This place is good and they have some pretty affordable prices here. It’s sad that they will be closing down soon, on Sep. 20, 2015 to be exact. I mean, I understand why. The area is too quiet. It’s a nice area though, and there’s 2 hour free parking in the back.

This location is more casual than their other restaurant. It has less seating and the menu is smaller and more casual. The food is still really good and you can phone your order in for pickup if you’re in a hurry. Located inside an apartment complex but parking is never an issue. Park in the structure if there are no open spots in front of the shop.

This place is so close to my work but yet I forget that it’s a great place to go for casual Japanese bento-type meals. Like its sister restaurant Fukada, the food consists of combos(sushi/salad/bowls). Everything I feel is reasonably priced, especially considering the portion sizes. I’m a fan of their spicy tuna bowl except I always have to add sriracha to make it actually spicy. The tuna is always fresh and the rice is perfectly cooked. The curry bowl is also pretty tasty but on my last visit, the potatoes were underdone(so a little harder than they should have been) and don’t expect copious amounts of meat in the curry. I see the benefit of their healthier chicken karaage but not being breaded kind of makes some of the chicken pieces(especially the smaller ones), a little dryer. Lunch gets really busy but dinner seems to be pretty mellow. The menu isn’t as expansive as Fukada but it’s definitely easier to get into.

FUKADAISSOGOODANDWORTH. Great place for a quick, filling lunch or dinner. Really sad they’re closing September 20, 2015. On the bright side, they still have their original location!

Oh Fukada 2 Go, you have blessed my tummy with your yummy goodness on tight my college budget for quite some time! & If you’re a student or live within close proximity to this general area or just want a quick bite to eat, Fukada 2 Go is convenient, affordable, and filling! I am never disappointed when I go to Fukada 2 Go! Nestled alongside a few shops in a small plaza within the WaterMarke, Avenue One, & Toscana you’d never expect to find this gem! It’s a great place to stop by when you’re hungry and craving some quick food to-go! You can dine in if that’s more preferable to you, however, it is a small space so seating is limited. If it’s a nice day, there’s also seats outside that you can sit at as well. During the lunch/dinner rushes, it can be difficult to find seats or parking, so be patient and grin/bare it! If you know that you don’t want to dine in and you don’t want to wait for your food, you can CALLAHEAD to place your order for pick-up. I have to admit that I opted for this option one too many times before, because sometimes I just like to eat in the comforts of my own home or at the park or something! My definite go-to here are the donburi bowls. Specifically, the Spicy Tuna Don. If you opt to get the regular size, they do give you a good and filling amount. The portions and ratio between fish and rice… Mmmmmmm, delish! However, when I’m craving a little more variation, they do have combo deals where you can either get a Mini donburi bowl with a salad or a mini udon! Depending on which salad you choose(tofu vs. seafood) the price can vary, but it still is worth it! Personally, I’ve usually opted for the Mini Udon with my donburi bowl! :) What I also love about Fukada2Go is that they don’t charge extra if you want brown rice in lieu of white rice! This is extra awesome to me. I’ve personally never had my spicy tuna don with white rice, but I don’t know if I feel like I’m getting the extra health benefits but I feel like the brown rice really just compliments the tuna Mmmmmm. If you dine in, they do bring the food to your table. Ouuuuu and there’s this extra topping or something in one of the containers on your table LOL… honestly don’t know what it is or what it is called, it’s the orangey one? I think it was that color or whatever when I was there last(Hahahaha…awkward) anyway it makes your food extra bomb dot com. Water is self-serve. Oh yeah, for all you card users. VISAANDMASTERCARDONLY!!! Definitely not a fancy place, so don’t come here with that expectation but definitely a great place to grab some delicious food and possibly chill with a friend or two. Always one of my options when I’m too lazy to cook hehe or craving that Spicy Tuna Don with brown rice thoughhhhhh(to be absolutely honest haha).

I’ve always went to the Fukada by spectrum before hearing about this. It was always a long wait. But Fukada 2 Go has great tasting food for a quick and cheap price! $ 8 for a mini udon and rice bowl(spicy tuna don is the best). they’re both pretty filling, I was able to save some of the spicy tuna for a later time. This has been a go to spot for me lately, despite the hot weather!

This is my go-to lunch spot on days I am eating without my work peeps. Not only is their spicy tuna don consistently awesome, I feel at ease eating alone here. Perhaps it’s the relaxed self-serve setting and the disposable containers. There is also outdoor seating when you want to avoid the crowd inside or just want some fresh air. I’ve been coming here since they opened years ago. There were no waits then and I even worried they may close down due to lack of customers. Well, I am glad that worry was unfounded.

