I never thought much of Golden Spoon since Yogurtland seemed like a much better alternative, but let me tell you, I was THOROUGHLY impressed by the quality of this location. The tables were spotless, the venue was lively, and the yogurt was unexpectedly delicious. If you come, make sure you ask for Tiffany. If putting yogurt into a cup were an art form, she would be Picasso. You’ll know who Tiffany is because as soon as you walk in the door, she’ll greet you with a cheerful smile on her face. You get the sense that she really cares about you and wants to satisfy your yogurty craving. Overall, I’d still go to Yogurtland.

It’s been a while since I was last here… WOW, the service here has really improved! SUPER friendly and their servings were generous! The servers were upbeat and very patient, willing to give me a ton of samples. I just got the waffle cone with my favorite toppings and my kids got a mini and a regular with a bunch of fun toppings too! they just ate it up and loved it!!! Makes me happy ’cause they use real milk here instead of milk powder like Yogurtland and all the other places. Heard in the next week they’re going to have Cookies N Cream, Toasted Coconut, and Glazed Donut! WOW Can’t wait to bring the family again!!! We’ll probably sit outside next time and enjoy the gorgeous patio area under one of the many cute yellow umbrellas!!! Just love it here!!!

Kinda irritated by this place. Went in and waited almost ten minutes for any one to serve me as they were in the back. I understand that workers have to do multiple jobs but if you’re going to go in the back at least be aware of customers walking in. Second, the lady didn’t put the lid on all the way(which doesn’t take that much effort before putting it in the bag) so when I got home there was yogurt dripping out everywhere. Also don’t understand why I couldn’t use my stamp card here since they have their own stamp card. Now I have to start all over, why isn’t it just a universal stamp card like any other company?

At one time I came here all the time, but a couple of years ago I became a fan of Yogurtland, where you can do your own toppings. Here you have to tell the worker which toppings you want; that might be more sanitary but it takes longer. I don’t know if it’s more expensive or not; I think they’re about the same. The way the toppings work is… well, I’m still not sure. The menu says«regular» or «mini» for 99 cents or 55 cents, and the lady said with the regular you get 3 scoops(I think) and the mini is less. So my friends and I got to select 3 toppings for the«regular’. It confused me initially, and obviously it still does… For two regulars and one mini yogurt(mini with mini toppings) it was $ 11 plus change. No tart here, which is my favorite, but I got the chocolate and peanut butter. The mini was plenty for me. The regulars have a huge«mountain» on top.

Yummy flavors, the froyo is nice and light and never leaves me dying for water after I’ve eaten it. They don’t skimp on the toppings either, adding them on top *and* below the yogurt. The staff is friendly. Try their seasonal flavors.

I really should’ve listened to the 3-star avg. of this place and avoided. Compared to my local golden spoons(Huntington beach) this is an awful value. It’s more expensive, by $.75 for a yogurt and $.25 for the toppings ANDYOUGETWAYLESS!!! They call ‘regular’ for what other GS’ call small and they really are weak on the toppings and yogurt. Take notes from magnolia & Atlanta or beach and Warner locations in Huntington Beach. I will not be back here. Deflated my love for GS.

Nice convenient location for a quick yogurt on a warm afternoon. The young ladies here are always pleasant, and are quick to fill my order. What’s wrong with this place? They have hardly any favors. Only 13 to choose from. Really! They should have at least 30.

Classic, consistent, and reasonably priced. If you come on Wednesdays they give you two stamps instead of one and I will be honest I get free yogurt all the time from doing this!!! My favorite is the peanut butter cup mixed with graham cracker mmm. They also will provide you with little many cups so you can taste before you purchase.

Really upset with the owner. Did not honor our get one 8 ounce free cup of yogurt after 8 stamps on our card. She claimed it was not her stores card. Where does it say on the card where it was stamped? But I only take my mom to this one on Alton near her home. Not going back, will plan to go to YogurtLand instead.

I have a lot of memories at this Golden Spoon. I have been coming to this location since I was in middle school. That’s ten years. So this place has a special place in my heart. I stopped by today since I was in this center and was craving some froyo. Everything looked the same except for the prices! Man they went up! I always get the mini and it would be more than enough for me but portions seem to have diminished. A free topping used to be included with any mini purchase but that’s changed too. For a mini and one topping it was about $ 3.50. A little pricey considering the size but I’ll probably be back. I love the chocolate vanilla swirl here.

Will not be returning to this location ever again. Change your«stamp» and no longer accept your old stamp… extremely shady! I literally have stamps from this location that they no longer honor because they bought a «new» stamp. So much for customer service and keeping loyal customers. Place has been going down hill last several months.

Went to this location tonight, I feel like its the most expensive golden spoon… I never remember paying 5.00 for a yogurt! C’mon now! Next, the quality of the toppings and yogurt is not the same as other golden spoons… No Fresh Strawberries, something from a jar… I’ll pass! They use cheaper non branded cups and bags… does this really matter, eh not really. However, when they give you a bag and you get home and rips on the way in from the garage, its kind of annoying!!! You can tell this franchise is definitely, owned and operated by Asians, there are signs everywhere, «no credit card unless 5.00», there is a label on the napkin dispenser«customer only»… well, it is irvine. Enough said, I’ll drive to Mission Viejo for my fix next time. Cheers!

It’s been almost a year since my last Unilocal review and I haven’t felt compelled to write anything until now. Why? In the past few months, I’ve frequented this location 7 – 8 times, and since I started coming to this location, I’ve noticed the prices gradually climbing. Tonight was the last straw. The price listed each size as costing over a $ 1 more than when I first visited here(for one of the sizes it was over a 25% increase). I hope the owner reads this because I want him/her to know this kind of PRICEGOUGING is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! To everyone else who reads this, go to the Golden Spoon at UCI Town Center(2 miles away), you’ll save around $ 1.50 per yogurt size.

I like Golden Spoon just fine(I’m more of a Yogurtland kind of girl). It’s not my favorite but the bf and his best friend love it. The service is always friendly but the flavors are a bit hit or miss. They tend to be a bit intense. Sometimes too intense. I prefer the tarts and we all absolutely love the salted Carmel. It’s not always here but should be… I know we’ll be back.

When I’m craving something sweet after work… Scratch that. When I have a crappy day at work, I like to stop by this location after my shift and get cake batter with rainbow sprinkles and it makes me feel a lot better. :) I’m always really nice to anyone in the service field because I know how it feels to get ungrateful and snobby customers, but no matter how nice I am the girls here are not so welcoming. I still give 3 stars though because the product really does make me feel better. Haha.

With so many options for frozen yogurt — this classic can be a little dated. The flavors aren’t as strong or as varied. However — the staff member who served us was super-friendly.(I wish I could recall her name because she was GREAT!)

After shopping at Ralphs at Alton Square, I was proud to have resisted the temptation to buy Klondike Bars but was still craving ice cream. I couldn’t think of anywhere nearby but then remembered Golden Spoon was in the same plaza… hmmmm…frozen yogurt… close enough! This location is very clean and the young man who was working here was quite pleasant. I got a small cup of coffee yogurt with some hot caramel sauce. They are very generous with their portions here — the small was what I’d consider a large and it was swimming in plenty of hot caramel. Sweet! The coffee flavor was strong and good, the best coffee flavor I’ve tasted in a frozen yogurt. While not as cheap as other frozen yogurt places, the quality seems to be better and more flavorful. They have a number of toppings to choose from. Not as many as other places but again, they seemed to be of better quality. I came in the early evening and it was fairly quiet, no waiting. This Golden Spoon is good choice if you’re after some frozen yogurt.
