Emily Kao – Keller Williams Realty

As a client and/​or business associate, I look for professionalism, honesty, sense that I am the most important person (at that moment), detailed but able to see the big picture, and driven.
Emily meets and exceeds all those points. She made our house search and purchase a breeze, and I cannot recommend her enough! Looking back at the 5-​star reviews I’ve given out, I’m tempted to drop most of them to 4s, just so Emily can get the only 5. She completely wrecked the curve for everyone else I’ve reviewed.
PROFESSIONAL
Emily really put her heart into helping us move. Bright, attentive, focused. Wearing her green dress and comfortable shoes, name tag pinned perfectly, she is polished without being unapproachable. She is all business until you get to know her, and then the true warm, caring, funny person comes out.
During the process, the selling agent was un-​responsive. Emily pushed hard to get things back on track, without upsetting the other agent. She showed up to every meeting fully prepared with research and all documents organized.
HONESTY
Emily is still relatively young, but she knows what she doesn’t know. For most questions, she could answer clearly and concisely. However, we posed a few questions that she did not know the answer to. Instead of a BS answer to win our approval at the moment, she said she didn’t know, and would come back with an answer, backed with research and detail.
Emily is genuine and wanted to get every step of the deal done right. No shortcuts, no vagueness, no don’t-worry-about-its, no nudge-​and-​a-​wink agreements. We felt comfortable knowing every decision made with her input was the right one.
CLIENT FOCUSED
Despite Emily having multiple clients, I had her 100% attention whenever we met/​spoke. She never checked her phone or got distracted while we were speaking. We truly felt like she had our best interest in mind, and the deal was not just another commission check to her.
Emily checked in with us almost daily to make sure we received documents, gently reminded us to sign and return documents, or just called to see if we have any questions or concerns.
After the purchase, we leased the home back to the sellers for a few weeks so they could pack and move. Emily was there to help us with the lease — negotiating deposit, rent, doing the move-​out inspection. She also offered to supervise the home improvement work we had done, just so we could focus on packing up the old house.
Even after the move, she called to make sure everything was going well, and to see if everything was working, and offering to take care of things if we didn’t have time.
DETAIL ORIENTED
With two young kids, we did not have time to read through the mountain of paperwork. Emily summarized the standard forms and clearly explained the non-​standard items. She COMBED THROUGH the inspection report, highlighting areas of concern, summarized and presented items for us to focus on.
During conversations, Emily would listen, and pick out what was important to us. At the next phone call, she would remind us what we had talked about, and explain what she had researched or found out.
DRIVEN
During one of our meetings, Emily shared a bit of her background. Truly impressive young woman who took on a lot to help her family and improve the lives of those around her.
She is regularly attending training sessions, asking for input/​feedback, and promises to make sure the next client (hopefully you) will be as happy as we are.
TL, DR (Too Long, Didn’t Read) version: Emily made our house purchase process a breeze. Honest, caring, attentive to our needs. I have dealt with several realtors in the past, and she is truly the best.