Fukada 2 Go is inside the Irvine apartment complexes. I didn’t realize it was inside until my GPS told me to turn right into the apartments. There is underground parking for guests and parking in the front too. Had no problem finding a spot. Had lunch here with a friend on Friday at 11:30 am. No line when I got there. Ordered our food and got it in a few minutes. I think towards 12:15– 12:30 there was a line out the door. Place is nice and roomy and I thought was food was good. I ordered the bento box with pork cutlet $ 8.50. The pork cutlet was very tasty and thin. I enjoyed the dried seaweed that came in my dish. My friend liked his meal as well. Will come back again.

Came here and got the spicy tuna with udon combo for only 8 $! I was super hungry and it well satisfied my tummy. Quality of fish is very fresh and they have very generous portions. I highly recommend the spicy tuna with tofu salad cause it’s the best seller and tastes amazing. Simple with quality.

People always ask me if I miss living in southern California, and I don’t really. The only thing I miss is THEFOOD, especially Fukada 2 Go. :-((((((((To be exact — I MISSSPICYTUNADON :-( It’s seriously so good and I’ve tried to make it at home but ITSNOTTHESAME! What is that sauce/liquid they put on the rice that makes it sweet? What exactly is in that spicy tuna mix? CRACK?(Probably). Basically you get a massive heap of spicy tuna mixture on top of a fluffy bed of white or brown rice. I then proceed to dump even more sriracha on top and mix it up and shove it in my mouth. Ugh, so good. Nowhere in NorCal has anything like it. :( Their tempura don is also really good because that SAUCE they drizzle over it. Can my Japanese Unilocalers help me out and tell me what it is?! It even has a lotus root tempura which is pretty rare — i like it because it’s so crunchy. Those are the two main dishes I would get. Their prices increased over the years, but I still think it’s a deal for the quality and taste of the food. They have a sit down restaurant near the Spectrum, but this is way more convenient. They’re located in the same lot as an apartment complex, so parking can be difficult. There have been many a times where I wanted to swing by, but could not find parking and thus had to leave. :-( SIGHHH. Writing this review has made me sad, but it had to be done. If you’re reading this, haven’t been to Fukada 2 Go, and live in Irvine — GONOW. You will regret it if you don’t.

Actually never been to this Fukada before this past weekend, but I know/assumed that it was more or less the same thing as the other Fukada. AND I WASRIGHT! As I am 90% of my life. Looking back at my(other/og) Fukada review I’m a little surprised I didn’t rate that 5 stars. what? Was I too good for that shit? I find myself craving their spicy tuna don all the freaking time so I’m gonna update that review and bump it up to 5. after I finish this one. It’s only right. So yes this one is 5 stars for me also, and that’s because their spicy tuna don leaves me full, satisfied, and after I get over that food baby — craving for more. I honestly don’t know what it is about this dish. It’s the simplest thing. Chopped up spicy tuna with mayo over rice. My friend says it looks gross but he is no longer my friend. Ok but ya I didn’t try anything else from this Fukada sooooooo this is really just a rating for their spicy tuna don. But realistically speaking, that is probably all I’ll ever order from Fukada. Soooooooooo ya. lol ALSO that bowl of heaven is only $ 6. My friggen pressed juice is like $ 7 in DTLA so to find a delicious meal for $ 6 is just absurd nowadays. And also it breaks my heart that this place is so far from where I live now. I miss Irvine and the good ol college days.

I live a 5 min walk from here, so that probably gets a star for pure convenience. This place is my go-to when I’m hangry and don’t feel like cooking. Even better, I usually call ahead and my order is ready in about 15 min for pickup. The restaurant is clean and has a decent amount of seating if you want to eat there too though! Order the spicy tuna bowl(half brown, half white rice) with a mini udon combo and thank me later(~$ 8 I think) They don’t skimp on that spicy tuna and I always have leftovers.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #64 TL;DR good food, but not the same can be said for the environment Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon with a mission. To try their seafood salad. $ 10 for the combo for lunch? Wait What? Say it ain’t so! Yep, here at Fukada 2 Go, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Fukada. 2 Go. Portion sizes, to me, are cut down. Their seafood salad had 2 pieces EACH of salmon and albacore. Looking at the rest of the salad, it was munched down in 45 seconds. Meh. The combination(where you get to pick a seafood salad + a donburi or a sushi roll) is $ 10. Their spicy tuna don though. That is really über awesome. I still love it, always will, abide by it. This time, however it, they had a couple«fresh» red pieces randomly throughout the spicy tuna don, so I don’t know what that was about. It has a great taste especially with the mayo that’s added in, and it’s not spicy at all. Spiciness level: 0.5÷10. But oh god I love this so much. I was still hungers. So I walked back. Combos for noodles: You can get a mini bowl of udon + donburi for $ 8. Sounds like a good«deal» but looking at the amount of noodles that are in the sad small bowl, I’d rather go to the regular Fukada and get MORE for $ 1-$ 2 more. Their udon had the same taste as the regular Fukada(which is über awesome). The biggest thing I hated here: mini flies everywhere. One landed in my water cup and if I wasn’t observant, totally would have drunk it. They’re like addicted to Fukada 2 Go… This was the main gripe that I had(and the fact that everything is mini and small). Otherwise, food is good and matches to the main Fukada in Los Olivos Center. If I had to choose though, I would go there instead. Come here only if you’re in a rush or you want to eat smaller portions.

