Grace S Han, DMD

So far so good. Whole family went for our first appointment w/​Dr. Han. It was like clock work. We went in and out one at a time and didn’t take long. She was gentle w/​my kids and had lists ready for all the work we needed done.
We asked for a referral since our oldest needed beaces done. She gave us a referral to a dental office in Santa Anna and we are happy about it. My daughter is getting her braces done at an awesome price too.
Had my deep cleaning done a few days back and I must say its not the same as my old dentists. She takes her time cleaning and does not rely on the machine to do all the work.
I like Dr. Han’s personality. She’s nice and likes to converse.

Dr. Han is unprofessional and unfriendly. I came to Dr. Han when I was new to the area. At first, everything was going well. I had an appointment I waited for 5 – 10 minutes and I was called in. Dr. Han and her assistance. They did x-​rays and I was told I had 3 cavities. She told me that I had to make three appointments to do each cavity at a time. I told her that I have had many cavities in my life and I my dentist would do all my cavities at the same time. She said she couldn’t do that and that she had to do one at a time. Then I asked her what was the difference between white and silver fillings. I wanted know the benefits and the cost to each one. She seemed annoyed that I had questions. She told me that my business was not welcome here and not to come back. I didn’t argue with her and I just left. This doctor is unprofessional. She didn’t have other patients waiting and I’m not sure why she couldn’t answer questions. I also don’t understand why she couldn’t do at least 2 fillings at a time. I’m glad I was asked to leave because I don’t trust she would have done a good job.
I now have another doctor who answers all my questions and is able to do more than one thing at a time.

Ever since I’ve switched to Dr. Han, my family’s appts have been cancelled. I’ve made several appts only to have a phone call saying they have to cancel. They even blamed it once on the insurance company. Even when i finally got an appt, Grace wanted me to return to have xrays and cleaning. Umm. thats waht you do at a dentist appt. I shouldnt have to come back. She even told me I had to get a deep cleaning, which in all my life I’ve never been told. I switched immediately to a differnt dentist and they didnt reccommend a deep cleaning at all!

Bad experience and I never even set foot in the office. I have been trying to make an appointment with this office since February and it is now mid June. At first I had to switch my insurance to them which was fine but then Dr. Han began insisting that I go through the website instead of calling the office. I tried it many times but got no response by email and when I would call, only the answering machine picked up. Finally I got an answer by email about a month ago and it was some passive aggressive «we have been emailing you about this, you haven’t answered» crap. Umm I’m sorry but if your patient clearly has not been answering emails but has been calling the office, maybe try the phone instead? Plus, I did not receive any of their alleged emails, even after checking spam folders. She gave a lot of attitude even through emails, it was unnecessary and rude.
After sending over all of my information including a picture of my insurance card and a picture of the letter stating that my insurance had been switched to her office, she said she would contact me back on June 3. It is now June 14 and I have sent a follow up email but still have not received a response.
Well, one less patient for her, maybe now she will have time to call some other patients back.

Dr. Han knows how to treat patients on a personal and professional level. She always greets her patients with a smile and discusses issues in a calm and gentle way, like you are more than just a patient to her. Going to the dentist is not always easy, but if you go to her I guarantee you will have an easy experience.

DO NOT GO TO HER if you need any work other than basic cleaning. She is so passive-​aggressive, comes across gentle, but is stubborn and irresponsible.
I had the worst experience ever getting a simple filling done. She at first caused a trauma to the back of my throat as she leaves the suction tube unattended w/​no assistants. (her staff kept on changing every time I go in. She had no helpers at all at this time.) She claims she had nothing to do w it, when she herself told me abt the bruising she noticed right when she was finishing up.
Then after abt a wk, the filling comes off. She would not give me an appt to check if the filling is there or not. Rather she insists that I go see a root canal specialist since I’m experiencing sensitivity where I thought the filling had come off. I finally get an appt after ~2wks, she confirms that the filling is off. Takes another 2 wks to get n appt to redo the work. When I show up for the appt, she then says she still needs me to go see a root canal specialist before she does anything… so she sends me home. She wouldn’t even clearly explain the reason or the logic of it. I go see the specialist few days later… he is puzzled as to why I am even there… nothing is wrong and so I call back to set up the appt again to get the filling done. She will not get me in for another 3 wks… She then calls back and cancels the appt, saying that I now need to see an oral surgeon to get an OK… no logic once again!
After all the run about, she then tells me to go to a different dentist bec. I am asking for an appt that she cannot ans will not give. She refuses to finish the work she started!!! I had already paid my co-​pay for the original work. She finally agrees to refund me but only if I switch to a different dentist!
She will not take responsibility for her mistakes, nor will she accommodate on a professional level!!! VERY VERY disappointing!!!

Like many others, I have a huge fear of going to the dentist and have been putting it off for years! I’ve had horrible experiences in the past with dentists doing botched jobs and charging me ridiculous prices. But I finally found a great dentist that have squashed those fears for me. Thanks Dr. Grace Han! She is personable and professional — made me feel comfortable the moment I stepped into her office. During my deep cleaning, she made sure to stop and ask how I was feeling and if she should go on. She made friendly conversation to get to know me and made sure that I was being taken care of. My teeth were probably in horrible shape but she was very understanding through the whole process. I can say now — I’ve found a dentist I can trust and go to regularly without fear or embarrasment!

I’m so excited to be the first reviewer on Dr. Grace Han, DMD. I love my dentist. I have recommended her to family, friends, and co-​workers. I’ve been a patient for over three years.
Dr. Han cares about her patients. I don’t feel like just a customer to her. She remembers things about me personally and so we have more than small talk when I go in for my cleanings (and cavities). During procedures she is always concerned about my comfort and whether or not I’m experiencing any pain. I never have had to yet, but she always gives me the option to stopping and taking a break if I need one.
She is also very clear in explaining what she intends to do before doing it and allows me to make my own choices based on her recommendations. I think it’s important for the patient to be part of the decision making process.
Finally, and this is something that sets her apart from all of my previous dentists – I know what my bill is going to be prior to the procedure taking place. With other dentists, I received a bill that is vastly different than the estimate and has a bunch of line items for procedures I don’t understand and I end up having to trust them with what my insurance will cover and what it won’t. It’s not like that at Dr. Han’s. I’ve never been surprised by anything; I always knew up front what it was going to cost me.
