and have noticed a positive difference in how I feel overall after each treatment. I plan to continue receiving further treatments.
Rey’s demeanor is very professional as well as knowledgeable. I felt right away at ease speaking with him, and I appreciated his honesty in answering my questions. I never felt rushed nor ignored during any of my appointments.
I will admit that I am not the ideal patient, especially since I have a issue with arriving late or even forgetting my appointment due to my busy work schedule. Rey has been very patient, understanding, and flexible with my situation.

Ok update on my injury. After a year long of dealing with a pain under my left buttocks it is completely gone! Thank you so much Rey!

Awesome! I had acupuncture one other time but it didn’t seem to help. This experience was much different and much better. I had been dealing with constant pain but after a few sessions the pain had lessened a lot. I am also noticing a huge difference in my sleep as well as my over all tension level. Highly recommend!

The treatment I’ve been receiving at Irvine Acupuncture has been life changing to say the least. In addition to the acupuncture itself, Ray also incorporates microcurrent therapy and breathing exercises as well. The combination of the 3 have made a noticeable difference. As with anything, YMMV, but I’m a satisfied customer.

I am not new to acupuncture. I have had acupuncture treatments in Europe, Australasia & in the USA. I saw some OC acupuncturist before seeing Reza Tafazoli & I was not overly impressed. I am writing this review because I’ve just completed 7 visits with Reza & I am greatly impressed not only with his professionalism but with his character as an evolved & caring human being. It began with a phone call after I found Irvine Acupuncture online & had read some positive Unilocal reviews. When I called & spoke to Reza, he was professional & polite & took my contact info, including my email. He then promptly sent me a digital calendar event to confirm my appointment. So I did not have to do anything except to accept the calendar event & all the info was attached. More impressively however was the fact that Reza wanted to know my concerns. I explained to him that for 3 weeks I’d had pain in the lower thoracic region along the right side of my spine & was having muscle weakness in my legs. My legs were turning to jelly; felt weak & shaky & I had even had some trouble walking; it was very frightening. I was also suffering with pins & needles in my feet for over 12 months since having had surgery. Reza told me he would send me an instructional lumbar stretch video & asked me to follow it. I was impressed. How many doctors take the time over the phone to ask about your condition & then immediately start providing you help? On my first visit, Reza took the time to listen to all my concerns. Honestly, I don’t enjoy having the needles inserted, however as soon as the needles were in position & the heat lamps on me & I was instructed on my breathing, the relaxation I felt was immediate & euphoric. For me it was undeniable that something was happening. After the 1^st treatment, I didn’t really notice anything but a couple of days later I did begin to feel a little better. Then after the second treatment I felt even better. With each treatment, I reached a high level of relaxation & calm that was simply amazing. I was really enjoying the blissful state I kept obtaining. On my 3^rd visit I said you know you could turn up the music up a bit louder to camouflage the office noises. On the next visit Reza surprised me with headphones & he placed them on my ears leaving me to marinate with the needles, the heat-​lamps & some nice music. Honestly, from my experience, most doctors would take my comment negatively; most doctors would not even be receptive & would let there ego get in the way but Reza has an open heart & listens & does his best to make his patients happy, that is what was truly evident to me & for me… that makes all the difference. After my 5^th visit, I suddenly realized my back pain was gone. It was just totally gone… then I realized wow, I haven’t had my legs going to jelly either. By this stage, Reza had incorporated electricity & I felt my body responding in a positive way, gradually more so with each treatment. Reza never tried to sell me any herbal medicines/​supplements even though I saw he has some great products there. I don’t know if Reza sells herbal medicines or supplements, but I had told him on the 1^st visit, that one issue I’d had with a previous acupuncturist was that I had been sold a Chinese herbal medicine that contained pig gelatin, after I had made a full disclosure both verbally & on my patient form that I was Kosher & did not consume pork/​shellfish. But that acupuncturist did not seem to either know his products well enough & or did not heed my warning, nor understand the importance of it. On my 6^th visit to Reza I turned up 30 min late only I thought I was on time. When I walked into his office he was not upset at all, he simply said oh I thought you weren’t coming & said he had just sent me an email & I said what do you mean I’m only 2 min late…& he said Oh, I have you down for 3 p.m. So I checked the event in my calendar & sure enough I had confused the appt. time with the previous appt. so I immediately apologized & said, «I’m sorry, my mistake, do you still have time to treat me?» He was not in the least bit agitated. On my 7^th visit I told Reza I didn’t want to schedule another appointment & needed a break from acupuncture, so I said goodbye & left. I guess I was in a blissful zombie state, because when I got outside to my car Reza called out… he was holding my drink that I had forgotten & had run out to give it to me. He didn’t have to do that. He could have just said to himself well she forgot it, if she wants it she will come back for it, or he could have just tossed it into the trash can, but no, that is not his the kind of person he is, he is thoughtful & kind & went out of his way to give it to me. In conclusion, Reza is a highly skilled acupuncturist that conducts his business in a very professional manner. His offices are clean & modern & he is one of the most caring human beings you will have the pleasure of working with.

A lot of people are skeptical of acupuncture but this was my first time trying it and I am now a believer! I called to make an appointment and Reza was able to squeeze me in on the same day. He and his wife are very friendly and the office is clean and welcoming.
I hurt my wrist while participating in color guard and my muscle was inflamed and unable to turn without hurting. After one session I had no pain the next day and was able to resume practice. After learning that I had an audition in two weeks and needed full function of my wrist, Reza fit me into his schedule with more sessions and was very accommodating.
One session is about 45 minutes of lying in a dark, quiet room under small heat lamps. Putting the needles in wasn’t painful at all, you just feel a small amount of pressure and then the area where it’s applied has a little tingling or itching sensation. If you’re scared of trying acupuncture because of the needles, there is no need to be nervous because they are tiny and you can barely feel them.

Dr. takes his time and is very consultative. I look forward to my bi-​weekly weekly visits.

Recently went through 8 acupuncture sessions as well as cupping for a pinched nerve in my neck and feel great. I appreciated the location, cleanliness of the office, and the sessions are about 1 hour so you feel like you are getting your moneys worth. Will definitely repeat and recommend a visit.

My wife and I both we have been seeing him for almost 1 year he is professional and compassionate and he cares about his patient’s well being.
we both were suffering from herniate disk and sciatica and with his help we can do our everyday routine and our pain is manageable. my wife still goes regularly and doesn’t miss a week

I will be going to my appointment tomorrow but I’m Unilocaling now because they were able to accommodate me after Groupon was unable to help fulfill the purchase I made.
I feel that this doctor actually cares about practicing Good business. Very important for future visits and has made me want to continue as a client.

I was planning to visit my mum in Laguna Beach and found a Groupon for Irvine Acupuncture. She had been suffering from what sounded like severe sciatica and was scheduled for cortisone shots (which I discouraged her from having). I made an appointment for her, and it would be the very first acupuncture treatment she had ever had. We were an hour late (my plane/​car pickup was delayed) but she was accomodated into the schedule, treated with kindness and compassion and given an extensive consult/​treatment. Her pain was completely resolved within 4 days of the one treatment she had that day. She and I were both amazed and delighted as she felt better every day after just one treatment until she was pain free.
If I ever move back to Orange County you can be sure that I will be a regular at Irvine Acupuncture! If I could give them 6 stars, I would!
