Josie is amazing! I have looked for a stylist for years now. No one ever gets my color exactly as I describe, but Josie hit it out of the park! HIGHLY recommend!

Josie has cut my hair for about a year now. She’s very good and always does a great job with my hair. She’s professional and friendly. She does her best to accommodate your schedule. It’s always a pleasant experience with her. I would recommend any guy to have your hair cut by Josie. You won’t be disappointed.

I have followed Janice V. for years and she currently works here. This salon is super cute and all the stylists are extremely talented and friendly. Janice is the BEST stylist I have ever been to. She is awesome at cuts and color. Every appointment I have with her at Getting Looks is fun, personable, and I end up with the best haircut/​color!

I absolutely ADORE Josie! She is the best hairstylist I have ever been to. She understands your vision and makes it come to life! I love that she is such a sweetheart and cares about getting to know her clients on a personal level. She cut 15 inches off of my hair (which was a HUGE deal to me) and made me fall in love with a long bob! She knows exactly what she is doing and understands the artistry behind hairstyling.
I went to her based off of Unilocal reviews, so I was definitely nervous the first time, but the minute I walked in I knew she was the real deal. LOVE HER!!!

Gina was awesome! I had gotten my hair colored at a different place and it was way too light and orange (I wanted to be a brunette). She explained each step of the process– from why she chose the color she was choosing and also how the dye itself works. The dye she used didn’t ruin my perm and left me with a great color! She was also very friendly and outgoing– the hour appointment went by quickly! The communication was also amazing, and I left very happy

Such a great place to come get your hair done! Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful stylists! Kari is a long time friend (old coworker at a past salon) and the only one I would completely trust to chop off all may hair (not once, but twice!). She is great at everything she does and is so much fun. Wish this place was around when I was still doing hair in the salon!

KARI is an artist ! She is so sweet she makes you feel comfortable an did exactly what I asked for, she worked her magic giving me a cut with layers an a soft ombré. The color is amazing! The salon is also so cute, Love the vibes here, I would recommend Kari to anyone looking for beautiful hair !

Gina is great. I was fed up with my at home dye jobs which left me with a reverse ombré, and Gina fixed it! She took my originally black, box-​dyed hair with greys and made it a beautiful shade of medium brown that was a little darker at the roots and lighter in layers. And when my hair started to grow out I didn’t have an ugly line of old and new hair. I added a cut too that looks voluminous when curled and beautifully layered when I straight iron it. I get compliments all the time. When I tell friends about how much she put into it and how much I paid they are very impressed. The color is always changing too as time wears on and makes me love it even more. Gina’s spunky too — makes the time pass quickly. :)

Love this place! Josie is amazing at creating gorgeous color. Every time I leave, my color looks stunning and I get tons of compliments! I’m not very adventurous with my cut style, yet Josie seems to make me happy every time. Atmosphere is fun! So happy I found this salon.

So I decided to do my own color out of a box and let me tell you it was a disaster and Kari once again came to my rescue! I had my graduation Friday and ruined my hair the weekend before with box color. I don’t know what I was thinking. I wanted to go lighter on my red hair. Let me tell you it turned three different colors. Green, grey and blue. I’m not kidding. I should find a pic and post the before. I was so embarrassed to call Kari and tell her what I had just done. But I knew she would be the only one to fix it. I text her a pic of my hair and she wanted to know everything I used on it, box number, product in the box and how long I left it on. I was freaking because I could not go to graduation with green hair! Kari as amazing as she is opened the salon just for me the next day and told me she would do her all to fix it. And you know what she did! She fixed it!!! I tell you her skills are above and beyond. She makes you feel so relaxed and calm in moments when you are freaking out! I will never go to anyone else. I highly recommend Kari! My hair is so hard to deal with since it is red naturally but she does her magic and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks!

This review is waaaayyy overdue, nearly 10 years overdue!!! Janice has been my stylist for over the past 9 years. Once I found her I knew I’d never let anyone else touch my hair ever again!
When I first came to Janice, I was in desperate need of help after having a botched color job that left my hair looking like it had only been highlighted on one side of my head.
But thankfully, it was Janice to the rescue!!! She did so much more than fix it, she left me loving and raving about my hair! From then on, it’s been an amazing relationship!
Janice just understands my stick straight, long Asian hair and knows exactly how to give me a cut that will give me the the movement and volume I’ve always wanted!
She always makes great suggestions when I’m out of hair inspiration and she’s even down to go on crazy hair adventures, like the time I REALLY wanted platinum blonde panels. She gave me her straight up advice telling me that lifting that much color could leave my hair feeling like jello but if I still wanted to do it, she was up to the challenge! And for the next 6 months I proudly wore long platinum blonde panels in my hair and Janice gave me the best advice to care for my super processed locks.
All that to say, Janice is my favorite stylist and I’ve sent countless friends to her from all the compliments I get on my hair. Janice even did my hair for my engagement pictures and wedding day, giving me the best blowouts ever! Two thumbs up for Janice, she is a true Master of her craft!

Josie is amazing my color is perfect ! She is really sweet and good at color ! I just recently moved here from New Orleans and deff will be back. I like how it is individually owned and I definitely support small businesses.

Gina is the best! Always a great time when getting a cut and color with Gina. As a working mom sometimes I have mistakenly made due getting a cut/​colors closer to home but it’s worth it to carve out the time go see Gina in Irvine instead. Very cute salon & super friendly stylists. I’ve been a client for several years, since her previous workplace, and I am so glad that she branched out on her own. This time I added a Brazilian Blowout and it turned out great! Love the color & cut! Get Gina to cut you — you will not be disappointed!

Gina is a hair queen! I went in and showed her a photo, had a blast the entire time, and walked out with a perfect ombré fade. I’m so happy I found her. Trust, this girl knows how to make it happen.

I’ve been seeing Kari Jimenez at Getting Looks for years. She is an expert colorist and hairstylist. Always making sure that my latest (and greatest) idea for color/​cut is what I want and then making it happen. I’ve ALWAYS loved what she does. I won’t trade her for anything. Hair by Kari is the way to go. Sassy and fun! I can’t recommend her enough!

I’ve been seeing Deb for several years and when she told me she was moving here, I knew I had to follow her! This place is awesome. Deb is in Suite #7. I love that the stylists have there own individual room, making it a bit more private. Her room is very Zen like, with candles, plants, and has a beautiful relaxing photograph of a running creek in the green forest… take me away! Sit back and have a hot cup of coffee or choose from a nice selection of teas.
Deb takes a lot of time and listens to what you want done, and gives you helpful suggestions to fit your age, face shape, and lifestyle. Weather you are looking for a haircut or color, or both, I highly recommend her. I love this girl!

I first got my hair cut by Gina back in August of 2007, when she was working at Splitends in Costa Mesa. I gave her 5 stars back then — which you can see for yourself:
– because I thought she was cool and did a terrific job on my hair.
And I have seen no one since.
Now OBVIOUSLY I still recommend her. If 7 continuous years of outstanding service do not merit a «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» then honestly, I don’t know what does. If you are in need of a new stylist, or just want to try someone different, you should know that Gina specializes in men’s hair, razor cuts, and blunt in-​your-​face sassiness.
So here you go, Gina. Another 5 stars.
