The food has always been satisfactory. Nothing below standard of what’s us expect from ihop. Pancakes are always nice and fluffy, their sirloin and eggs is surprisingly yummy. The servers are luck of the draw. I’ve had one server bring me whipped cream on pancakes when I asked her not to, and when I mentioned it she says«oh, you’ll be okay it’s not that much whip.» What??? I could’ve thrown a bigger fit, but decided to cut my losses and save the energy. I’ve also had a server that brought me a Sundae and sang to me for my birthday. So it’s certainly not all bad.

I came here for my birthday. Food was okay, nothing special, but service was very lackluster. The server only came around to my table twice – the first time to take orders and the second time to give the bill. Now normally that wouldn’t have been a problem for me, but the way this particular establishment works is that when it comes to paying the bill, you have to pay your server personally yourself, there’s no cash register up at the front where you can pay(which would make things a whole lot easier). Because of that, I had to sit and wait for a very long time for someone to come take the bill and give me my change because the server was nowhere to be found after he gave me the bill. I’ve had better service than this at another location in NorCal.

Just had the worst dinning experience of my life. Walked into stand at the front desk for almost five minutes before a bus boy grunted for us to follow him. It went down hill from here. A very rude waiter took our order. Never brought us drinks. When we finally got up and went to the kitchen to get a Diet Coke, they brought it out in a dirty glass… which matched my dirty spoon. Absolutely disgusting! Asked for salsa for my average omelet, but it never arrived. Both my wife and I felt sick after our meals. Overall, a terrible experience. Do not go here!!!

Their method of not losing customers to wait times is simple: blatantly lie to them about it. I get that they’re busy, but we could’ve gone somewhere else or spent an hour doing something else if they had simply given us wait time that was at least remotely realistic. Instead, they told us «15 to 25 minutes» and we got to stand around in the waiting area for a god-damn hour. When one of us asked them about it, they said«You’re next,» before calling four other parties. To add insult to injury, we had to sit there and listen to them tell everyone who walked in «25 minutes,» which there was no possible way they are unaware is a bullshit time by that point. After we’ve surpassed triple the wait time they gave us, another party member asked about it, to which they responded by denying ever saying 25 minutes. Denying something we all plainly heard them say was retarded enough on its own, but they denied it while they continued giving that BS wait time to others. Not only that, but they added«we only have 3 tables that can have a party of 6.» If the entire restaurant, including the waiting room, is full and you can’t figure out that the wait time will take longer then it takes to barely cook the food, then you’re either braindead or full of shit. Waitress was great. The experience was ruined by the hosts…

Been waiting for 50mins after a 15 – 20 min wait time. Every time I asked the host when we’re next, she keeps saying«oh, you’re coming up now». Waited 20 mins later and had my friend complain that the host said we’d wait for 15−20mins. The host said to her that I was a liar for saying that we had a 15−20mim wait time.

I understand that on certain days, especially a Saturday, that a restaurant would be crowded. That’s just part of the industry. What I had a problem with was the service. Not all the service, but the several hosts working the front and managing the crowd. When a 20 minute wait time nearly triples with no explanation, it’s an issue. When nearly everyone who walks in gets ahead of you, it’s a problem. And when a host has the colossal balls to get frustrated with us for asking why, you have to wonder what necromancer raised a yapping flapping pile of walrus leather and gave them a job at IHOP. Some simple honesty would’ve went a long way. As you can inagine, most people have better things to do then wait in a crowded room and be lied to. We weren’t the only ones. The way she spoke down to those working with her was also a ten on the bitch scale. I love IHOP, but this one needs to choose better hosts instead of grabbing the loudest nag off the street and putting her in an apron.

Typically IHOP is an expensive place to have breakfast however their weekday limited time combo specials are affordable and great. Today I’m trying their banana break French toast and its delish.

Great service, good food, great prices. Kids eat free. Whoot whoot. Super clean. Only complaint and reason for 4 stars. WAY, WAY, WAY to much bleach in bathroom. My sinuses are Bruning right now and I’ve got a headache from the fumes. Holy cow. I was only in there to change my child and wash her dinner off her face. Okay, it’s been an hour and I still have a headache and my sinuses still feel burnt. Yeah, if I come back I won’t be going into the bathrooms

Rude service. My friends and I arrived at this IHOP on Black Friday 2015 at 6:20am. There was a sign posted on the front door saying that they would open at 6:00am on Black Friday. Again, we arrived at 6:20am and they were supposed to be open already. They were not open yet. After waiting 10 minutes, we knocked on the door. No one came out from the back. My friend decided to call this IHOP and they answered. «Um hi you’re supposed to be open at 6am and it’s 6:30???» They hang up and come to the front to open the door. A female disgruntled server unlocks the door and walks away. Unlocks and then walks away. No greeting, no «Welcome!», doesn’t even push the door open. This was just laughable. Food was mediocre but it’s IHOP. What do you expect? Side note: I feel like $ 3.29 for OJ is a little steep. Am I right? Wasn’t a good experience for the day after Thanksgiving. Thanks IHOP.

