History

Established in 2000.

First Class Tax and Bookkeeping was established circa 2000, with all of our bookkeepers working with various successful firms and CPA firms we served from around the country. In 2012, we decided to form First Class Tax and Bookkeeping and take a leap ourselves. We focus on Bookkeeping and Tax and that is all. Several of our Managers are Enrolled Agents (EA). The enrolled agent profession dates back to 1884 when, after questionable claims had been presented for Civil War losses, Congress acted to regulate persons who represented citizens in their dealings with the U.S. Treasury Department.

An enrolled agent (EA) is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels – examination, collection, and appeals – of the Internal Revenue Service.