Finally got to try this place out. It’s kind of in a secluded place where only rich college kids live I think… Thought we were lost getting here because it didn’t look like there would be any restaurants in the area. We got combo 1(mini udon with a bowl, $ 8) with the hijiki don, the seafood salad and curry don combo($ 10), and katsu($ 3?) on the side. Apparently, the curry was too sweet for the bf(caramelized onion taste), the salad was soooo goood! Amazing dressing, udon was pretty good, katsu is said to be generic, and the hijiki was sweeter than I imagined but still good. There were so many options! Didn’t know what I felt like eating! Got here around 230pm for a late lunch and there were only 3 other people in here but who knows how it is when it’s lunch or dinner time.

The popular thing to order is the spicy tuna don layered on top of brown rice!(or white rice, your preference) Simple yet delicious. It’s a pretty generous serving and it fills you up pretty quickly! I also noticed that the brown rice has a hint of sweetness to it but it’s good! Add some soy sauce to your bowl and you’ve got yourself a quick yet yummy meal.

YOYOYO. Hold up. Spicy tuna don on top of a bed of rice?(I prefer brown, by the way). How can something so simple taste so good? I think the spicy tuna don bowl by itself is about $ 6.50 and for just $ 2 more, you can get a bowl of udon with it. A steal! A delicious steal! Only down side is it’s impossible to call these guys to place an order. Either they ignore my calls or something is wrong with their phone. I’ve gotten through them once to place a pick-up order but that’s it. And I go after the lunch rush too :(Please pick up my calls… Sincerely, your needy spicy tuna don fan. I’ve also tried the egg and chicken(?) don and it was a little too sweet and salty for me. I think I’ll just stick to my spicy tuna don… forever. *heart*

I work near the main Fukada Restaurant and my friend lives near this«to-go» location so I’ve eaten at both establishments. The main restaurant is just«meh» to me as I feel it’s a bit overpriced for udon and other starchy staples. Add the wait time to it and it got booted from my list of places to frequent. For this to-go location, there is no wait and the menu is minimized quite a bit. – Udon + Salad combo = $ 8 I ate this on my first visit. Salad is great because I love the sesame dressing but the udon is still the same. Tastes fine but not great out of a plastic bowl. – Fried Squid Legs = $ 5 This sounded great on the menu but when I received it, there was only a few pieces on a big bed of lettuce. I didn’t realize I was getting the Squid Legs SALAD. It was also very tough to chew and came with a small container of sesame dressing. Definitely NOT worth it. – Chicken Kara-Age Bento = $ 7 I love Chicken Kara-Age when done right,(like the now closed down Bentoss) but this location does a poor job. They are«square» pieces of chicken, lightly battered, and it was extremely dry. To a point where it took effort to swallow(that’s what she said!?) I had to dip the pieces in the salad dressing in order for it to palatable. My friends got Curry Don($ 6) and Spicy Chicken Bowl($ 7). Supposedly the Curry Don was good but I tried the Spicy Chicken Bowl and it was also dry as well. If you come here, I would stick to the Udon combos!

Okay, it’s closer but the parking isn’t fun and the food isn’t that great(compared to the actual restaurant). I had to park in the parking structure(the first 2 hours are free) and I had to fight to back into a space facing a wall… Needless to say, it was hard and not fun at all. When I got there, I ordered a mini udon bowl with a small seafood salad(#4) and I got a beef mango curry with brown rice Togo. The fish in the seafood salad was roughly cut and chewy): not great but not that bad. The dressing and salad was the same as I remembered. The udon was good, the styrofoam bowl made it feel cheap though… Felt like I was eating instant udon at home): I saved the beef mango curry for lunch the next day and it was delicious. I would definitely that again if I was around the corner. Bottom line: I would probably stop by for a quick Togo order or a lunch but I wouldn’t expect too much from this place. I give it 3.5 stars

Super affordable meals here. Shared two combos… The Spicy Tuna Don with Brown Rice + Mini Udon: The spicy tuna over rice didn’t impress me as much as i thought it would. Halfway through I started struggling to finish and would probably prefer the finely chopped tuna and spicy mayo in a sushi roll next time. Seafood Salad + Mini Udon: It came with seared albacore and salmon over a bed of mixed greens. I liked the freshness of the salad. Preferred this over the Spicy Tuna Don. Like many others, i appreciated the veggies in the udon. It added so much to an otherwise simple noodle soup.