Food was good. My waffles were huge and I like that you have options when it comes to the syrup. Pecan and blueberry are my fave. Took off 2 stars because we felt rushed by our server. She came over as soon as we sat and asked what we wanted to drink. We had barely sat so we didn’t know yet we didn’t have the chance to open the menu so we just asked for water until we were ready. She came back like a minute later to take our food order. It must have been no more than 3 minutes after we got our food that she came to us with the check. I don’t like how she assumed we didn’t want actual drinks. We felt rushed. After we finished eating we had to wait for her to come around again. Not happy.

Me and my boyfriend go to Ihop all the time to eat and we don’t expect amazing service(it’s like expecting great service at McDonald’s), but we do expect to be acknowledged. We sat down and got our drinks and waited a total of 25 – 30 minutes before being asked what we wanted to eat. We really should’ve left at that point. But pancakes. Will never wait that long again for service. Thanks for nothing ihop of Irvine And the rude lady with glasses.

Comparing to other IHOP, this location is pretty clean. Maybe it’s not busy, the service is very nice. I always have great experience when I come here every time. Also, they provide kid-free promotion; pick up the right time, you could enjoy a good time here with paying only $ 15 – 20 with your kid.

Holy crap IHOP, what happened? I figured that a brand new branch in a new part of upscale Irvine would have high standards and provide good service. What did we receive? Very slow service with inedible food of low quality. Waitstaff run around like chickens sans heads. We were forgotten about, 4⁄4 orders screwed up, received cold and hard food piecemeal after waiting over an hour after ordering. While I appreciate taking the tip cost off the bill, why you would even charge us for cold inedible food is beyond me. Either bring new hot dishes or don’t charge us. And don’t act confused why we’re upset when 6 tables around us, all of varying sizes, all got meals before we did after being seated later. Unilocalers, avoid this place like the plague. Unless you like crappy food and even worse service.

After placing an order for pick up, I realized when I got home they did not include some items that I was charged for. We called to have our money reimbursed and they did not answer their phone. On the third time calling, a woman answered the phone and said«this is iHop, what do you want». Are you serious? How dare you speak to pay customers that way. When we explained what happened, she put us on hold. After we were put on hold for over 5 minutes, no one ever came to the phone. I can’t believe they treat their customers like this. This place literally needs to go out of business. I am furious!

I will give your location 1 star because I have to. Unilocal might want to consider negative stars in the future. I’m not going to spend a lot of time on this review because frankly I want to forget about the experience. I ordered the 2×2×2. Two sunny side up eggs, two sausage links, and two pancakes. I received the eggs extremely burnt, two sausage links so burnt they were black. The two pancakes were slightly colder than room temperature as well. I repeatedly hit the plate with one of the sausage links and believe I could have cracked it if I would have continued. The waitress did ask my wife and me how things were at which time my wife pointed to my plate. So I will say the waitress brought me two new room temperature links, thank you. So while my wife ate her strawberry whatevers, I fiddled with my breakfast managing to get a couple of bites down. At this time I have to ask. IHOP, what has happened to you? There was a time that I actually going to breakfast at you restaurant. Recently though your food and food has been really falling short. I’m not sure where you find your employees anymore, but they certainly lack in the area of cooking, and the service is at bare minimum. I highly doubt I will be returning. At least not until I see better reviews being posted. Sorry Gary the Unilocal Fanatic. Photo posted

«IHop –Jamboree!» I’ve never had breakfast at iHop before and I haven’t always been a fan of pancakes so I skipped it and Spinach and Mushrooms Omelette! Certainly, an omelette isn’t going to fill me up so I ordered a side of bacons and hash browns. The waitress, Maria, is very attentive and checked on the table frequently to see how we are doing with our drinks and if we needed anything. I left very pleased asking myself why I waited so long because this omelette is amazing!

Conveniently located in The Marketplace, whenever I am craving breakfast for dinner, we go here. This place is pretty busy in the morning, but come afternoon and dinner time you could pretty much walk in and get a seat. Service is hit or miss, but we have had majority good service here. They always greet you when you walk in the door and get you seated right away around dinner time. Breakfast time — expect at least a 30 minute wait. My usual is the French Toast Combo. I get the strawberry and whipped cream French Toast with scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. Unless you love the strawberry syrup tell them light strawberry syrup because my last experience they overdid it… Overall, the service here is good. Food is okay. Good enough if you are craving breakfast for dinner that’s for sure.

Slow service and not very friendly. Food is ok, better than other IHOPs in Irvine. They almost did not seat our whole party because not everyone was there but they did eventually seat all eight of us. I guess I just need to learn to stop going to IHOP.
